BTS Episode 2 - The Winch (electric winch)

In this behind the scenes episode our rider Petja tells about our electric winch. An idea to build electric winch came from Petja and he sent an email to ABB. Things worked and ABB sent us ACS355 frequency converter and an electric motor. Few months later the winch was ready to streets. It's pretty much the same they use for wakeboarding but we use it for skiing. Big thanks to ABB and Lauri Luoma!

That thing is Great. Was thinking of doing something but using a electric bike Hub motor and make my own spool it would be more compact and muck more efficient you could also use little lipo batteries.

nice idea, but it is looking very heavy and big. Did you improve the winch till now?
