  • Italians like these cookies dry and hard, while American versions are buttery and more tender. We wanted something in between-that is, crisp but not tooth shattering.

That's a lot of work for a treat that I could eat in one afternoon. 🤣 Happy Valentine's Day

It's not really right to say "biscotti" means twice cooked in Italian. It means "cookies" and refers to many kinds of cookies (the type known as "biscotti" in English are called "cantucci" in Italian). Saying it means twice cooked is like saying "biscuit" means twice cooked (similar origin). It's a word which has a meaning more than the parts.

So, according to the captions Julia and Becky are know as "Blonde" and "Brunette"... 🤨

  • @ohmy9479

Start your cut in the top middle and your biscotti ends won’t break off!

As much as I love the idea, bang for buck leads directly to Spritz ribbon bars. Wham, bam, yes I'll have another because I can.

They mentioned coffee, what about tea? Any biscotti is great with tea.

  • @mayonnaiseeee

lol the closed captioning is describing Julia and Becky as 'Blonde' and 'Brunette.' Lovely recipe though, love that combo of spices - like a kicked up pumpkin pie spice and/or apple pie spice. They must taste amazing.

I recently made the almond biscotti, and it was the best biscotti I've ever had. Pleasant almond flavor and just the right amount of crunch. I'd like to make this pistachio version, too!

  • @Sbannmarie
