Here is some secrets I have learned. I am with my best friend. There is not a day I do not say I appreciate him and love him. I thank him when he does things. He talks to me about everything. We were friends for two years before we officially dated. Good relationships take time. Today people want that instant love which never lasts. He plays video games for release. It is very important for men to have space and when they need to talk you, you do not have to hear them but listen to them. My parents taught me that love is not enough, you have to be friends.

Edit: also, I wanted to say that the mega remix thing was done on Dax's song "Dear Alcohol" and just about every one of these people on this song did that song as well. So, he already knew these people from then. He even flew a few of them in yo be in this video with him.
This is an amazing remix and your reactions matched it's energy. ❤️ And Keegan is absolutely right ( I haven't disagreed with her yet 😂 beginning to consider her a virtual mom friend) ... men have never really gotten a break in their societal expectations. Many women don't realize how hard it is because they have had their own expectations open up to such a variety of acceptable paths.
I almost fell into the career minded woman mode after high school. I was told it was no longer acceptable to just be a housewife 🙃. So, I went to college. I double majored and earned my degrees... but while I was doing it I became pregnant with my first child. For the first couple years, I juggled work, school, babies ( I adopted 1 of my siblings as well)... but I always felt like everything I did was only half as good as it could be. I was doing too much, and my husband was suffering the most for it. I never had time. Time just to be with him, to support him. When I had my second child, I really had to take a step back and think about what was most important to me. What was the thing I truly wanted to give a hundred percent to?
I chose my family. I've never regretted it for a second. I wish I had figured it out sooner actually. Now, 16 years later, we have 4 kids. I homeschool (no wasted degrees here 😅) and i take care of my home. My husband works extremely hard as a mechanic and I try to never take for granted this amazing life he has given me. He loved me no matter what I chose to do... and I'm extremely lucky to have found him. We are happy in our gender roles and, I think, healthier mentally. 😊 Even if we struggle bus the bills during the holidays or birthdays 😅.

Personally, this song hits me hard, but its not becuase I need some sort of stress outlet, its the lack appreciation that makes me feel like no matter how much I sacrifice, ill never be worth more than the paycheck I provide. Everything would be worth it if I got a smille or a hug every once in awhile, or maybe just a "thank you". thats all it takes

It was this way for all of history until society went insane and now there are people who don't even know what a woman is.
I have listened to this song hundreds of times and I still can't make it though without tearing up. I lost my wife to drugs and it has been hard walking life alone.

I recently watched a video of a woman that refused to get out of the car because he took her to the Cheesecake Factory. He even had another reservation at a much more expensive restaurant, but she kept him waiting an hour past the time he said. I wanted to high five the guy when he took her home. It’s hard to find women that look beyond a man’s bank account. I’m glad that I was blessed with a real woman that thinks we are a team that works together toward a better future together. I’m glad you found one too, better hold on to her tight. A good woman is the best thing you can find aside from god.

I absolutely love this song... both versions. Makes me cry every single time. The only thing that bothers me about the song's lyrics is he says that all a man is good for is that he's a physical provider. To me, the most important thing a man (or a woman) should be "providing" inside a home is compassion, understanding and unconditional love. Great reaction, guys.

This is incredible, sadly a lot of men can’t go to their significant other due to fear of being belittled, I have a group of friends that we keep in contact on a regular basis to go to if we have an issue and all come together to solve it and I’ve been teaching my son to find the same.
A lot of men fear dying alone so they don’t want to rock the boat and loose what they think is the only chance to be in a relationship even if it’s self destructive

Not to mention if they was married he could have to be paying child support even if it doesn't leave him enough to live on because if he doesn't he goes to jail not saying he shouldn't pay for his child just the situation could easily be cause of stress in his life

Today many people find a release from stress of family and work by hunting and fishing wether by oneself or with close friend(s).
The tradition of the male as provider to family is still strong but it spills over into bonding by in past mainly fathers but many mothers also see the need for growth in youths family connection.
It is time away from today's compressed society, it pits oneself against a natural form of nature while at same time connects a closer bond to the natural.
To hunt or fish we call sport but in a sport where even if you do not score it is still a feeling of relief.

I'm sorry but no. Her take on that verse was wrong. He wasn't speaking on religion. He was saying he almost succumbed to the pressures of being a man and shot himself. But he found the strength each time to fight on and that's his definition of being a man. To take on the hardships and keep pushing forward regardless.

One final question from someone who has lived it, and is living it...what if there is no other outlet? You still have a family to provide for, but the struggle inside is so powerful, its a struggle.
