What is Resleriana? (in-game term / word) | Atelier Resleriana

Resleriana - an illuminated place of gathering
Many people got pretty confused when Resleriana RW got revealed without Resna and Valeria around, but I like to say it's KT and Gust's fault for not making it obvious that they want Resleriana to be referred to as an in-game term that actually meant something for anything related to its own series lol

This alongside people calling Resna as Resleriana always make me chuckle

It's KT's fault tbh. The first reveal trailer only showed Resna, leading to people thinking that the only protag in the game is just her. Afterwards (in the 2nd trailer) they revealed Valeria, but many still don't realize that the game features dual protags
It came to a point where people had wrong thoughts like:
"Atelier Resna"
"Atelier Resna and Izana" (Because Resna and Izana were shown sitting together in the first trailer)
"Atelier Resleriana is Resna's name but longer"
"Atelier Resleriana is Resna & Valeria's name mixed in together"
The only time they ever mentioned that:
"The Resleriana word has a meaning, look forward to it in the game!"
was through an interview with Hosoi via Famitsu.
They're so weird with it and they should've been just upfront all about it from the very start to avoid confusion 🥲

It's funny how often it's still misunderstood 😅
But isn't Valeria and Resnas name mixed together true too? I think in a later chapter Resna mentioned that after Valeria uses alchemy too, that it's funny that part of Valerias name is in Resleriana as well. So it wasn't originally intended for her but still fits 😄

@@puddingpanda645 Yeah, it's more of a coincidence when you consider the in-game chronological events but outside of that it's pretty intentional that Gust wanted to mix Resna & Valeria together. So maybe Resleri RW's protags will be a another "dissection" for the "Resleriana" game title lol

I always thought it was a combined version of the names Valeria and Resna (like Eschalogy)

EschatoLogy was a good approach
but Resleriana being an in-game term instead of a real dictionary term made things feel really awkward for everyone
