- Quilter and modified 5e3
tube vs analog SS
Plexi-Kush into:
Quilter Superblock US (65' here)
Modifoed 5e3 Tweed Deluxe
both into Celestion G12H30 anniversary
5e3 left yellow light
Quilter right green light
I mumble in 80 degrees and up
I felt amp B had a fuller and more complex sound. Hard to explain :D I was hoping B was the Quilter, as I have one myself, but I thought A sounded more familiar...
Amp A sounded smoother and less noise to me
I might have fooled ya. Check description
Got me, and I have the 5e3 with the 75 Creamback. Dang... more nights on the couch.
And then I went back and randomly picked a spot in the video and still got fooled again... and again.
Wow, was absolutely sure which one was which, turns out I was wrong! That quilter sounds fantastic, real close to getting one mainly for ease of use traveling to jams and friends houses. How is the volume? Able to keep up with a (moderate) drummer?
Yeah. Celestion Creameback 75w high efficiency speaker, LOUD!
Nice playing and sounds great! Very interested in the Quilter.
I already love the Talisman-an absolute must on my meager board.
Very nice of you. I use the SuperB US everyday at 12V at home. It does not disappoint at gigs either.
Nice Paul, thanks I'm curious about grabbing one of these quilters for a simple small rig. Nothing will beat the beautiful amp you built me but this little quilter sounds great for such a small convenient pice of gear.
Hey Rus, yeah. Not as 3D as tubes. But the best non tube amp Ive played. Analog too. as Tim Learch says " does it make me smile every time i turn it on? Yep"
sold - getting one. just need a bigger board.
Always ;)
Impressive
Thanks!
