    I whole heartily appreciate the action taken by RBI to restrict merchants for their monopoly to initiate any transactions without taking any cosent from the payer. This is very first step to curb almost 99% fraud transactions. In this concern RBI also intiate OTP mandatory for ATM withdrawals even after pin authentication. It will definitely curb for hackers who stole the secret information of concern holder in making fraud transactions or withdrawals. I congratulate RBI for this action

    RBI is issuing every day a new notification in the name if secured banking. In spite of such security precautions, I lost a considerable amount from my Pension account with PNB to a fraudulent caller in July 2021. Though I informed the customer care of PNB to immediately blocked the card but instead of doing so he deliberately kept my call on HOLD and without sharing OTP received from the bank, I lost my money. Reported the issued to the bank but in vain. RBI is rather making for us more difficult to reach our money by issuing everyday a new notification in the name of safety.

    So it is meaning that, do not use other payment methods like Cred/Payzapp and etc. Use only direct banking, online net banking. I'm a right ??

      Hi Balaji, to safeguard consumers, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has put in place new safety and security measures for card payments. The new conditions prescribed by RBI require a cohesive effort by all stakeholders, including Card Issuing banks, Merchant Acquiring Banks, Card Networks and Merchants. All constituents must complete the development, integration and deployment of a COMMON platform fully compliant with the RBI guidelines.
      Until the common platform is live, here are a few interim solutions to make your payments:
      Option 1:
      You can make the payment on Merchant Website / App with your HDFC Bank Credit / Debit Card and authenticate the transaction via OTP.
      Option 2:
      You can use our NetBanking portal to register your Electricity / Water / Gas / LPG / Landline telephone / Postpaid mobile / DTH / Broadband / Insurance billers for auto payments via our BillPay service. -Manoj

      We understand from your post that you wish to register the Smart Pay facility on your card account. We request you to follow the below Smartpay Registration procedure.
      Step 1 : Log in to NetBanking with our respective Customer ID & password.
      Step 2 : Click Cards tab. Got to Credit cards -->Transact--> Smartpay Online
      Step 3: Click Add a SmartPay Account & select a card for which Smartpay registration to be processed.
      Step 4: Enter email ID & expiry date. Click Submit
      Step 5: Click Add Biller option to make new registration in Smartpay. -Varun, Service Manager

      Auto pay they charge 29.50 every time and sometime if they identity customer is not checking the statement they charge 236 more as well. Phone bank will ask you to go to the branch to reverse and the branch will tell computer mistake in HO. If it is more than 30days they won't reverse the higher charges else the branch will reverse it immediately.
