Hello, the 82nd Airborne 508th P.I.R., Co. F. [brave men] did not land at Utah, they were paratroopers. See link for after action report www.dday-overlord.com/en/battle-of-normandy/after-action-reports/82nd-airborne/508th-pir
@@trevortrevortsr2 Hi The Erebus was not involved in the bombardment of Utah, the ships role on D-day was to bombard Honfleur and the La Pernelle costal area about 18 to miles along the coast. They did an important job but were not at Utah.
Normandy it's the begining of US ocupation of Europe. Yankees don't go home after WW2 . They are still here. When US troops finnaly find way to home and leave europe alone? We don't need your help ! USA go home !
is the part from 2:59 the path that the Americans took to attack the bunkers from "behind"? i read they did it on Omaha that way, the path seems clear, was even that small path filled with mines back then?
Not a single bomd hit the beach bunkers...shame...not a single naval bomb...one would think, hold on a moment, young men are dying there on the beach...mayby we should target again...because we now know+ 20000 name it as you wish. But of course officers like to sleep in houses.
This is impressive, I can not believe it, it is very nostalgic, here it was really my dreams that someone posted the scenes of abandoned bunkers of Normandy, as well as omha bech etc with a background music charm of medla of honor, if it corresponds to the scene and this wonderful place luck and I hope you continue uploading more content greetings to each of you and from here I support you with my like
Does anyone know of an EXACT detailed map of Utah beach WN 5 where every bunker, trench, seawall etc. is located? Nice video btw. good the landing did not end up here at WN 10, as was planned but due to the current the landingforce ended up more to the south (or as seen from the sea more to the left of this position). This location does show a bit more of how the Germans fortified the coast, since WN 5 was bombed more intensively and less structures survived the attack.
It is interesting that the original landing was planned to be further to the northwest by about a mile or so. Based on the defense there it was as pointed out very fortunate the US landed where they did and Roosevelt had the follow on come in where he landed. The beach exit where they landed is a direct shot right into Ste Marie du Mont with a high speed avenue of approach into the town. It was a very “lucky mistake” that should have been the original plan!
God i love the moh FL soundtrack you used. That in itself deserves a like
Medal of Honor Frontline music eh, nice choice lad
I was gonna say this sounded familiar. What a great game.
My dad was at Utah Beach. It is strange to look at this and know that people in the bunkers were shooting at him.
Than teel people that they shuld stop shooting at him.

Nice work! Reminded me of the first Mad Max movie. Thanks!
Utah beach is my favorite out of all
Have to be a spoilsport but this was not the landing site on Utah, this is WN10 where the troops were supposed to land, but they landed around WN05.
My father landed at Utah Beach on D-Day. 82nd Airborne 508th P.I.R., Co. F. He was 19 years old.
My Dad was in the old 15" monitor ship Erebus shelling the pillboxes - also 19 year old
