    This game in the long term after 82 games r played: “not good, not bad, just kinda there”
    It’ll be pretty irrelevant by the end of the season idc about the loss i care about the effort level which just wasn’t there
    End score is ugly bc of 2 late goals including an empty netter but it really wasn’t terrible just kinda meh we didnt work hard and it burned us. Not the end of the world were 5-1-0 after our last 6 but definitely gotta work on ur effort and not get complacent after putting together a few wins in a row. A lot to work on get it back against Philly on Wednesday boys go buds

      Pretty sure any smart Leafs fan is right with you there.
      If they worked hard for 60 minutes and still lost 5-1, yeah that'd suck, but we'd chalk it up to just being outplayed.
      But when they don't fucking try you start to ask if they don't give a fuck, why should I?

    • @alzallas2302
      @alzallas2302 3 роки тому

      @@Ryuzakku Once in a while a team will have a bad game. It is a long 82 game season and they can't win every night. But as long as the Leafs reground and understand that a game is a full 60 minutes, that's what matters. After a 5 game win streak a loss was bound to happen. I would rather see consistency. Win 2 games, then lose 1. A team can get cocky after a long win streak and can quickly fall into a slump.

  • @sparkyshore3543

    For once, I can understand the goal counting. The “kick” (if it was a kick) wasn’t what put the puck in the net, it then went off of Danault’s other skate as he was sliding on his butt across the crease. And that’s legal.

    • @Vaxilion
      @Vaxilion 3 роки тому +5

      That's the same thing that I thought. Initial contact was definitely a kick, but said kick was then saved. The rebound then bounced between Cambell and Danault's feet and into the net. Perfectly legal goal in my eyes. If the initial one went in, then that's easily no goal. But that's not what happened.

      Yeah, they went into it in detail on the Kings telecast. (Tourist on a drive-by here, sorry.) Jack saving the kick resets the clock, as it were, and the goal itself is just pure dumb luck, off Danault's skate and Campbell's pad and in.
      That said, the refs did rule the kick a no-kick, which is wrong. But irrelevant.

  • @KowashiHitori
    @KowashiHitori 3 роки тому +2

    When I saw the kick goal the thing that to me made it legit is that yes the initial part was a kick, but if you watch all the angles that kicked puck actually goes off Soup's pad and back toward him then as he's going across the front of the crease his other foot dragged the puck back toward the net. At that point he didn't even know where the puck was so no way was that part a purposeful kicking motion.

    I don’t know if the Canadian broadcast didn’t show, but the Kings broadcast used an angle that showed yes Danault kicked the puck, that then hit Campbell and bounced back into the falling Danault, and that’s when the puck was propelled into the net, it was no distinct kicking motion because it wasn’t the initial kick that scored the goal.

    On the kicking motion goal, that wouldn't have mattered, right? Because it hit Jack Campbell, then bounced off another player (tough to tell which one), and then went in.
    Thus, it's not just a shot anymore, it''d be considered a deflection and/or a rebound chance. So the kicking motion is totally irrelevant, right? I thought they explained that as the rule.

    • @sloney10
      @sloney10 3 роки тому

      I'm not sure of the rule, but if that were the rule, I'd have to disagree with it. Because the reason the puck has a chance of going in is the kick, pucks not going anywhere without it. If you compare to another illegal scoring attempt, like throwing the puck, it sounds worse but is the same amount of illegal. Imagine someone throwing the puck and it deflects off the goalie and/or a stick and goes in, that doesn't look/feel right for hockey. Same for a kick.

    • @patrickkasper3573
      @patrickkasper3573 3 роки тому

      @@sloney10 it is a rule, I remember being an Oilers fan, in the 06 playoffs the puck was clearly kicked from behind the net, but because it went off the back of Roloson before entering the net, the kick was taken off the table. Weird rule honestly.

    How does Toronto go from beating Boston kinda easily to playing like they played against LA

      Lack of consistency and ability to fight through adversity. This is why I think part or all of the core has to go; this is a problem they can't fix. If they could, they would have won 2-3 cups already.

    This new age pulling the keeper with 5ish minutes left is MADDENING! Never worked, doesn't work and basically just not practical. Missing the playoffs due to GOAL DIFFERENTIAL would be a tragedy when looking back when were at the Finish Line. 8th place teams have won the cup before and will again. Thank ya and love ya Steve.

      COLvCBJ last Wednesday would disagree with you on that. Sure, Columbus won in OT, but Colorado erased a two goal deficit by pulling the goalie at 5 minutes left.

    im honestly not too worried about woll in the net tbh, goalies are voodoo, and there are countless examples of goalies being extremley mediocre in the minors but then become beasts when playing in front of nhl calibre defence. Also, being a goalie myself, ive noticed that i like harder, faster releases compared to some lower quality shots, this could explain why some goalie just have a much better time when coming up to the nhl compared to being in the minors.

    Mr Dangle... it wasn't 1 kick at the puck, it was 2. That's right, two pokes at the same puck!!!!

    • @jeffsmith2000
      @jeffsmith2000 3 роки тому

      I believe there is a 3rd, unseen "kick" where Danault sweeps his leg under Campbell's body, unseen, but ultimately it's this action the propels the puck into the net. If they had a cam angle, it gets called back, hence the extended review.

    I just wanted to write and say a few things. First, I listened to the Westwood interview, and I did not think it would trigger me but there were things the Mother said in describing what happened and I did not expect to hear what I heard and....OMG, I am shaking...all these thoughts...I went to a party, I was on vacation. I asked if they could give me the score of the WJC Russia/USA game. My (at that time) best friend knew I was a=the hugest hockey fan she had ever met and Russia fan. I dare not ask them to put the game on tv. My friend liked hockey and thought it was really cool how much I loved hockey and how much I knew about Russian hockey. In a couple of hours I asked if they could give me an update (I did not have a cell phone) they refused to check and started calling me a "commie" I started to feel strange, they did something to the soda I was drinking and their comments got worse and my friend brought up how I was molested by my Uncles when I was little and they proc,....they raped me at gunpoint for a day and a half playing Russian roulette on me saying I should like the game cause it's Russian and calling me a commie. This was at the beginning of my 13 day vacation, I had to stay out there for like 10 more days. I could not tell anyone what happened and I was injured, not to mention what kept repeating in my head. I got home from vacation and when I hit my front door my Dad yelled at me to get inside it was cold. I walked in to find my Dad in congestive heart failure. I could not believe it, I knew what it was because that's how my 21 yr old fiance died. I knew what I was looking at...my Dad died the day Trump went into office Jan 20, 2017. Then worked found out. OMG, "we have a tranny working for us?" They did not care I was raped, I was (am) transgender we can't have that so after 17 years they slowly forced me out. I lost everything...my Dad (who I was sole caregiver for since the day my Mom died in 1989) lost my great career and I lost me. I wanted to say I am very sorry, you may ask yourself or get annoyed when I write under a vidieo because I tend to write a lot. It is because I have no one to talk to about anything. I lost everyone I was friends with. A month after my Dad died..I wanted to fill the house up with something, probably the best Christmas present I got and that was in 1983 they had bought a table hockey game, it was sooo awesome it had all the 21 NHL teams. Well I got the Stiga hockey table game, it is so awesome looking and I have a lot of teams. I even found the Russian National team in their current uniforms..but it just sits there, no one to play with, I practice a lot though. Life is pr.....I am sorry for writing those "books" underneath videos, at times a few were angry....I am sorry but that is why, I have been abandoned, I don't even have a therapist anymore I have no one to talk to. So I am sorry for writing so much, please forgive me. I love your puppy he is sooo cute. I wish I had a puppy or kitty cat...oh that would help me so much. I am writing the cause I need to write I am getting things in my head and I don't want to try and hurt msyelf again but I cant stop it. but I have to stop cause its too blurry to write cause of the e tears I am sorry please forgive me
