I completely agree with the point he was making about disaster funding. Too many presidents have the power to wield funding like a scepter of favor. States should be much more autonomous when it comes to these issues. If you live in a state where there is a foreseeable occurrence of tornadoes, or hurricanes, or any other natural disaster, then set monies aside for the day they will come. People in other states shouldn't be required to pay for your bad planning. They should choose to do so themselves by paying to charity.

I am translating the Federalist Papers to Farsi/ Persian in video clips posted on one of my Playlists on UA-cam . The Papers are the Alphabet Of the Language of Federalism practiced in the U.S. for the last 230 years. As you all know, Languages can be used for Hate or Love, Building or Destruction, Wisdsom or Self Delusion.

“I don’t particularly agree with ___, but that’s beside the point…” should be our motto for all discussions, how can we get there? 20:55

The Federalist Papers are about as relevant today as 2 plus 2 equals 4 meaning the writings are based on principles (rules) that never change as they are not based on written law (remember, the country was created when people were under British Law and the new Constitution when people were under the Articles of Confederation). They are based on Natural and/or Divine Law depending on whichever the individual chooses to uphold and those principles do NOT contradict despite false claims made by people wrongly educated.
There are mathematical principles associated with the government and described in the Federalist Papers that have been violated, but only because of ignorance or a lack of knowledge of them. For some unknown reason FOOLS believe it is important to know both sides, when both sides are covered very well in the Federalist Papers and basically manipulated and wrongly represented by the other side (the Anti-Federalists).
In fact, it was from reading the Federalist Papers and studying them on my own that I came to realize how great the U.S. Constitution truly is and how wise those that created it were as they covered many things. Things that many pervert, twist and teach incorrectly in schools and universities. They are papers that anyone with the time can take up, study, research and learn on their own if done properly. In fact, an individual probably stands a better chance of learning what they truly say then relying on teachers that don't really know the Federalist Papers at all (not meaning Sanford Levinson).
Most people have no clue that the House of Representatives was designed to protect people from having too few representatives, and the Senate designed to prevent from having too many as I myself only learned that by reading the Federalist Papers. Nor, do they realize how Aquinas relates to having three branches of government. John Mill wrote an excellent chapter on the mode of voting.
John Locke another I enjoyed as I had the ability once to purchase a copy of the Great Books of the Western World and did. Only I read the good authors, and haven't read the tyrants, not sure if I want to read them either, but I have read Epictetus several times. And I don't mention these things to brag, but only speak of them in hopes others might find them of an interest too and read the books as well, but too many would rather watch the Simpsons, keep up with the Kardashians, wrestling, football or something else. They are like a juror that only wants to show up and give a verdict (vote) without hearing the trial (election, debates) at all.
Could go on and on, but what is the point? Like Epictetus said, no matter how much a person might not like a bush for being a tree to climb, it will remain a sticky bush doing whatever it is bushes do. Not a gardener, could care less. Give me some hedge trimmers and I will trim it down to the ground. Besides, I don't have time to watch the above video, but I did have time to answer the question and hope Sanford Levinson's book causes more people to want to read the Federalist Papers, study it, research it, learn what the words meant back then as some of the meanings have changed, and know taking a trip around the globe isn't about the destination as you end up where you started from...……….it's all about the journey.

I couldn't disagree more with the host stating that homogeneity of our country is not valued. In fact it is and or should be. Citizenship , and prioritizing the American culture to inspire assimilation to it amongst immigrants , is utmost importance to the survival of the most successful representing republics in word history , these United Sates.

The key to understanding "The Federalist" is, 1.It had little or no impact on the ratification of the Constitution and too much emphasis is placed on it today; 2. The system they argued for in no way worked out as they argued.

Of course they are relevant. Actually now, more than since they were written possibly. They are a detailed explanation of the Constitution itself. Take our current situation. The claim that Trump can or cannot be prosecuted without impeachment, and conviction by the Senate is explained in detail. With no interpretation needed.
The President of the United States would be liable to be impeached, tried, and, upon conviction of treason, bribery, or other high crimes or misdemeanors, removed from office; and would afterwards be liable to prosecution and punishment in the ordinary course of law.
    Alexander Hamilton
    Federalist #69
It specifically states “afterwards.” Being this is what was used to convince delegates and the American people to adopt the Constitution. This is absolutely what that section of the 14th amendment means. It’s irrefutable.
Also states keeping him off the ballot. They say in several situations, such actions give states power over the Federal Government. From what I remember, it seems like it would also have to be a Congress decision. Not a SCOTUS decision. Because that puts an exceptional amount of power in too few of hands. As it states, the more people involved in making the decision, the less chance of corruption deciding. Though this specific issue isnt addressed. Its safe to believe they would have the same view on this as other similar situations.

i like the antifederalists . i guess federalists explain articles confederation and magna carta are still effect too . big part is your a king and queen and your court wins over government and lawyers .. thats where you get your rights to be free non taxes is using public courts . you make the law and make claims and verify where as government can't testify or verify and lawyers are not witnesses and can't speak in court . article 6 paragraph 2 . no status and codes allowed in the original jurisdiction . ends government corruption . you decree the law , punishment , compensation. claimant vs wrongdoer .
