The Heaviest Podcast of All Time
Finally, Oceano. Next please interview Despised Icon
And Last 10 Seconds of Life!
SCOTT
Would love to see Bodysnatcher on here.
I’m not familiar with these guy but they seem to be extremely down to earth
@@Coprophagia422 check their music out
DEATHCORE LEGENDS!
I love Scott's sincerity haha, he's not arrogant or anything, he just doesn't have any filter to say what he thinks.
We need a SS, WC, Oceano, Carnifex tour
WE NEED AN O.G. TOURRR!!!!!! 🤘
DUDE I used to listen to Delta all the time, I somehow had no idea the guitarist joined Oceano!! My mind is fucking blown
Check out “THE DOOMSDAY CATALYST “ READY TO GET YOuR MIND BLOWN AGAIN. This is even before “delta”
Need Chelsea grin on next! This is like the 3rd time they were mentioned related to smoking lmao 🤣
Love the guitar nerd talk haha! I had a 2 channel Dual Rectifier I sold for like 1100 I miss that thing so much
Guest wishes: Gatecreeper, Emmure, Harms Way, Vitriol, Xibalba
Xibalba would be amazing
Vitriol fuck yes
VITRIOL!!!!!
Elysia and Rose Funeral, I Declare War
Hell yeah, love listening to your pods while at work. Thanks for making these days less painful 🤘🏼
One of the top best Garza Podcasts I've seen so far
Love this band. Been into them since 08
I’ve probably embarrassed myself a couple of times in front of Adam Warren fanboy-ing but he’s always been super dope. Good guy and talented guy.
Man I feel like I shoulda grown up around these guys. Literally the same conversations I’ve had with my best friend.
Oh hell yeah amazing guests 🔥🔥🔥 oceano rules
I would be stoked if they re-recorded Incisions.
For real! Such a great album but the production ruins it.
Contagion is still my favorite oceano album to this day
LETSS GOOOOOO 😤🤘🏻🔥
Great to hear an interview with both Adam and Scott.
Yessss!! As Garza would say "I'm horned up right now" 😆🤘😈
Damn, i just listened to Depths and Contagion back to back yesterday. Wild
Remember when Adam was selling the Dead Ethics merch!?! I was so gassed to cop one of the minecraft font tanks when they toured th Uk in 2012 with IWABO... probably still got it somewhere
I went to a show by myself one time and got to see Adam. He was just chilling and talking to a bunch of other fans so I kinda just hung back. I was to drunk and scared to want to talk to him but it was cool to see he was just hanging out.
I saw so much of oceano growing up in the chicagoland area. Sick guests.
Yes oceano
Saw them in Chicago recently for their Depths full playthrough. Interesting interview. Looking forward to whatever they release again, if ever. I totally know the vibe of trying to perfect your own song and never quite "finishing it".
Fuckin love this interview! Been a lurker for a while, finally subbed! Also, y'all never brought up Kurt Angle coming out to an Emmure song!
Need to see SPITE CULT 💀 Darius is a bad man! - Interview Signs Of The Swarm as many times as possible favorite band David is awesome
Adam is a great dude. Met him in at chaos and carnage 2022. Also, suicide needs to be recorded with joey next album. I spoke to adam about how Joey is the goat, and has this perfect understanding of adding emotion and space to a recording.
Fav deathcore band!
Hell yea 💪💪💪 gotta love some oceano, seen them 3 times and great every time 🖤🤌💪
I really enjoy your podcast man
Garza!! Seriously your podcast is truly gold and aaaamazing
Eu sou fã do Oceano desde sempre kkkkkk sou do Brasil... Mal posso esperar eles por aqui ❤
FINALLY.
WWF Vol. 3 is most definitely my precursor to heavy music. Garza is a bigger fan than he lets on.
Adam looks so healthy now. Good to see people changing for the better. Progression not regression. 🤘 Hopefully they'll do a u.s. tour soon. Definitely a band I need to see live.
I'd love to see an interview with tbdm on here.
Garza, you sir are a patient man lol. Adam you too. Holy Scott 😅
the acacia strain next please
I always had that feeling with incisions, listening to the whole background I understand why such a drastic change, it's like my black sheep in oceano discography haha.
Chris says Alex was "All over the place" but I just compared Unanswered with live with both and I noticed Alex plays it way faster, then slows it down at the breakdowns which gives it more brutality, and at times keeps it more simple which puts the spotlight more on Mitch. Hard to pick one over the other but give Alex more credit man!
Damn I haven't seen Adam in a long time he lost a ton of weight, barely recognizable. I saw them live in 2018 opening for Whitechapel and they killed it
I can’t wait for this new album
I took a huge L missing their Chain Reaction show! 😭
As did I
So many great memories seein these dudes live back in the late 2000s.
I love these guy's ever since the beginning of deathcore
And that's the bottom line son! 💀
These boys killed on Friday night in San Diego 🤘
Big facts. Best deathcore show I’ve been too! IDW crushed it too!
Fucking legends
Garza: "Were there computers in the 80s?" 😂😂😂
Oceano are a staple in the deathcore curriculum 🫡
Oceano might be my favorite band, go waaaay back with them
King of deathcore vocals imo
W
Adam has some of the best gutturals ever...😆 🤘🏻
4:38 again! everyone our age or anyone else with effort remembers that.
I just saw them in SF last night and I am playing with them soon! 👀👀👀
30:20 The thing about Incisions to me is that despite the material being pretty consistently good, the band lost some of its identity in the recording process. It's definitely an Oceano record, don't get me wrong, but there's a good number of riffs that always reminded me of Continent-era Acacia Strain. Which is conflicted in its own right! It's always been complicated to me.
If I didn't know any better, I woulda thought they got a different singer since depths. His weight loss and just transformation in general is just insane! I never gave this band much of a chance just cuz this genre was super oversaturated by time they came along. I might check out some of their more recent stuff!
Ascendants and Revelation are great
Last two albums are legit. Threw in more alien vibes since it’s a concept album
Yeah I legit thought it was a different person. Now he looks younger than he did 15 years ago. That's wild
We gotta get spite on here next
Despised Icon, The Acacia Strain, Between the Buriied and Me, Hatebreed, The Black Dahlia Murder, Veil of Maya, Born of Osiris, Emmure up next???
"you guys got anything yall are working on?"
Garza- "uhhhh oh its 420" LOL GREATTTTT
Fml seen them 2 nights ago in sf with i declare war got to hang out with both bands all night it was amazing
I got into oceano because of the old guitarist, but met him in person and was a bad experience, glad he is not there no mo😂😂
The fender squire stage master was a 7 string with a floydrose in like 2001
Dead Planet is one of my favorite songs
YEEEEEEESSSSSSSS❤❤❤❤❤❤
PLS HAVE GATECREEPER AND CRYPTA!!❤️🔥
OCEANO es DIOS
Wasn't expecting to nerd out about Attitude Era today lol
Finally!
Need some Acacia Strain on here!!!!
4:05 Okay I wasn't sure if you were too young to make my metal cut but you did, well done.
NO WAY!!
Loved these guys back in the day I had burned all the mp3s off of P2P
DDP sued Jay Z for throwing up diamond sign too
Fuck yeah
7:20 Hahaha! Garza was right it's Nirvana backwards hahahahha
So without watching this..... Do they talk about the new album, maybe a date for a new track something....... I'm trying not to seem upset but it's been a year. If anyone can answer this question for me, if they don't even discuss that then I'm not watching this. I'll be more into this once we get some kind of update. Yes oceano is THAT good
It's kinda shocking how little real studio knowledge Oceano have like about simple quad tracking etc , would probably help if they were a little more open rather than being such control freaks , a hard balance to strike to be fair .
Hey Garza would you ever have the devil wears prada on As a guest I like the august burns red episode and I always like the episode with Tim lambisis
Emmure would be top tier
I totally feel him on guitar playing. Shredding just doesn't do anything for me at all. It's very impressive but I just can't get into it.
That intro 😂😂😂
Suge knight supposedly held vanilla ice outta window until ice gave up royalties over the song
I think you should interview Alex Koehler
BRING ON OUTTA POCKET, OUTTA POCKET, OUTTA POCKET
So I really have to know, what's that sick P H A T riffage at the end of the podcast? Is it from a song or just made for the videos?
BRINGING THE BEEF
You should have korn on the show
21:13 Keep working on the shit brother! haha you're not being hard on yourself for no reason....
I thought my ADHD was bad HAHAH
Right? Holy shit haha
Holy my lord what happened again😅😂😂
I declare war next
So I tried to click the 65 thumbs up to 66 and is reversed to 64?!? wtf
They should have been bigger.
Underrated comment
Hahah it's earth day
*OCEANo*
They're still a band?
Yup, even though their last album came out 7 years ago.
Yeah they have a record coming out sometime this year, its gonna be awesome dude
Why not do through the eyes of the dead 🖤
Jesus Scott needs to chill bruh
19:50 I never understood that. It's the same with As I Lay Dying where Tim Lambesis wrote pretty much all their songs by himself. How is that? You have like 4 or 5 band members in a band. What are they doing when they're not performing live on stage? I mean how can they be band members if they have zero involvement in the songwriting process? Makes no sense to me whatsoever
To the average person, there is nothing wrong with "Incisions". The problem with most bands these days is that they all sound plastic by trying to achieve the highest standard of quality. Things become too polished and most bands end up sounding like every other band in the scene. They strip away the characteristics that make the tracks feel "human" and that is why we rarely get albums like "The Cleansing" anymore.
