Thanks for the info... another thing I learned in a machine class was the Towa Bobbin Case Tension Gauge is absolutely crucial!!! It has changed my sitdown quilting machine life!
earlier this year I bought the Towa Gauge, wish I had known about the bobbin then. Will have to check it out.
Thanks for the info. I use a welder’s rubber bulb with a brass nozzle to blow out lint from the bobbin case and bobbin area. Works wonderfully and I don’t have to worry about aerosol propellant. Dianna suggested I keep an extra bobbin case in my longarm toolbox, so I bought one. Sure enough, one midnight when I was working on a rush order, I dropped my bobbin case. It hit my ceramic tile floor, bounced, rolled a mile, and when I put it back in the machine my tension had gone bananas. It had been mashed out of round by the impact.
Thank goodness I had a spare to pop in right then.

Thanks! We noticed we forgot to mention the Glide thread, so we added it to our live this morning. Basically if you use Magna Glide or Magna Quilt prewound bobbins you will want to have a bobbin case that doesn't have a backlash spring in it. The magnet in these prewounds holds to the bobbin as it spins, so if there is a backlash spring in the case, it will not be able to hold to the inside of the case like it needs to, so it can work correct.
Is there/are there any bobbin tips for drop-in bobbin cases? Like ones you would find in an embroidery machine?
That's a good question. We haven't used that type of machine, so we don't have the correct answer on that one. Try reaching out to the maker of the machine, they should have videos or a manual to help you. Sorry:)

Does the Towa bobbin case work in all longarms. I have a Handiquilter?
Check with Handiquilter to be sure! I think it does, but we need to do more research on the brands and what they use as a Bobbin Case.
Will this work on the Inova? Can I use the bobbin winder from Inova to fill the bobbins (the bobbins were red).
It will work on some older Classic ones, but if it has the yellow sticker inside by the hook these will not work. Yes you can use the Innova bobbin winder on all M size bobbins.
Can you use towa bobbin cases in a Q’nique 15r long arm machine
Sharon if you use M size and its just a normal case, you should be okay. However, we do suggest you talk to the place you got the machine from to make sure they don't take a special case you can only get from them. Some machines have their own case.

Will this bobbin case fit in a KingQuilter Elite 3 longarm?
It is a M size case, but I would check with your retail location to make sure you machine doesn't use a special case. Some do, some don't.
