- Welcome to my lore video about the Elysian Drop Troops, always have been a big fan of this particular regiment as it relates to some of my favourite Sci-Fi novels, join me as we hear a short story and then we dive into everything there is to know about one of the most unique and interesting fighting forces in the Imperium!
The Elysian Drop Troops are a unit that is designed for airborne attacks and close-combat, and are known for their tactical flexibility and stratagems which can lead them to fight in deep space battleship boarding actions, covert operations and massive battle zone deployment.

@@terranbrah I'm doing an Only war game, it's the 40k rpg like dnd, and we're doing an elysian regiment, so i'm trying to get as much info as possible

Will do, though I doubt we will, do you have any info on the organization of the Elysian drop troops? I'm not sure if they are organized like the cadians or otherwise@@terranbrah
@@jacobroberts8621 just from what i remember these are elite troops in a way that in order to get recuited into it you have had to have been a good soldier on the PDF in Elysia, only then you are eligeble for training, its like special forces as they are only picked from the best, think about it, gotta go to advanced CQC combat, demolition, infiltration, airborne, survival, expertise in all and any weapons, besides heavy mental training to endure the hardships of the drops, besides that its a civilized world so characters will vary depending on the origin, but my guess its dfferent from Cadia (RIP) since there it was like you were born in Khazar or a fortress, and thats its its military life, on Elysia if you wanna be on the drop troops first you have to go to the PDF, and before that its your life in the cities and hives, so quite different, but not that much since Elysia is surrounded by danger as well, pirates and chaos now with the rift
And after your video I can understand how gw downgraded this bad boys when they fought tau...
It's Forge World. They nerf _every_ Imperial force against the Tau.
