- Testing the Electric powered towing device, the ReWinch! It is wakeboarding anywhere. I went to the harbor to test it out and figured out some interesting techniques to anchor it down.

There are a lot affluent surfers from my home town that have all kinds of the toys that you ride, but you are the ONLY one that looks good/amazing on ALL of them.
I’m in Ohio and you have to have one of these for the Great Lakes. Necessary equipment! 🤙🏼

Hey that was cool, but would have been nice to see the start sequence. I have no concept of how you go from standing on the beach, getting on the board, getting feet into straps, tensioning winch, accelerating to speed....all in one fluid motion(?).
I’ve also got a Rewinch that I use in the surf down the beach. That sand anchor is interesting but what keeps it stable & stops it tipping over or rotating around? Sure the sand anchor stops it from getting pulled into the water but doesn’t keep it stable due to one fixing point. I find sand augers much better & use three one each side & one at the back then a strap over the top & one out the back. Doesn’t move an inch, I’m also in the process of building a sand cage off the ground that will rotate so you can just drop the winch into it then it will rotate for left or right runs.
I haven’t had any problems with it falling over. I do digger small trench and put a towel in it so it does have sidewalls to lean against.

I’m a grandma who’s never touched a surf board! But I’d fly over just to set on the beach with my hubby and watch. I love this young man’s enthusiasm!

As a snowboarder I was hoping to see some rock jibs but could get ugly for the board and yourself if you catch an edge. Looks like fun though

How many runs did you get on this session? The claim is 20+, but as you did not get to ride foil, it does not seem like it?
He might not have gotten 20 he was writing it very fast. But I’ve seen other people get more than 20 going about 18 to 21 mph.

Kai we have the rewinch here on maui as well. Should get together for double pulls. I’ve got the bigger battery’s too for hours of pulls. Ask Felipe about it.
