      It’s crazy because my professor literally had us doing compressions with the song staying alive playing in the background.

      @shadianasherman4541 it's wide known strat that is taught in most ems courses.
      But tbh it doesn't have to be perfect the chance that cpr isnt successful is about 70 - 80%
      The only thing that matters is to pump the heart hard enough and good form to get all of its blood moving. I've done it many times now correctly and when i was a rookie there was times under too much pressure I went to fast but it was enough to sustain life and I've been successful. The only thing that truly matters from my experience is timing, timing, timing from you getting that patient is what truly matters too long and your chances weaken the early the higher I've seen it done many times and each person has their methods some do it too slow but were on early and survived and some were perfect but took to long to get to the patient and they died. I am now a FTO and I advise all my trainnees pump that heart hard but not to hard use the recoil from the bounce and follow the rhythm. Worked out great for us.

      Correct. And when the female began compressions her hands were not how they were supposed to be.

    Why did you not open his airway?

    • @something3867

      He checks ABCs while looking for a pulse. With no chest rise it isn't blockage causing the lack of breathing so there really isn't a need
      Edit: I just finished emt training so take what I say with a pinch of salt

      You’re supposed to continue CPR even when it says “charging” I’m in EMS school now and that’s how they teach it

      @@joelraymer9907 yes but then the AED said "stay clear" and the EMT still kept doing compressions which is a big no no.

      @@jcherrera i actually got taught to do it that way as well. It's very helpful for the patients blood supply to do cpr in between shocks

    • @dillanfolkers669
      @dillanfolkers669 3 роки тому +5

      @@jcherrera it's actually fine. The only time you can NOT touch the pt is during the analyze phase. It says to stay clear because a laymen is more likely to accidentally get shocked if they keep going while it charges, but with 2 trained providers you can ignore that prompt

      Correct rate of compressions is 100-120 per minute
