I've done fast or staying alive beat they all work the same champ it is recommended how we do it but on the field it's better to be safe than sorry push hard and keep the same rhythm I am a BLS/AED instructor and these guys performed amazing that's all that matters get that heart pumped in equal intervals.
Compressions are not too fast....100-120 per minute, per AHA recommendations. These manikins do not accept opa’s. An opa is not required in AHA cpr or when performing the NREMT CPR/AED skill station. If you could explain how the BVM was used wrong I would appreciate it. He had a good seal and adequate chest rise with each ventilation. RallyPoint EMS/Jeremiah
This is an older video, I’ll update it for you. For the NREMT CPR/AED skills station you do not need to do compressions while the AED is charging. This is typically done in the real world, but not during the skills test. In all honesty, the number of compressions you do while the aed is charging is probably not enough to increase cerebral perfusion pressure or coronary artery pressure enough to be worthwhile. Compressions (per the aha) should be 100-120 per minute. Rallypoint EMS/Jeremiah
The AHA recommends that all one rescuer CPR ventilation be completed as mouth-to-mask ventilation’s. Ventilation’s with a BVM should be completed in the cephalic position, not from the side.
Thank you for your comment. While this is true, the NREMT assessments are not conducted using the AHA recommendations. The procedure and positioning is taught in the method preferred by the NREMT.
Rescuer No 1 made a mistake. While rescuer No 2 was conducting CPR rescuer No 1 should have applied the AED pads first before turning on the AED while the second rescuer giving good quality CPR and then the AED should be turned on and he should have waited for the instructions from the AED.
too fast compressions over 120/min. and why didn't they do compressions while charging AED?
I agree. Way too fast for my comfort. Not as effective and i'll wear myself out faster. 100 bpm is best
I was gonna say, so far I've learned to go with the beat of "Stayin' Alive", which is not nearly that fast
P

Because you're not supposed to touch the body while aed is analyzing. Yeah chest compression needs to be slower to make sure full chest recoil.
Those compressions are too fast.
there is so many mistakes here, too fast compression ,unless that's a child / no OPA/ BVM used wrong

bvm without a opa?
Good catch
Isnt necessary for this skill

Hanibal Lector he did it correctly according to national registry, you are supposed to turn the AED on before applying the pads
You turn the AED on first always.
