Maestro Sheiko: As this is "light classical" music (or as the British say, "light music"), I will say that addition of the sound effects & "wordless chorus" (during the second minute of this piece) were welcome. If it were Beethoven, Bach or Brahms, I would not like the changes but Leroy Anderson's works of this sort were "fun" music and a minor change to the arrangement is ok with me. (I listened to a 1959 recording of Fiddle Faddle conducted by Mr. Anderson himself and I did not hear the sound effects or "wordless chorus" in that version. Nor did I hear it in the 1948 version by Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops.)
The clip-clops and the triangle, as well as the singing, are unique to this arrangement. But Anderson’s music has always been rearranged to the ensemble’s liking (including sometimes by Anderson himself when he was alive…he was no purist).
I'd agree about the tempo being right. However, the addition of the sound effects during the Pizzacato and the Chorus is wrong. This is about "Fiddle" and these additions compete. I've only heard these additions done by European Orchestras. Even when Leroy Anderson conducted this, he did not have these things.
@@RayPointerChannel Agree; this performance is not 100% faithful to Leroy Anderson's composition but nonetheless it's entertaining, watching the musicians and the conductor having a good time. Sadly with what's going on today, this may be the "good old days" for the Ukraine.
For some arcane reason musicians take a "lighthearted" approach to the works of Leroy Anderson. While risking being a killjoy I must insist on an atmosphere of professional decorum. Hear! Hear!
Bravo, I really enjoyed it very much!

Leroy Anderson would be proud of this.

@@RayPointerChannelBut Anderson himself was always reorchestrating his pieces to suit the moment, so I don’t think he would be bothered.
