Perfect timing. Me and my family are booked to go on the Blue Lagoon Island Beach Break next month. Great video and preview for me. I cannot wait. Thank you for share this with us. Cheers.
@@TheWeekendCruiser we had a rude staff member getting checked in and being assign a ferry. However, other than that we had great interactions with the staff on the island which lead to a great excursion at Blue Lagoon. We are going to try out Pearl Island when we are in the Bahamas with our Disney Cruise this winter. It looks a bit slower paced and more relaxing.
Great information breaking down each of the different packages. I just booked the Adult Beach Day for August, that lunch and drinks look great! Thank you!!!
What a beautiful place to spend the day. I liked that secluded beach where you paid that professional model to demonstrate walking into the water where no one else was around! Bravo Brandon for getting some UA-camr perks, because you really do get people out and about. We actually love to stay on the ship when everyone else has gotten off, because it’s incredibly quiet and relaxing.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video as well as the animal crossing encounter one on Blue Lagoon. It gave me some great tips for my visit there in a couple of weeks. Question?? Do we have to pay to walk the island or can we explore on our own?
Hey Joy and thank you! Once you are on he island, you can explore on your own with no issue! They have the one adult section that is private but other than that enjoy several beaches or the nature trail with no issues.
We'd like to do the adults only but it doesn't start until 1:00. It lasts for five hours, but with transportation there and back, do you think it's worth it? Probably only four hours at the beach during the heat of the day, and that includes time for lunch. Thanks! Great video!
Thank you! That is a tough one... I agree, going in the morning would ideal. It would come down to the price for me. It is a great experience but you are right, budget 25 minutes there and back for transportation, lunch is 30 - 45 min, and then in the sun after. They did have plenty of umbrellas when I was there and that water is beautiful. I too would be troubled with this as it is a roll of the dice.
Your content is thoroughly helping me prepare for my first Royal cruise which happens to be on the Freedom. So helpful . My daughter wants to do the blue lagoon stingray and beach .
Hi Cynthia! Yes! It is going to be a lot more expensive than Junkanoo which is free but it is a lot more relaxing, has a boat ride, and better water. Just don't let the 4 year old see the dolphins or then it gets really expensive! ;-)
Great job Brandon! I did the beach break last October through Carnival. Perfect weather and very relaxing! Blue Lagoon will always rank high for me because it was the first beach and trip since Covid shutdown of 2020! I’d do it again! Staff was awesome too as you said. Tom from NC
In all my cruises, i have never heard of an issue here. Normally, tourist areas filter their water excessively to avoid any issues with their guest. The Blue Lagoon is also in the Bahamas 🤫
@@TheWeekendCruiser Thanks so much! This will be our first cruise...obviously, lol. So, I have that same question in regard to the other ports on our trip. We will be going to St. Thomas, Tortola BVI, and Puerto Plata. We will be sailing on Norwegian and when I scheduled our excursion to Blue Lagoon, I didn't see an option for adults only, is that something I need to ask about after we board? Thanks again!
@@pcbbeach4ever Yes, keep looking online for it. The cruise lines all contract out and offer something different. If nothing else, I believe if you can book a normal excursion to Blue Lagoon you can upgrade once there. But verify that one first!
I’m catching up on your videos! I’ll be going on Independence of the Seas to Nassau July 11th. This and the walking tour looks great. This series has been quite helpful as I’ve been to Nassau umpteen times. Always looking to do something else. Will you be doing more of these self walking and excursions video? Asking because I’ve done so many cruises that I need some new ideas for both the eastern and western sailings.
haha, no worries Joyce! I know you always get around to them and it is greatly appreciated! I am hopeful I will get to do more like this. Want to put some request in?
Maybe about The Key. Also I just found out that I didn’t apply for the Royal Up the right way. Finally got it figured out and received an email. On some Facebook sites, this mistake seems to be common.
@@joycehardy9422 I could do the Key. Honestly, with status I have never bought it but can should be able to break down the "value" of The Key. Not sure I follow on the upgrade. What do you mean you didn't apply right away?
@@TheWeekendCruiser I’m trying The Key for the first time on my July 11th cruise. For the Royal Up I chose what I was interested in and placed my bids. Since I did it on my phone I thought I was finished once I hit the “place bid”. I didn’t know to keep scrolling to accept the terms and submit my credit card number. Lots of people in a group I was following was mentioning about getting a confirmation email. Read lots of the comments and someone explained it. At least I was able to go back in the system and do it all over and completed it. I got an email immediately saying they received my request. Lesson learned…scroll scroll scroll. Now I wait. If one of my bids is accepted , I will be charged for it and can’t change it. (Multiple bids gives a better chance and they only accept one). If you aren’t aware, it’s a program to upgrade your cabin.
Hmm the beach is a beautiful beach. They do have the water activities such as canoes and the inflatable water course. Otherwise, it is more relaxing and enjoying the water which is beautiful.
I was there a month ago I do not recommend the Blue lagoon I had four and a half hours your time starts waiting for the ferry the food line was a long line you had to wait for that I only spent like 2 hours on the beach hour and a half they were constantly on the loudspeakers waste of money
Hey Keith, that was definitely not the case when I was there but thank you for sharing! If you are on a Royal Caribbean ship, they do sell the quickest tour of the island compared to the other lines. I think it will also depend on how many ships are in Nassau Port that day.

@@TheWeekendCruiser You are very welcome, Brandon!
Blue lagoon was very fun. Also walking around Nassau and eating at local restaurants was very good as well.
Love both of those! Nassau has some great food options.
Just booked this excursion very excited to try it out!
Let us know how it goes!
Looks like a fun option for a tour. thanks for showing and congratulations on the comp.
Thank you as always Judi!
Awesome review! Definitely on my list to check out now. It looks gorgeous. Thanks for the thorough review as always!🛳

Hey Tonda! That is awesome and glad to help! You can't go wrong with Blue Lagoon, it is beautiful!
Is this a good place for a mom and 4 year old? I was planning on going to Junkanoo beach but keep getting mixed reviews… thanks for sharing

It looks awesome, Brandon! We can't wait! BTW, is there any reason to worry about the water (ice) in drinks as it is in Mexico?

Are there any cabanas on both sides of the Blue Lagoon Beach? If so, are they free or for rent?
Hey Quianna, from my memory, cabanas are only on the main side of the lagoon. They are an additional charge and only the chairs come with purchase.
What a great option.
It's really nice!
Are the beach inflatables included in the Deluxe Beach day?
They are not, those would be an extra purchase once on the island Karen. At least through RCL. Not sure if other lines include or sale that.
I’m ready for the Bahamas!
Come on down Margaret!
Can you snorkel there? We're cruising in November!
You sure can! You are welcome to bring your own or they have some you can rent.
Do you think there is stuff for teens on the beach?
Hmm the beach is a beautiful beach. They do have the water activities such as canoes and the inflatable water course. Otherwise, it is more relaxing and enjoying the water which is beautiful.

Sad to see mammal enclosures of any kind.
These are well cared for at least. Better than most dogs or cats I know.
