At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Hatice is typical spoilt princess, who thinks she is better than others. She never had to fought for anything and Hurrem had to cope with many obstacles. After marrying the Sultan Hurrem is the most important woman in the palace

Hatice was a thankless lady.. Many times hurrem helped her.. She pounced upon hurrem when she told her that ibrahim was cheating on her.. It was so sad to see.. She made hurrem her enemy.. Hatice always turned a blind eye to the wrong doings of ibrahim.. Hurrem had enough reasons for getting rid of ibrahim. If only ibrahim had got into an alliance with hurrem, he and ibrahim would have ruled the world.

What happens between the ibrahim and hatice was definitely not Hurrem's business but it was sure that ibrahim would not let any of hurrem's son to ascend to throne.. As ibrahim only wanted mustafa to ascend throne. So hurrem was right in getting rid of ibrahim. So yeah for her and her sons' existence there was no other choice

now I begin to think that even though he did cheat on nigar, the way Hatice treated with kind of things that she is above him, and can destroy his life in a sentence pushed him to do so, what kind of man that can live the way Ibrahim lives? I mean how can there be a happy marriage if one thinks that they can destroy their partner's life just because one has more power over the other. watching him a little bit again I know Ibrahim is wrong but Hatice pushed him so much

No wonder her own husband cheated on her, she pushed him to it not that it's an excuse but like her view of marriage is just business no respect, love, communication, loyalty, maturity, understanding and overall a good heart and mentality.

13:10 I'm all for girl power but no man, no human for that matter, likes being seen as expendable in the relationship. You cannot build a healthy marriage thinking that you can destroy your partner if you wish because you are more powerful than them.

There's a thing called evil eye. When someone is happy in their life, it's said in islam that you Should keep that happiness private until it becomes permanent. In those eras these beliefs were strongly practiced and followed by Many people. I understand after Hatice had her miscarriage she wanted to keep her second pregnancy private. And when she heard Hurrem told Suleiman about it. She got angry. Although she didn't tell Hurrem that she wanted to keep it private. But in the beginning she didn't say anything rude. She just acted annoyed. Stayed silent. That's it. It's not that she got angry because HURREM did it. If Mahidevran or gulfem would do it she would have reacted the same. Hurrem as always made it personal. Hurrem could've tried to understand it .and could've made the situation much better by saying her that I didn't know you wanted to keep it private. I told suleiman because I thought they'd be happy and encouraged in the battle. Assuming hatice's character I think most of the people will agree that if hurrem reacted that way Hatice would have forgave her. But instead of being understanding she taunted hatice about Ibrahim having a Harem. I mean Hatice ain't no concubine like Hurrem or Mahidevran. She knows that very well and she taunted Hatice on purpose. Then hatice lost her temper and insulted Hurrem. And now Hurrem thinks Hatice is her enemy. Lol. I'm not saying Hurrem was always evil. I agree that People have been rude to her. But if Mahidevran or gulfem was in Hurrem's place here. They would've apologised or told Hatice why they did it. Just so that situation doesn't get serious. 0:26 look how Hurrem wanted to have a walk with Hatice and Valide acted completely normal, like she is happy that Hurrem is concerned about Hatice. Many times members in the royal family and also Ibrahim tried to make peace with her and treated her like a family member. But she somehow crossed her limit and ruined it. Because she from the beginning wanted everything to make about her. She always wanted to be the main character. Imma give some examples like when she saw Valide , she acted like she wanted to rule the harem, acted arrogantly many times in Front of her. When she saw suleiman made a necklace for Hatice for her wedding. She wanted that. When she heard Ibrahim was suleiman's best friend , his comrade. She wanted to replace Ibrahim. Got jealous of him. But if she was a bit mature and kind she would think like oh suleiman loves these people. I will be friendly to them. I will try to win their hearts. I will love them too. If she was like this from the beginning the whole family wouldn't protect and support Mahidevran always. But they would have stand for Hurrem too. They would've supported Hurrem's children too. It's not everyone loved Mahidevran very much that's why they supported her. Well it's partially true. But Hurrem's behaviours , her trying to harm everyone made them choose mahidevran's side. (And also later mustafa showed qualities that a sultan should have . So yeah he gained supporters naturally bcz he won people's hearts on his own capabilities and Hurrem despite being so powerful, a legal wife of sultan and the ruler if harem, she had to fight soo hard to gain supporters for her sons. She had to threaten people with their lives, she had to offer them higher positions in court , had to illegally kill many people. But those supports and helps Mustafa and Mahidevran gained without doing any of these . Isn't that a redeeming quality???). But all Hurrem's behaviours and actions from the beginning was like SULEIMAN WILL ONLY LOVE ME AND MY CHILDREN IN THE WORLD. NO ONE ELSE. There were things she did and everyone knew about it but didn't tell suleiman about it. Bcz they didn't want to cause a scene. Even when they had proofs. Hurrem never remembered these things. It wasn't that she was evil. Cause no one was evil in the beginning. It was her immaturity that made her gain so many enemies. And this incident with Hatice is just a small example. There are many incidents like this where Hurrem intentionally or unintentionally messed things up. And never tried to understand what was her mistake and never admitted that she was wrong. Everyone from the moment she arrived in the palace they told her to behave properly, to be calm, to be respectful to certain people. Nigar , Sumbul , Daye , her friend , Ibrahim, Valide, Hatice everyone at least once told her to behave properly and not to interfere in the things that aren't related to her. Not to cause troubles. But she NEVER LISTENED only because of her ego and arrogance. No wonder why most of the members in royal family hated Hurrem. Her becoming a legal wife of suleiman and becoming the ruler of harem had nothing to do with her these behaviours. Her disrespectful behaviours didn't make her gain those. Her love for suleiman did. Her disrespectful behaviours only gained her enemies and she had to go through hardships bcz if it. It was her cruel and heartless nature that made her win in the end. Many characters died and their lives got completely ruined bcz of her. But all these things wouldn't even happen if she chose to be humble and respectful. Everyone hated her It's not only because suleiman loved her too much. Well in Manisa Suleiman loved Mahidevran very much . Did everyone hate her for that ?? No. she was loved by the whole family and respected by most of the concubines in harem. Also Ibrahim despite being just a slave Suleiman loved him a bit too much. No one hated Ibrahim because of it. However, most of the time people in palace and court they were afraid to say or do something against him . Because Suleiman will not like it. Even when Ibrahim wasn't that powerful.𝗗𝗘𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗. 𝗔𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗗 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗧 𝗔𝗟𝗟 , 𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥
In Hurrem's case , whatever the hate she gets her own behaviours played a part in it. Instead of trying to be understanding and acting like a family member she always acted like she's ready to fight. Always ready to take unnecessary revenge from everyone. she always had chances to make things better but she made things worse . And then played the victim. 🤡
