Man, what a crazy beautiful day out there. Thanks for sharing it with us! Haven't caught brook trout in years, love how aggressive they are towards Rapalas.
I feel most big Brooks are on the Eastern side of the state. Too much competition with the rainbows they stock at Dog Lake limits growth for Brooks is my guess. Sucks cuz I like ice fishing there lol
Another good video! 🔥 i like your setup everything looks compact and perfect not too much bulk to carry, at least from what i see. Can you go iver your gear , id like to get into the ice fishing just not sure what gear and how to start
Does anyone notice when the sun is out and the ice is making rumbling noise, the bite fall off. 3 days ago it was a great bite and today it was very warm clear. Warm wind. Ice making all kinds of noise. Very slow fishing. Moved all over
Hey Tyler I’m planning a trip to a buddy’s house next week and was wondering if Palmer Lake had safe/fishable ice and what to expect to catch there because I’ve never fished it before? Thanks for all your content, it’s great!
Nice! another great video as always! :D Hey If I want to go down to Washington ( I live in Vancouver, Canada) what lakes do you recommend for ice fishing and kokanee in the summer? ( the closer the better haha )
Any ideas on why the brook trout in this particular lake grow so well? Low competition or population density? Seems like brook trout have a tendency to overpopulate and stunt. Thanks
Love the colors on brookies! Those are some nice size brooktrout!
Greetings from Maine
Home to the largest wild brook trout population in the USA

One of my favorite lakes in Washington
Gotta love the song of ice growing!
Thanks. The brookies look good.
Ok thanks Tyler
Lookin good
I caught a few fish this week too, it must be the planetary alignment :)
Always like to see them on the sonar when your filming
I'd really love to upgrade to a sonar screen that has an HDMI port so I could seamlessly record but its about a $2000 upgrade
I've had some pretty good days at Dog Lk (White Pass) for EBTs too where they just come one after another, they just tend to be fairly small.

Heading up there tomorrow, will give you a update. Any ideas on where the perch might be and depth.
I don’t heard the last few days have been slow

Should have brought your skates!
You need to hit Priest Lake thru the ice for Macs….

I recommend driving to the Cariboo. Great ice fishing and Kokanee fishing in the summer.

Low density stocking and a highly productive lake with a lot of weed beds and flats.
Are there campsites at that lake?
No
Tyler have you fished Curlew this winter ?
I haven't. Money's been tight. Not a great time to be dependent on federal money.
Grab yourself a coffee on me.
Thank you!

Nice! I want to try ice fishing. Wish I knew lake name. I’m in Oregon.
McGinnis Lake, Colville Indian Reservation.
@ much appreciated!
Does anyone ice fish in WA? I never see people around in these vids.
Haha yeah not many actually
Keep in mind mcginnis is on the rez and just generally doesn't get a lot of pressure
Easy access places do, but most places that require a hike or roads that don’t get plowed seem to discourage most.
Is it correct to think these are naturally reproducing? I want one at least three pounds for my wall in their late fall spawning colors.....
They are not. They are stocked.
@@davidbeckenbaugh9598 there might be some natural reproduction, but pretty sure the tribe stocks them
@@spiltmilt They do an impressive job with it. Thanx.
