Just bought one of these and it is on the way. It will be only my 2nd Okuma. I've fished for years with Penn, Pflueger and Diawa. Penn and Pflueger have seemed to have had a decline in quality vs cost in the last few years for me. Diawa has stayed pretty consistent for me, but they cost a little more than the Okuma. The Okuma I have is an Avenger baitfeeder I bought probably 5 years ago and I have really abused it. It is pretty beat up, I don't maintain it like I should, I throw it in the back of the truck and drive the dirt roads without any protection really other than a bed topper, I lay it on rocks and in the dirt to fish for cats without a holder and and still the thing still performs like a champ. In fact, it operates like new. So I thought I would try another one when my old Pflueger Arbor blew a bearing this week. Can't wait to give a go.
Solid video. Depending on your deal with Okuma I think you should do a side by side comparison with other companies at each price point. Great stuff BassNGrass!
Good engineering is good engineering. Price doesn't necessarily dictate quality. Goes for fishing reels, cars, saxophones, guitars, and things that I have absolutely no experience with. Name brands mean absolutely nothing to me, and that's the mindset that everyone should have. Can the tool do the job well? Well, try it!
I bought one earlier this summer and I love it! I went with the 1000 and it’s great for me and I’ve taken it with me on a couple of trips where I squeezed some fishing in. It’s solid and you’re absolutely spot on with the paint job, not a scratch or chip on mine.
I just bought the C-10 and c20 for ultralight fishing. I like the handle on the C10 more than the C20 because it has a round knob. You have more control when reeling in your line.

I would like to hear feedback from what you think about it if you don't mind after using it :)

Well, that’s awesome that you’re happy with your reel :)..Okuma really does make really good stuff.. I appreciate you for watching my videos
I am a huge fan of the Helios SX spinning reels, if it's anything like it I'll pick one up in 2500 size

I really don’t know anything about their reels but their rods are awesome money
You like the ceymar a better than the ceymar c-30?
Do you think it’s better than regular Ceymar? Also how is the casting distance on the 1000 size both models?
This reel power handle or no?
Unfortunately, I'm not sure yet due to the fact that it hasn't came out yet.. I'll have to get back with you buddy
@@BASSNGRASS I hope after the official release, this reel applies a power handle like the Okuma Ceymar HD
Pake bahasa Screw In Handle aja om, hehee
I was very disappointed with the normal ceymar after using a shimano Sedona
Sedona is one class up from Ceymar. Its equivalent in the Okuma's world would be the Epixor rather than Ceymar.
