  • While staying with family on the bitterly cold day of Friday, January 3rd, 2020, I encountered Pan Am EDPO as it flew east through Ayer with a trio of ex-CSX C40-8s. Hoping to chase the train, I drove to the siding in Westford, MA, to find a tied down AYPO with a single C40-8W in charge. It wasn't long before EDPO showed up and crawled to a stop, and it soon became apparent that the train was combining with AYPO. The crew started up AYPO's leader, before uncoupling it and attaching it to their original set of power. After pulling forward to grab AYPO's train, which consisted of only Eimskip Containers, EDPO was back on its way.

    Thanks for watching!

I have another feeling that in addition to Pan Am ordering new GEVOs from GE, I guess they should run some double stacked intermodal trains of Eimskip containers and Amazon Prime truck trailers on flatcars as well, other than the Pan Am intermodal trains 22K and 23K.

I have a feeling that Pan Am should be delivering 100 ES44ACs and 86 Tier IV ET44ACs later in 2021. Do you know that?
