- Ateez is an international sensation that has created their own lane and identity in the K-Pop realm and their massive fanbase clings to every moment.
With numerous accolades and millions of records sold, the 8-man group stopped through the Power 106 studios for the first time to speak with Power Mornings co-host Teddy Mora and the incomparable DJ E-man following the wrap of their tour performances at LA’s historical Forum arena. While the group’s following continues to increase over social media, Ateez is working to continue to grow their brand in every country as they expand outside of their Korean come up!
The band has stayed focused on their music and their recent Fellowship tour but while they aren’t busy with work, the group reveals how they take time to themselves during their downtime but also share their appreciation for their Atiny fans.
Ateez goes on to speak about how they are inspired by hip-hop greats like Eminem, Offset, and Joeybadass, share their creative recording process, how they still keep their individuality, and much more.

ATEEZ music is different. Every song has a different vibe. There concepts are so cool. They are so unique
So proud of Hongjoong for how he represented the guys and bridged the gap! His English skills and translation ability was so impressive and I can tell how hard he worked for that. San being the biggest hype man as usual haha. Love to see Mingi and Yeosang's confidence growing all the time. Within the 4th gen era I truly believe they’re 4th Gen leaders because they stand out and bring something new to the industry. In addition, they have been complimented by many high end professionals and many rookies look up to them. So I definitely believe that ATEEZ are 4th Generation Leaders.

9:47 this is what attracts me the most to Ateez, their genuine love for hiphop and rap. Hongjoong naming Eminem as his first and favorite is so insane to me cause I literally grew up listening to him. He is my favorite rapper as well. Personally, I've never had another rapper ever leave a mark on me like Eminem has. I see how and why HJ has amazing flow and is amazing with rap in general🔥Also, Mingi explaining why rap is great...is the reason a lot of people like rap. It really is an amazing form of expression. Him mentioning offset doesn't seem very surprising for me haha, but he has now introduced me to Joey Basa$$. I checked out some of his stuff and it sounds awesome. Thanks Mingi.

I grew up with Eminem too and I think it's why I like kpop so much because when the rap line are good they can be insane. Suga and Changbin pulled me into BTS and SKZ

You know what is different to Ateez than other kpop group? It is that they are not afraid to experiment different genre and beats of the song. Unlike other kpop song i know, ateez can give their full potential in every perf. I can say they are real ACES. And another interesting and unique to them is their storyline can be seen/reflect on their songs. It's just like a different feeling and vibe when you listen to them. ATEEZ IS A DIFFERENT BREED OF KPOP.

Another thing that I’ve noticed is that they really want their music to reach any person, whether if it’s domestic or international fans.
For me, there aren’t a lot of music acts from that industry that gives off that genuine energy.
This was honestly one of the best interviews with Ateez. Engaging with all of them in a conversation, praising them all and knowing them so well for asking questions in an interview is quite a lot of effort.
