Homelab people like myself would be interested in more UPS reviews. Thank you especially for testing idle and standby wattage, as these are almost never stated in product marketing specifications. Idle and standby wattage to me is part of the cost of using a product over its lifetime. My shortcut numbers for this: 8760 hours in a year. Constant 1 Watt usage = 8.76 kWh per year. If a warranty is 2 years, then I factor in what this 11W of constant idle/standby usage is going to cost me from my electricity provider, which is 192.72 kWh at todays current price. If I expect to get 4 years of actual use, then I double that cost to get the minimum lifetime cost. Where I live, this 4 years idle usage of 385.44 kWh currently costs (including taxes) AUD $92.50 or USD $66.05 or EUR €58.51 😲
Yes, I'd like to see more ups reviews, if u could. And yes, I dont believe cheap ups are good, unfortunately, at least for the watts they advertise. Maybe a 480w ups is good enough for 300w builds, not 1 watt more. In my opinion, at least (if I am wrong, plz feel free, to correct me). And yes, I enjoyed the vid, as always! 💯
@@HardwareBusters The thing is that, unfortunately, other than few well known and expensive brands, there a lot out there, with various names from relatively unknown companies, that nobody knows for real how good or bad they really are, what parts they use and where they obtain them from, or if the specs they claim are real or not etc. i seriously doubt these companies would ever send a UPS for you to test. Out of all PC peripherals, a UPS is by far the less regulated, or this is the feeling i get anyway.
UPS reviews - this is very interesting and not explored much. I have not had too many failures with them but as they are supposed to be reliable this would be good to know. Cheers and thanks for the good work

Aris: *removes battery from sealed container (AKA UPS) Battery: "Do Not Charge In Sealed Container" 😬 I know it's a budget unit, but if you're not going to include surge protection to save costs, shouldn't you at least include a cooling fan and decent heatsink? Another great, in-depth review. I feel like this unit would be a risky purchase and you'd be better off spending more $$$ on a potentially more reliable unit.
Does cybenetics rate UPS’s? I would love to buy a UPS, but I really don’t have a practical need for it. Power is pretty good where I am from and have had 2 power outages in the 15 years I lived here, but I just got a 3090 and eventually want to have my computer hooked up to a UPS with 1400 VA (~800 watts) rating. I do have a 2021 corsair 1000 watt rmx psu, so It would have to be a good quality ups as I don’t want to feed worse power to my psu than it can get without a budget UPS. So I would love if I could look for UPS at newegg and amazon then check cybenetics and see if its a good unit. Thanks so much and great video!
RTX3090 ?? well done , but let me say this : *Don't* cheap-out on the UPS , otherwise don't buy it at all and just use only a surge protection. --P.S. On my own PC ,as well as my brother's PC ,i'm using for many years now( *more than 5years* ) the APC "SMART" line of UPSs. *APC SMART SMT1000i* ( *700watt* ) for my brother / *APC SMART SMT750i* ( *500watt* ) for myself i'm more than happy with those 2 models ,so i can definately recommend the APC SMART SMT line of UPS , although you said you seek an 800watt unit while my brother's is up to 700watt , but if you don't overclock your CPU/GPU and have everything at stock , then i believe 700watt is enough. There are bigger than 700watt models but i think (not sure though) that the end-user can't replace the batteries himself/herself on the contrary to the up-to 700watt models .As i said though , i'm not 100% sure what i'm saying is accurate , you'll have to search it a little or send a message to APC.
@@Sitharii I mean I literally never have had any issues with power in my area. No brown outs in the 15 years I’ve lived here. Power has only gone out twice in that same 15 years and we are in New England where we get snow storms. When the power did go out those two times it was restored within an hour both times. The town I live in actually has its own municipal power service so you don’t need national grid or anything its all handled on a municipal level. So a ups isn;t something I think I need tbh, just more of a nice to have.
@@BeatsbyVegas i see . In that case it's ... much trouble for nothing !! Statistically you need it once every 7,5years . To be fair... UPSes are like data backups... you don't need them...until you do, and cry because you did not have one when an ''unexpected event" happens.
06:26 : NO SURGE PROTECTION ??? What kind of a UPS is this ? Shame for the PowerWalker brand ,since it's a company with years of presense in the UPS market.

Yes, we absolutely need more UPS reviews like this one.
It is tough to find any UPS products since almost nobody sends review samples, so I have to buy most of them.

I don't think I've ever seen a UPS review from the most popular tech channels, so this is interesting and very informative. Thank you!
I would love to see more UPS reviews! Your video taught me a lot about what I should be looking for in a UPS! Thank you!

Can you do a review of APC Back-UPS Pro BR1500G? I myself am using it but I want an opinion from your guys!
The 2200 was decent: ua-cam.com/video/KW0-JmCcOzQ/v-deo.html
@@HardwareBusters Yeah but its not available in my country and only the 1500G is the best possible UPS that is in the market for some reason.

Most cheapo UPS don't have surge protection, unfortunately.
