I love how nobody is talking about the fact that this is literally a story about a boy slowly wasting away until he dies of starvation because he didn't want to eat soup
Hi Ryan, your words really motivate me to keep up with this little initiative, thank you very much! As soon as I come back from my winter holidays I'll continue uploading more stories. Cheers!
@@Fabulaudit i will keep pressing on with CI from you and dreaming. Also I want to just listen for now and become conversation. Do you think i will need grammer books along the way?
This is exactly the way of learning a language, because it is really what will happen : you will try to understand what the others are telling you in their native languages
These videos are great. Finally found something that doesn’t make me feel lost. Most videos are so hard to understand it’s a constant reminder that you don’t understand the language but this one made me forget I was learning a new language. I was able to learn new words and keep up with the story.
Well put- too many other videos pretend to "teach a language easily or fast" but they are very confusing and hard to follow. The acting in this video really helps to see the word's meaning and is engaging and will stick in the mind for a long time
First off I love his acting 😂😂 BUT ALSO other than him teaching Spanish is no one gonna talk about the story?!! I literally gasped when I found out Casper died 😭
Thank you very much. I watch the same story over and over again until I can repeat the story by heart in Spanish. This is what sets you and Kathrin Shechtman (German) apart from others. You also write the words, so that we can associate the sound and meaning to the words. Others only show pictures, they do not write down the words. Keep it up, you are great at it.
Thanks for your kind words Gary, I totally agree with what you say about Kathrin, my biggest motivation to begin with this humble project. Glad you liked it!
What a great way to learn Spanish! Not only I learned the whole story. But also I totally memorized the new vocabularies. Now every time I say fuerte, the first thing in my mind is the strong arm that you were drawing. Awesome! Keep it coming please!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I’ve been trying to find REAL beginner comprehensible input videos but there’s not that many. The ones I do find seem more like intermediate Spanish and it can get frustrating. I actually understood all but maybe 2-3 words and am excited to keep watching! ☺️
drop by to see how this method works in another language. I'm currently using this method for acquiring Thai language. It takes time, but this is definitely the best and funniest way to learn a new language.
I've searched a lot spanish materials guided by comprehensible input before I finnaly found your videos. The drawing and your acting are very interesting even to an adult like me. Thank you for making this series. ❤
I found your channel through a UA-cam search. I am starting out with Spanish as a second language. This video helps me, and I will add to my saved list to return for the other stories. Thanks!
Hola amigo!
Thanks a lot, I have loved dreaming in Spanish, but even the guy who runs it Pablo, recommends that you hear other peoples voices, and watch other videos sometimes, I'm going to be putting on your videos every now and then!
I speak English, but way back in college, 1987, I took French, and at that time a video immersion course was just released. It was, ALL in french, but with actors LIVING the language. It's called "French in Action" and you can find the videos online still. It's basically compréhensible input, but not quite as easy as this. Anyway, I loved that course, and about four years ago, I really started to try to learn French. I used French in Action, and a lady from Paris, here on UA-cam named Alice Ayel. She's great. You teach exactly like her, and as I think back, she used the same story as you did here. I think the original book of stories for "acquiring" learning, whatever you choose to call it was written by a Spanish person, and Alice adapted then to French, because she also speaks and teaches Spanish. I've put so much time into French, I can't just stop and change to Spanish, nor would I ever do that. I'll continue with French until I die, but I'm going to try to learn Spanish too, because I could ACTUALLY USE it. French, although I know a lot, I'll never use. Nobody here in Michigan, USA, where i live speaks French. I play video games and tere are a lot of Spanish speakers. In fact, I teamed up with a guy from Spain, and another gut from Romania, and they both speak Spanish, well obviously the guy from Spain does, but he doesn't know much English, so I'd like to learn enough to basically communicate with him. The Romanian guy speaks 4 or 5 languages, but Spanish is his second la language. Anyway, I like how you teach; you're just like Alice Ayel, and she's one of the best. Trying to learn spanish really makes me realize that I know a lot of French, more than I ever realized. When I watch these videos, French feels like English to me by comparison. There are a lot of similarities between french and spanish, obviously since they both came from latin, but theyre not the same, and i expected spanish to be just like french. I weird because I want to, and DO pronounce all these spanish words with my American french accent, lol. I'm just starting, so I'm like a baby; I can't expect instant success. Between college and my own studies with French I have at least five years into French, and I'm still not fluent, so, it takes time. I don't care if I ever become fluent, I like learning french or spanish if i stick with spanish. It's about learning another language...It really stimulates my mind. Check out Alice Ayel...You're very much like her, and she's my favorite. She's a great teacher. Two languages will be confusing, so I don't know if I'll stick with spanish, but I'll try. Starting all over again is frustrating, I must say that. Gracias por los vídeos. Merci pour les vidéos. ( See now that is very similar to French but it isn't always like that, and that just confuses me). Quoi qu'il en soit, merci pour les vidéos en espagnol.
Very very nice presentation and learning concept- makes it way easier to associate words with graphics for long term remembering. I wish I had had this in high school when trying to learn spanish and failing. I only remember a few words because the Spanish teacher would show us like holding up his left hand for izqiuerdo, or showing us a house for casa. Most words he tried to teach were just the English word and Spanish, with no examples, so I didn't retain them well at all. Parents would do well to teach their kids with your method at a young age. Well done lessons!
Thank you so much! This is seriously the best way to teach a language. It's also really fun to watch. Keep up the good work. Lots of love from Turkey! 💗
Great, I loved it, especially how really good you're with coming up with contextual info so quickly. Do you have some prior experience doing this kind of tutoring?
Thank you very much Katya! I've read lots of books and articles about this particular methodology of language learning, and I've always been into teaching in some way or another. I have also seen countless videos of others applying similar techniques in other languages. However, these are my first steps on this kind of tutoring. Glad you liked it, keep in touch to see more content!
This is high value content brother. There is a similar channel called, Comprehensible Japanese. She uses separate cameras for the board and for herself. I think you can adopt her setup to make story telling smoother and more effective. Please do take a look. With your current setup you have to turn your back to the camera quite a few times.
Hi, thanks for your kind words. I'll take a look at Comprehensible Japanese and what she's doing. I thought about the two cameras setup, but for the moment, I'm a bit tight on budget, space and time. I just find it easier to use the board, but i'll definitively take it in account. Thanks for your feedback!
Great lesson! I've been learning English for some years. So, I achieve a good level, and then I decided It was time to learn a new language. At first, I thought in French, however, analyzing the circumstances: I'm Brazilian, consequently, it's much easier to find a Spanish speaker than a French speaker to practice here. And also, Spanish sounds more similar to Portuguese, I decided to learn Spanish. Luckily, I discovered your channel. Thanks for this amazing content. Keep uploading, this is going to be huge someday.
