      @James Mcletchie Lol who says they cant? This is a slow and tactical war, they are trying to capture Ukraine not destroy it. You're probably trying to compare this to WW2, this is no blitzkrieg where you would just bomb cities flat until they surrender. And also, don't fall for the propaganda of the West, Russia is doing well and Ukraine's losses are huge.

My grandfather looked for him a lot but never found him and went home without finding him. she always cried when talking about him. The Soviet Union contributed the most during World War II, sacrificing approximately 27 million people. The Battle of Stalingrad was the most brutal battle of the war, and it is also known as one of the bloodiest in modern history, dubbed the "Red Verdun." It marked a turning point on the Eastern Front of World War II. The battle lasted 199 days, with both sides suffering over two million casualties. A German officer who participated in the Battle of Stalingrad wrote in his diary: "Stalingrad is no longer a city; it is a charnel house... The streets here are no longer measured in meters, but in bodies." Before the battle, Stalingrad had a population of 800,000; by the end, only 8,000 residents survived. On average, nine people died every second. This is a bloody part of history that should not be forgotten or misrepresented.

    • @ibbemenim775
      @ibbemenim775 4 місяці тому

      The germans was the absolute boss, the Soviets was no boss, but they were lucky during Operation Barbarossa for the ruin of Stalingrad which the Luftwaffe caused, which gave them the opportunity to make the battle of stalingrad to a guerilla battle for example like in Vietnam and the present war in Gaza. And most of all, the soviets were Lucky for the russian winter which was - 42 degrees that killied most germa soldiers who had summer clothes and the winter slowed the german tanks. And they were lucky that Russia was so large, it would take years to conquer whole of russia if the soviets spread through Siberia and the rest of the soviet union in rebellion against Nazi Germany. The soviets had bad equippment, they didn't have the best weapons, their tanks was ok, T-34 was good but not close to the greatness of the tiger tank, their mgs was not so good compared to germany and USA, but at the end what they had was hope and more than 34 million soldiers, while the germans had 10 m - 15 m soldiers. In my oponion the allies wouldn't have survived against germany if operation Barbarossa didn't happen, Hitler was a fool to attack Stalin so early, but that war also saved Europe, if Operation Barbarossa the germans would never have lost the numbers of soldiers and tanks they lost in the Operation and they wouldn't be in a serious situation as they were in 1943 - 1945
