I'm totally fine with someone saying they would like a recount - it is there right. But crying that there is cheating or corruption with ZERO proof should not be happening.
in a close race, recounts are automatic
@@Daedalus_Dragon Except that here, one of the candidates has to pay for it. This should not be. Recounts should indeed be automatic whenever the winning percentage is below a specific level.
Depends on state law. If it's close enough for the state to require a recount then the state pays fore it. If it's "close enough" that a candidate thinks they might win through a recount yet not close enough that the state's law requires one automatically, they can ask for one but they have to pay for it. Recounts cost time and money. Otherwise we might still be recounting the 2000 election. "I demand a recount!" "OK we recounted and you didn't win." "I demand another recount!" "OK we recounted and you still didn't win." "I demand another another recount!" etc.
Belief is enough in their world. These people don’t understand the objectivity of evidence and proof. Since Trump has made it his modus operandi, they feel entitled to pushing their beliefs as reality.

If a politician claims fraud, and it's found to be intentionally false, they should forfeit their position in the government. If it's true, then nothing changes for the claimant. By default. Claiming fraud should be a serious matter with consequences for abuse.

The fact that you can demand a recount if the votes are within a small percentage is fine. The fact that you have to pay for it is insane. Either the result is questionable because it's so close, or it's not. How much money you have shouldn't be a part of it.

Most states specify automatic recounts Iin their laws. However, a primary is not a state election. It is a party election, so i dont know how those state law autorecount laws would apply.

@@TheMisterGuyIt is a private affair. The primaries are privately funded affairs they don't even have to have one if all the candidates drop out. When it comes to recounts in a primary it is up to the candidate to pay. Unless the State has its on laws to fund it. If a candidate cannot raise enough money to pay for a recount.then it is obvious the candidate is not popular enough to risk as your choice for a general election. Popularity and the ability to raise enough money to handle the basic minimum requirements is part of the selection process. A candidate with much less money can win but a candidate to broke for a recount is obviously not viable.
