I am using the Pixie 2 which can be adjusted in height the same way as the Movo. If I had known about the Smallrig though I would have bought that one. I use my gimbal for smooth pans and it would have been perfekt as a second pair of tripod legs and it plays nice with my camera cage which is arca-swiss compatible.
This channel has made me spend so much money for my Android phone! But it was all worth it! After watching this video , I feel my wallet opening back up again.
I have had all three, the Manfrotto ball head becomes loose after a while "for example" my Samsung s9plus was not heavy and it shifted the tripod after 1 year, and I use my gear every day, the move is alright but the knob to tighted the ball head broke, but the small rig... I have had it for 3 years and it has not had one problem, it might start having problems in another year or 2 but who knows
This is why I love this channel, not only have I paid for the classes which I encourage everyone to do so. But anyway I was just looking for table top tri pods for my short film and here you go saving the day again. Thank you 🙏🏾
MeFoto made an amazing desktop tripod that did everything a normal tripod would and... and would fold/extend out to 24” high but collapse to less than 12”. So expensive to find now (70-90 bucks)
My favorite is the Wing from edelkrone… geni.us/9upW. I use it almost daily. If you want a more traditional one they have them too or look at Kessler or Rhino. Thanks for watching!
Great video. Looking for a mini tripod for my iPhone, how’s the SmallRig Mini as a hand grip? The Manfrotto PIXI feels pretty good on hands. Wanna know if the SmallRig is any better? Thanks
Thanks for the reviews I was looking at table top tripods just this week and didn’t make a decision until now. BTW some of your videos have you ta a park with a lake is that by chance Whiterock?
no one is saying what will happen if you put the legs open to lets say 45 degrees and you place some tension on the top of the tripod, like 2-3kg, will it stretch the legs accidentally? How sturdy those legs joint are?
Great video - Thanks! However I want to purchase a tabletop tripod for Xmas for someone who will use their iPhone as a webcam for zoom and I just don’t know what to do! The pixi seems too short and the movo seems like it might be too tall to approximate webcam height? The small rig seems like overkill for this purpose. Would love advice on what might be best for this use. Thanks so much!
You might look at getting a Joby bendy tripod to attach it to a computer or mount wherever you need. Or get a small tripod and attach a selfie stick (with a 1/4-20 mount) to it to raise the phone up and move it into position. Good luck!

Dankeschön! Very helpful video!

Haha, these tools are definitely cross-platform. :) Thanks for watching!
I prefer and using the manbily MT01
Manfrotto makes excellent and durable tripods!

Yeah, the SmallRig is definitely the most robust. Thanks for sharing your experience with these.
I think that monopod tripod kit from altura photo is a pretty good option too
The one I keep seeing is the Beastgrip tripod. It looks like the Smallrig, but I could never make up my mind🤷🏻♂️ Glad you do these comparisons 🙏
Yeah, need to check that one out too! Thanks for watching.

Awesome! Great to hear. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel. :)
The Beastgrip is my favorite even though it costs a little more

Have seen those but not tried them. Sound a bit pricier, but nice. Thanks for sharing the info!
I prefer M33 Velbon that has arca swiss and is very light and stable.
Thanks for the great video 👍 noticed you are also using a slider, what brand you recommend?

It’s not as good as a hand grip, but it is a super solid tripod, and I use it a lot. But for lightweight run & gun, you can’t beat the Manfrotto.

Good deal, thanks for watching! And yeah, some shots at WRL.

Do you have a link to the iPhone holder? Shoulder Pod?
Should be a link in the video description or if not go to our gear page www.iphoneographers.tv/apps-gear

This is great.
How is the ball head on the second one easier?
The third one has the best ball head. The one on the second is it’s weakest aspect.
SmallRig and Andoer Mini looks The sabe model. Someone can confirm?
What is holding the cell phone?
That’s a Shoulderpod. You can use any kind of tripod mount. Ulanzi makes some good ones too.
And, of course, now I get ads for the PolarPro tripod 💸
First! (How many "first" do I need until I receive some of your left-over goodies? LOL!)
A giveaway is in the works. :)
