I don't think they should. I hate re-recordings. It's was released that way and is meant to sound like that. I agree the production is not the best and the vocals were not that great but it's overall better than most generic deathcore now days.
*SO TRUE* about the Incisions recording!! Material was great but the recording was wayyyyyyy too low. Hopefully, they re-record🙏🏿 Also, Delta was the shit!!!
I went to a show by myself one time and got to see Adam. He was just chilling and talking to a bunch of other fans so I kinda just hung back. I was to drunk and scared to want to talk to him but it was cool to see he was just hanging out.
Adam is a great dude. Met him in at chaos and carnage 2022. Also, suicide needs to be recorded with joey next album. I spoke to adam about how Joey is the goat, and has this perfect understanding of adding emotion and space to a recording.
Adam looks so healthy now. Good to see people changing for the better. Progression not regression. 🤘 Hopefully they'll do a u.s. tour soon. Definitely a band I need to see live. I'd love to see an interview with tbdm on here.
Saw them in Chicago recently for their Depths full playthrough. Interesting interview. Looking forward to whatever they release again, if ever. I totally know the vibe of trying to perfect your own song and never quite "finishing it".
Im so thrilled to see this, like goddamn... Oceano was my shit back in the day and everyone thought i was nuts blasting that shit driving around miss those days 😂
@@GypsyDanger514 completely agreed. I've never got to see that many deathcore bands vs metalcore but OCEANO is a band I've wanted to see for a while and never have got to. In terms of coming near me when I like a few of the bands on the tour it doesn't seem to happen. If they're the only band I like or recognize I've found they'll come more near where I live. It sucks ass.
Oceano definatly should of released more music to stay relevant. I don't like when bands release every year and rerelease but oceano should have released a full album in 2020-21 and a ep after.
30:20 The thing about Incisions to me is that despite the material being pretty consistently good, the band lost some of its identity in the recording process. It's definitely an Oceano record, don't get me wrong, but there's a good number of riffs that always reminded me of Continent-era Acacia Strain. Which is conflicted in its own right! It's always been complicated to me.
Remember when Adam was selling the Dead Ethics merch!?! I was so gassed to cop one of the minecraft font tanks when they toured th Uk in 2012 with IWABO... probably still got it somewhere
I always had that feeling with incisions, listening to the whole background I understand why such a drastic change, it's like my black sheep in oceano discography haha.
So cool to hear them talk about their experience with Joey Sturgis, I remember when depths came out and it set the tone for the quality of metal albums, oceano, for the fallen dreams, the devil wears Prada, the albums they did with Joey Sturgis changed things when they came out
So true about them being the precursor to more heavy music , I wasn't a huge fan of deathcore but I saw oceano live at summer slaughter in NYC that same night I went back home and started listening to them and soon after it was just deathcore galor
Damn I haven't seen Adam in a long time he lost a ton of weight, barely recognizable. I saw them live in 2018 opening for Whitechapel and they killed it
If I didn't know any better, I woulda thought they got a different singer since depths. His weight loss and just transformation in general is just insane! I never gave this band much of a chance just cuz this genre was super oversaturated by time they came along. I might check out some of their more recent stuff!
Chris says Alex was "All over the place" but I just compared Unanswered with live with both and I noticed Alex plays it way faster, then slows it down at the breakdowns which gives it more brutality, and at times keeps it more simple which puts the spotlight more on Mitch. Hard to pick one over the other but give Alex more credit man!
It was my first big tour, and I remember taking a dab right before an outdoor show in Louisiana. The set did not go well. Lmfao 😂 *context of big, it was just a long tour lol*
19:50 I never understood that. It's the same with As I Lay Dying where Tim Lambesis wrote pretty much all their songs by himself. How is that? You have like 4 or 5 band members in a band. What are they doing when they're not performing live on stage? I mean how can they be band members if they have zero involvement in the songwriting process? Makes no sense to me whatsoever
Finally, Oceano. Next please interview Despised Icon
And Last 10 Seconds of Life!
SCOTT
Would love to see Bodysnatcher on here.
I’m not familiar with these guy but they seem to be extremely down to earth
@@Day-one-n6f check their music out
DEATHCORE LEGENDS!
I love Scott's sincerity haha, he's not arrogant or anything, he just doesn't have any filter to say what he thinks.
New member is happy to be there. He doesn't take a moment even on a podcast for granted
I’ve probably embarrassed myself a couple of times in front of Adam Warren fanboy-ing but he’s always been super dope. Good guy and talented guy.
Hell yeah, love listening to your pods while at work. Thanks for making these days less painful 🤘🏼
WE NEED AN O.G. TOURRR!!!!!! 🤘
Oh hell yeah amazing guests 🔥🔥🔥 oceano rules
One of the top best Garza Podcasts I've seen so far
DUDE I used to listen to Delta all the time, I somehow had no idea the guitarist joined Oceano!! My mind is fucking blown
Check out “THE DOOMSDAY CATALYST “ READY TO GET YOuR MIND BLOWN AGAIN. This is even before “delta”
Love this band. Been into them since 08
Love the guitar nerd talk haha! I had a 2 channel Dual Rectifier I sold for like 1100 I miss that thing so much
Guest wishes: Gatecreeper, Emmure, Harms Way, Vitriol, Xibalba
Xibalba would be amazing
Vitriol fuck yes
VITRIOL!!!!!
Elysia and Rose Funeral, I Declare War
Great to hear an interview with both Adam and Scott.
I would be stoked if they re-recorded Incisions.
For real! Such a great album but the production ruins it.
I don't think they should. I hate re-recordings. It's was released that way and is meant to sound like that. I agree the production is not the best and the vocals were not that great but it's overall better than most generic deathcore now days.
*SO TRUE* about the Incisions recording!!

Also, Delta was the shit!!!
Damn, i just listened to Depths and Contagion back to back yesterday. Wild

Yes oceano

LETSS GOOOOOO 😤🤘🏻🔥

I'd love to see an interview with tbdm on here.
Yessss!! As Garza would say "I'm horned up right now" 😆🤘😈
I saw so much of oceano growing up in the chicagoland area. Sick guests.
Saw them in Chicago recently for their Depths full playthrough. Interesting interview. Looking forward to whatever they release again, if ever. I totally know the vibe of trying to perfect your own song and never quite "finishing it".
Man I feel like I shoulda grown up around these guys. Literally the same conversations I’ve had with my best friend.
Im so thrilled to see this, like goddamn... Oceano was my shit back in the day and everyone thought i was nuts blasting that shit driving around miss those days 😂
Garza!! Seriously your podcast is truly gold and aaaamazing
Hell yea 💪💪💪 gotta love some oceano, seen them 3 times and great every time 🖤🤌💪
I can’t wait for this new album
We need a SS, WC, Oceano, Carnifex tour

Need Chelsea grin on next! This is like the 3rd time they were mentioned related to smoking lmao 🤣
I love these guy's ever since the beginning of deathcore
Despised Icon, The Acacia Strain, Between the Buriied and Me, Hatebreed, The Black Dahlia Murder, Veil of Maya, Born of Osiris, Emmure up next???
@deceptionmark some of my favorite bands! I second this comment!!
King of deathcore vocals imo
W
Adam has some of the best gutturals ever...😆 🤘🏻

Fav deathcore band!
The vibes are so chill here, all about it
Oceano might be my favorite band, go waaaay back with them
Contagion is still my favorite oceano album to this day
I took a huge L missing their Chain Reaction show! 😭
As did I
These boys killed on Friday night in San Diego 🤘
Big facts. Best deathcore show I’ve been too! IDW crushed it too!
Fuckin love this interview! Been a lurker for a while, finally subbed! Also, y'all never brought up Kurt Angle coming out to an Emmure song!

I really enjoy your podcast man
Oceano are a staple in the deathcore curriculum 🫡
So many great memories seein these dudes live back in the late 2000s.
I remember Delta!!! You dudes were sick! And I’ve talked to Holden online a few times! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
the acacia strain next please
Eu sou fã do Oceano desde sempre kkkkkk sou do Brasil... Mal posso esperar eles por aqui ❤

Need to see SPITE CULT 💀 Darius is a bad man! - Interview Signs Of The Swarm as many times as possible favorite band David is awesome
FINALLY.
So true about them being the precursor to more heavy music , I wasn't a huge fan of deathcore but I saw oceano live at summer slaughter in NYC that same night I went back home and started listening to them and soon after it was just deathcore galor
WWF Vol. 3 is most definitely my precursor to heavy music. Garza is a bigger fan than he lets on.
I just saw them in SF last night and I am playing with them soon! 👀👀👀
"you guys got anything yall are working on?"
Garza- "uhhhh oh its 420" LOL GREATTTTT

Ascendants and Revelation are great
Last two albums are legit. Threw in more alien vibes since it’s a concept album
Yeah I legit thought it was a different person. Now he looks younger than he did 15 years ago. That's wild
Garza, you sir are a patient man lol. Adam you too. Holy Scott 😅
4:38 again! everyone our age or anyone else with effort remembers that.
Dead Planet is one of my favorite songs
I got into oceano because of the old guitarist, but met him in person and was a bad experience, glad he is not there no mo😂😂
Like you just randomly ran into him or payed for a meet and greet?
@@tristanfaint6906 watched them live and he was on the band booth/merch table

The fender squire stage master was a 7 string with a floydrose in like 2001
We gotta get spite on here next
Fucking legends
Can we get Within The Ruins?
4:05 Okay I wasn't sure if you were too young to make my metal cut but you did, well done.
Link to the songs without Adam before he joined ?
25:00 that’s the craziest thing I’ve heard in my life
Wasn't expecting to nerd out about Attitude Era today lol
Loved these guys back in the day I had burned all the mp3s off of P2P
7:20 Hahaha! Garza was right it's Nirvana backwards hahahahha

Not gonna lie depths and ascendants are the best.

Hey Garza would you ever have the devil wears prada on As a guest I like the august burns red episode and I always like the episode with Tim lambisis
I think you should interview Alex Koehler
NO WAY!!
That intro 😂😂😂
Emmure would be top tier
BRING ON OUTTA POCKET, OUTTA POCKET, OUTTA POCKET
DDP sued Jay Z for throwing up diamond sign too
In Texas all pants are cut-offs
Fuck yeah
You should have korn on the show
