  • This video is a great example of how to design Post Tension (PT) continuous beam. It explained how jacking force are derived in order to design size of stressing tendons. At the last part of the video, the viewer will also learn on how it applies in construction until cutting of the excess tendons to complete the installation of the PT system.

    Pag binigay na po ni Designer yung Jacking Force. Kaso po sa Stressing Machine naka Mpa yung Gage. Pano po computation nung Stress sa Machine? Ano po Cross Sectional Area gagamitin? Or ano pang Konstant po ang gagamitin? Salamat

      Same principle, but for longer span you can always choose practical location of live end anchor, slab surface is possible. One of the best idea is to talk with pt manufacturer and get insights from them before doing your Fj calculation. Thanks

    Sir, ano pong compressive strength ng grout na gagamitin to fill up the flexible conduit? Ilang days po ang waiting period bago putulin ang tendons?

    Usually 4ksi ginagamit namin dyan..Hindi Basta Basta ang mag design ng post tension..need nyo ng more experience dyan..sa actual Meron napapatid na tendon during stressing madalas namin ma encounter Yan..at marami pang ibang problema..pero Meron naman solution...

      1.) During design stage.. permanent load + partial live load or (no live load at all) lang ginagamit namin..to avoid na mag crack ang finishing like tiles..dati kasi full live load kami..pumuputok ang tiles..
      2.) Take note mas Mahal ang end anchorage compare sa tendon..kaya need ng economical design..
      3.) Kung Meron mapatid na tendon..babalik Yan sa design stage para i-check kung kaya pa ng beam section..
      4.) Kung Meron planted column sa beam..ibang diskarte na naman yan regarding sa stressing..
      5.) Kung billboard naman nakapatong sa beam..iba na naman Yan..dahil Meron uplift force due wind..
      Marami pang ibang problema ma encounter sa site na need some calculation to check at para magawan ng paraan...in short by experience at diskarte ang kailangan..
      Just Read Yung books ni T.Y. LIN.. prestressed structure..marami kayong matutunan..
