When you try the contacts Please Please Please. Get rid of the pacakging solution and let the contacts soak in contact solution first. You can seriously damage your eyes if you put them in straight from the package. The pacakge solution is for sterilizing and not meant to be in your eyes.

Be super careful with those contact lenses, if they were really cheap they could damage your eyes. If you do, be sure to rinse them with contact solution first.
The good Dr Fozard will be apprised of all things like that, I'm sure.
3:30 I googled this powder and apparently you can clean metal jewellery/accessories(like silver, bronze, steel(?)) with it! Just smear a bit of it onto the thingy you want to clean, and it will be shiny again (according to the websites)

The Balm is actually really common here in Australia and I remember seeing it and being like "oh my gosh Jessica would love this!" I don't know why but you're sort of like a little friend in my head sometimes hehehe
K-palette is a Japanese brand -- I think the 1 day tattoo series of makeup is something they're best known for!
I'm pretty sure what you think are restaurant flannels are actually DIY face masks, soak them in your favorite serum and they should puff up to a nice diy sheet mask

Ooo that plastic ponytail helper looks like a Topsy Tail...Pretty much every kid I knew had one. They're great, especially when you have hand/wrist issues.

Jessica the pearl powder thing is Korean( I'm Korean so) three times a day is suppose to be like the concept of brushing your teeth. Your suppose to brush three times a day but usually people brush morning and evening so it doesn't really matter if it's three times or one time just use them daily to have the effect! And apparently, according to the label, it's suppose to make your skin moisturized and strengthen them. Hope it helps!!

Those Korean eyeliners are the best!! They will not come off unless I use a really good makeup remover on them. I have to use a brand of remover called Bifesta here which is a Japanese brand and is really good at getting rid of any sort of waterproof makeup.

TheBalm makeup is an American brand which I have the Vintage Apple Blossom Check and Lip Cream collections of 6 cream colorful blushes; that goes on like butter also can be mixed. In America, the makeup is sold in Burlington Factory for 90% off which is a great price.

I love those shoes, and that block of white powder is a very old sort of foundation that you have to add a bit of to water to use. People in China, Singapore and Malaysia used it for a very long time* (said tome the first time), and the illustration is of a Shanghainese woman from the past. To use it, form a sort of paste with it and apply like foundation. It makes your skin very white, so use sparingly!
Yet another fun video! It would be great when you do future videos if you could point out what you are wearing that’s from Malaysia! (some of us aren’t th on instagram)
I think we just added Malaysia to our list of travel when our children go off to college.
If you've never put contact lenses in, make sure you put them in while sitting down, I have no trouble touching my eye but when I put my contacts in for the first time I almost fainted and according to my optometrist that's a very common reaction
A little known fact, shoes worn by movie stars are often bought 1/2 to a full size too large. So that as they wear them all day/evening and their feet swell they still won't be uncomfortable. Also so they don't get Brian on the back of the heel. Look for the gaps on red carpets, you'll be surprised. The little elastic band a clever solution to a variable in shoe sizing!
I've had one of those pony tail arrange things since I was a kid, and I still use it constantly! It's such a helpful little tool. Good find!

At 3:25, I believe it's a perfume powder that you dab on your body or neck, pretty much like a regular modern day liquid perfume. I wouldn't put it on the face... Unless you like it.

Similar to The Balm, you'd probably also really enjoy Besame. Pretty much all of their stuff are reproductions of cosmetics from the 30s/40s/50s, especially lipsticks, and they're really nice. If you're familiar with Agent Carter from the first Captain America movie, they used one of Besame's lipsticks (the shade Red Velvet) for the Agent Carter show that ran for a couple seasons. I got it because I was fangirling like crazy and it's the most perfect classic red.
I'm not a make up girl, but I watch you babbling about make up anyway. It is really entertaining. I love your costom made necklace. I love the story behind it and also just the style of it.
The last item is face powder. it’s rice powder and very lovely.

Make sure you get a contact case and protein removing contact solution so you can store and reuse those lenses! The container they came in looks disposable.
Hi Jessica! I can attest to the longevity and magic of many k and j beauty eyeliners and brow products (not these specific ones, but hopefully yours work well!) , but ive recently read an article about the possible risks of leaving on eye makeup especially ones that are stubborn to remove. It is the most risky around the sensitive eye area (as im sure you are familiar), and may cause irritation or more long term damage if inadequately removed. I know you are just mentioning that the product stayed well on your hand, but please be sure to take it off at the end of the night!

Hey there's 3 of us! Sometimes I will find a container that is packaging items and I'll buy it for the bottle, jar or whatever container it is in. Lol
The tattoo pen,eyeliner and first brow pencil were actually japanese and fun fact:Japanese eye products are really strong and don't come off easily,even though they wear very soft and natural make-up😄

I think the little box of powder is for polishing jewelry. People rarely use it for makeup purposes nowadays.

Well, I've never used Pearl powder on my face, but my gran used to make me eat pearl powder daily as a kid because I was terribly sickly and she felt she had to feed me everything possible to 'strengthen' my body. That, along with snake bile and crocodile soup were staples of my childhood. Can't say it did my constitution much good, I'm still chronically ill, BUT I do have amazing skin!!
The 2 necklaces are definitely the most beautiful things from the haul!

Be careful with non-prescription lenses not sold by an eye care professional. They're not always the best quality and can hurt your eyes. Those shoes are to die for, by the way!

I would like to second this, I am a nurse. Have worked in ophthalmology for many years, please don’t put contact lenses in your eyes that have not been prescribed by a dr. This goes for any contact lenses, even “fancy dress ones”. They can cause serious eye damage, I have seen people lose sight in their eyes and Even need corneal grafting. Please stay away from such lenses. Now I know I sound like a crazy person just spouting on the internet, there are many articles online to back it up. Otherwise I love your content, keep up the great work!

I feel the same way bout the Anne boelyn necklace.
Everything was fabulous! Also I would love to see a video with makeup tips on how you do your makeup with vision impairment. I miss doing my brows and a winged eyeliner but I have only 10% vision in my left eye so I have to settle for natural brows and simple one shadow looks.
Wait a minute!! HANG ON A MINUTE JESSICA that powder with the vintage Chinese packaging isn't face powder, it's for polishing stuff! (I can read the language that the instructions are in lol. Also there aren't actually any instructions on the box but my Malaysian/Singapore Chinese grandad ran an electronics shop and used this stuff on watches.)
Ok, talking to myself here... but I looked up more about this and apparently a few decades ago it WAS actually used as face powder... but since people it is essentially a block of talc, it's used mostly for metal polishing now. So I guess you can technically put it on your face?
Edit: Anyway the translated name is Three Phoenix Begonia Powder if anyone is interested!
