Just got mine today havent hooked it up yet but man i cant wait to try it out it feels very well made, and i bought the T3PA PRO addon pedals and boy they also fell very sturdy and made of 100% metal.
yea its pretty well made, after a few month still holds up strong

Awesome. I will get one too, if i can afford it, my g29 Shifter, which i used with a adapter for my t300 Rs just broke. You should learn how to heel and toe shift, so you dont ending up locking your wheels, it will make you a much better better driver and is a lot of fun. Have fun with this awesome Shifter

i wouldnt say heel and toe is necessary unless youre going for lap times on a track tried doing when driving irl and dont notice a difference just more work but sounds really cool or if youre downshifting in high rpm coming of the highway or similar road

Do you know if it works with Xbox series S/X? Connecting the shifter directly to the console like the weel actually is? Heard about just in some games but wanna be sure before go on it. Looking for play it with Assetto Corsa mostly.
I would like to know if this works with g920 on Xbox series x as well. I bought the usb simulator metal shifter an it shows it’s compatible with g920 but not for Xbox, very frustrating lol sending it back an just want to know if the TH8A shifter will work
On any console, the shifter which is compatible with and the same brand as the wheel will work. A USB shifter that cannot be connected to the wheel will not work. Only a shifter that connects directly to the wheel instead of the console. Although on PC/Computer it will work with USB.

Pedals always come with the steering wheel. Then the shifter is separate.

Seats from actual vehicles are very comfortable and can be found fairly cheap. If you are struggling to find one that you think would be good look for some of those.
Does the stifter work if i plug the usb cable into my ps4 instead of a steering wheel.
you cant plug it into your wheel i believe, from what i know you can only plug it directly intro your console.

Yes it does. You have to make sure in the settings it is set to "manual" instead of "manual with clutch".
hey I have a question. in the games I tested, I can shift with the TH8A without using the clutch. Why does TM put a clutch pedal in when I can just shift without one? Are there any games that support the clutch?
There is a couple of games that support the clutch

You seem to be using a Logitech wheel (Canr see properly so not sure) Does it work with a Logitech wheel and for that do you directly connect it to the pc rather than to the wheel like how you would with a Logitech shifter?

Jenson is right, it just goes directly into your pc using USB. Then in the settings of your racing game you can configure it.
@@CraigSpeed How expensive is it? I primarily play ETS2, ATS and fernbus coach sim rather than racing games and my logitech shifter is starting to become more difficult to get into gear easily.
@@michaezell4607 Usually will cost you around $180, but it changes in price. You might be able to get a good deal on it today since its prime day.

Does forza horizon read the shifter as a second controller? Because then when you idę the shifter it will unplug the wheel
It shouldnt be read as a second controller, just make sure you have the gears bound to the right gears in the settings.
does anyone know if this works with the logitech g920? like an easy setup and not an hour long thing thats too complicated?

Thank you! If anything the thrustmaster shifter is just a little easier to shift comparted to a slightly more hard to move manual in a car. Mainly the gateways when entering a gear in a real car are harder to go into.

@@whalen_007 not really. you release the clutch slowly due to letting the engine RPM catch up with the wheel RPM. when the clutch is fully depressed in, the wheels will only move based on momentum, regardless of what the engine is doing. the reason that you have to let the clutch out slowly is, unless you are rev matching, which is incredibly difficult, the wheel and engine RPMs will be different, and if you let the clutch out too quickly, the car will stall due to the fact that the engine is not caught up/too fast (which can help initiate a drift, if the engine is significantly higher RPM than the wheels (see clutch kick)) with the wheel RPM. hope this helps!

Is there a reason why you go through all the gears while downshifting?
Because why not?
@@CraigSpeed in real life you should shift to neutral while breaking. What you did it's called engine braking, but down shift only one gear with lower revs, otherwise you'll burn the clutch pressure plate... Of course this is for your real-life driving.

Is the thrustmaster Th8a compatible with the T80 Racing wheel? because I'm planning to buy one.
The TH8A is compatible with all racing wheel because it plugs into the pc separately. As of right now they are out of stock, but you can get them here for a pretty low price - amzn.to/3uH0ZYW

Sorry for the late reply, the shifter turns on automatically as long as its plugged into a usb port. All you need to do is configure the shifter in game settings.

I tried to get my th8a and g920 to work together on xbox one and it didnt work. Had to get a drivehub

Most likely the g920
G29 has more buttons and the led indicator, from the inside they're both the same so I'd say the g29 is better if you can find it for a similar price
@@matess3655 your thinking of the brand new wheel lg just made, the g920 and the g29 are almost the exact same thing, with the g920 it is made more for xbox, and pc supports xbox more than ps4. Therefor the g920 is a better wheel for pc. Plus the g29 has been having alot of bad feedback lately.

Yes, a lot of cars have a 7th gear. Sometimes I even have to go to the paddle shifters to make it to 8th gear.

It should work as long as there is a usb port for it to go into. Check out the link in the description. It may say its compatibility somewhere on the listing.

I'm pretty sure I was, when I recorded this I was new to manual with clutch, as of right now I have it perfected, don't be so quick to judge.

Yep, I say that because I can see alot of people opening it the other way while possibly standing up, and the shifter can fall right out and potentially causing damage. I almost did this myself.

go in the wheel settings and make sure each physical gear is bound to each gear in the wheel settings.

Real life driving is different.
The problem is that Forza Horizon 5 with wheels is slower lap times compared to controllers, specially in online pvp, arcaders hit your car and you are done. 😂😂😂
I have not seen anyone doing online pvp with wheels, calling it a proper thing for fh5.
