Thank you for also showing how you use this, how you position it on the desk. It's an important detail they leave out of too many reviews.

I purchased this same tripod 4 years ago and still in mint condition and fully functioning still, you can also remove the centre column to actually have this flat with the legs on their lowest setting excellent in my fauna/flora photography with my micro four thirds set-up.

I have one of these as well. I only perchased it BECAUSE you can unscrew and remove the bottom half of the centre column. Rock solid with the legs fully splayed out and perfect for indoor macro photography.

Very useful! I plan on using this tripod to hold an Osmo Pocket that I'll be using for video and perhaps my cell phone and for videoconferencing at home. I'll use my Fuji X-T4 on it in some circumstances. I appreciate the comparison to a travel tripod--very helpful.

Any Aliexpress link for this one? ((or maybe a similar one where you can face the lens 90' down towards the table to scan 35mm film without the camera tipping off....??)

Thank you for the comment and for watching 😀. That little tripod is one of the best things I’ve brought... unlike the one from Wish in my latest video 😂

The person that put a DSLR + 70-200 (f 4 ) lens should have used the lens collar , rather than mount the camera and lens directly on the ball mount of the tripod , which would ultimately rip the baseplate off the camera body if used constantly .
( btw my regular use tripod, is a cheap and cheerful Manfrotto Element which cost me around £100 on Amazon )

Yes - that is true. The center of balance will be very far forward so lots of stress on the camera tripod thread. Still - the fact that the tripod will stand it is a testament to its strength… even if they end up destroying their camera. Thank you for watching 😀

@@TomFrickerPhoto I think I''ll weigh my 70-200 f 2.8 lens BEFORE I even think about trying trying to mount it with my DLSR on this tripod , which I hope to purchase anyway ( in part due to your video )
