Summary for those of us who wont be able to follow without writing it down: Custom Moisturizer + Foundation Blend: Mix your favorite moisturizer with a foundation that perfectly matches your skin tone. This creates a skincare product that provides hydration and a seamless skin match. Long-Lasting Concealer for Under-Eye Darkness: Combine an eyeshadow primer, a color corrector, and a concealer. This mixture lasts all day without needing powder. Perfect Blush: Blend your favorite lip pencil with cream bronzer. Apply the mixture to your cheeks for a blush shade that complements your skin. Perfect Contour: Mix your cream bronzer with a blue pencil. Tap the mixture onto your skin with your fingers to create a contour shade tailored for you. Though I completely agree that skincare or skin prep is the best tip for a good makeup base, this video is about different useful makeup hacks which means that these are usually simple and clever tips or techniques for accomplishing some familiar tasks more easily and efficiently. This vid shares unusual but helpful tips for a good makeup base. Doing skincare to prep the skin is highly recommended but, this is a common knowledge for most people already. Just my 2cents ☺
I would love to see this! But I think the key is lightweight products and setting with a powder (at least that’s what works best when I do makeup on my momma ❤)
all these tips on this video would work for mature skin beautifully, as long as you set with a little bit (and I do mean a LITTLE bit) of setting powder and/or setting spray.
Exactly..the finishing totally different, and real skin not too smooth, but doesn't mean not pretty, still pretty just the makeup revealed not smooth like someone have a flawless skin
Instead of buying multiple products and having to mix them, you can get a few single products that do everything. Buy a foundation that is hydrating, so you don't need primer. Get a long-wearing concealer with good coverage. Get a cream blusher that leans tan so you skip bronzer and contour. Apply a tinted lipgloss and you don't need balm or pencil. Nobody needs a blue pencil to contour anyway. Who has time to mix all tht junk?
It's not the same tho. For example, a good coverage concealer still doesn't give the same result as a good concealer+ a color corrector. There's a different between choosing a concealer that's close to your skin shade and mixing in a corrector, because the amount of shades that are available and the number of people's shades in one country alone are incomparable. I don't think that this video is aiming for a quick makeup but this is getting long so I'm gonna stop here.
Navy blue or Prussian blue for very dark beauties. Navy is deep neutral blue- Prussian blue has a more green tint for cool-er dark or to cancel out orange tones
These hacks mostly work because most of them either sheer out the formula or change the color, like mixing blue into the bronzer making it less harsh. It would work for olive skin very well too.
Well, blue works on cool or muted/desaturated olive skin. For warm bright olive toned girls like myself, that probably wouldn’t achieve the desired effect.
I tried doing the undereye concealer hack. I mix a darker yellow shade of concealer with an eye primer to color correct and put a thin layer of concealer on top of it with a blending brush and then set it with powder using a puff and goodness it stays the whole day!!
So this is the thing that most ppl don’t talk about enough: most of us have different shades and undertones on our face so it depends on what you want to match to. Most people will say match to your neck, but you can match with your forehead, your cheeks, or your chin. I personally can’t figure out what works best so I just found something that’s an average of all 4
I gave up! For quite a while now I've just been using a primer to blur a little and fill in pores, maybe slightly tinted sometimes, maybe a bit of concealer under the eyes etc if needed, then just light powder to set it. I can't stand the feel of foundations anymore. And the time involved. Plus i sweat in the summer so my routine now fits all seasons better and doesn't feel heavy.
I don't know why even use a foundation if your skin is healthy and good? Isn't the point of it to correct skin pigmentation etc? Seems like unnecessary clogging of pores imo.
@@Ilive_420 sometimes it’s just to even out your skin tone bc you have different tones in your face, but I wouldn’t know bc I have pretty imperfect skin 😅

Thank you X 1000000000 infinity!!! I have been a student of business online for the past 2.5 years I have one semester left, I am a totally online work from home student. I have totally forgot how to do any makeup and this really helps for my budget and is easy…your awesome 👏
My great-grandma always used her lipstick as rouge as well. She said it had been the norm since the 20s (she old me when i was about 5). I still do it because it looks more put together-unless i am wearing black or blue lipstick😂
Hola! Can you please show us how to obtain these same results with more affordable/drugstore skin care products. I currently do not have “Clarins” budget but still strive to acquire great looking skin in my 50’s. Gracias y saludos!💛💙❤️
Step one is to be young, have thick plump, flawless skin with lots of babyfat and no pores. Actually, no additional steps are even needed after step one. 🤣 Side note, I really do miss having facial fat. Mine all left at 30.
YESSS - I ❤this!! Mixing eyeshadow primer w/corrector has been a go-to hack since the 1st time I ever tried eyeshadow primer (back in 2010-ish). I use eyeshadow primer for A LOT of things bcz it’s different from a reg. face primer. It’s great for blurring pores, scars - whether mixed w/foundation/concealer or not)! I’m so here for his hacks!!
My best make up tip which I have received most compliments from is, To wear make up, but for main reason cover up in perfections and to let what’s good stay natural or showing though and then slitly enhance you’re own best traits. God bless❤
Honestly I always mix in moisturizer… I don’t see many do it and I put primer on my lower lash line and mix it as well because the la girl one is cheaper and really soft texture
The right moisturiser can help a bit with oil skin depending on what the cause of the extra oil is. But foundation is always going to sit on top of open oily pores creating dirt and bacteria in the oil in the pore and make more pimples. The only way to stop that is no foundation. Any foundation is going to make more pimples but you can reduce how many pimples by things like less foundation so the thinner and lighter the application of foundation the less dirt and bacteria to form in the pores. Also try to limit how long you have foundation on. And don't compensate for that by extra washing the face. Over washing the face strip's the oils which encourages more oil to be produced.
The blue is just to make the tone cool instead of warm, which is what a contour is supposed to be as opposed to a warm bronzer. I would imagine it would work on any skin tones that use contour.
Using blue as a contour shade or at least, as a way to deepen a blush/Foundation combination is a great idea! Makes sense to me. I’ll be interested to try it. Darker colors for contour just look like brown stripes on the face.
Well, it is better to focus on helping your skin rather than finding makeup to cover it up. So yes, actually, the best hack is to have the best skin possible first.
Lip and eye product are tested differently and have different standards, basically if it not made for you lips don’t use it on them, same for eyes, if it’s not made for eyes don’t use it on eyes.
This only works on people with already great skin and normal skin type. Beautiful ❤ I have one request. Could you show how to do a winged eyeliner for someone that has hooded AND down turned eyes. I can’t find anything like that. It’s always hooded or down turned eyes:(
I made my own lip balm. I took some Aquaphor, jojoba oil, and scrapings from a blush. I melted them down to make it easier to mix and apply it with a brush. I need the oil because Aquaphor alone doesn’t work for me

But then a few days later they are using the same product from a different company.. why are people upset because this girl has pretty skin..

Now tell us how to "just get a foundation that matches our face exactly". I've been trying for decades.

Tell me about finding a foundation to match my skin perfectly .I haven't found one in 20 yrs.
Honestly, I mix like 3 or 4 different ones. I think that’s the best way. My skin tone fluctuates a bit from day to day.
I never started wearing foundation because of this, they all looked orange on me. Just concealer and powder

Your skill 😍🙌
The blue pencil is such a good hack
Interesting 🤔 why does blue contour ?
