Strangely, considering her fierce image, the only member of CLC who likes and is at all interested in a return to cute concept is Yeeun. There was an interview with them last year - I think during "Me" promotions - in which the members were asked exactly that. Seunghee said that it would feel very odd for her to do anything as cute as their early concepts now that she will soon be 25 and most of the members are in their mid-20s. Plus even as far back as debut, CLC wanted a girl crush concept, but since at the time CUBE had 4Minute, they wanted CLC to be differentiated so set them up with cute concepts for their first two years. It was really only after 4Minute disbanded, and Hyuna took them under her wing, that the opportunity opened up for CLC to revamp. Connected side note: after CLC transitioned to girl crush with "Hobgoblin", Soyeon, who was a trainee at the time, was languishing in the lowest tier of CUBE trainees because CUBE's priority was trying to come up with another cute concept to contrast against CLC. The story of how that goal for CUBE gave way to (G)I-DLE, and how Soyeon jumped from the lowest tier to debut in about a year, has not yet been told. But I am sure it would be fascinating!
Soyeon just got into Cube and only a trainee. She is not yet in the list to debut and she just entered the company. Also, cube focus her individually during Produce 101 and they never thought that she was being recognized by her rap and entered again another competition Npretty rapstar. In this year, cube decided to form a group, and slowly introducing each cube trainee thus the birth of Gidle in 2018. It just bit 3 years in th e asking for Idle to made. Just like how Clc was made since 2011, which make seungyeon, Yujin and Sorn started in cube as trainee. BTW. Yujin is the longest cube trainee along with Seungyeon and was supposed in line up in Apink 2011 debut.
I was hoping this comeback they do like Mamamoo did with gogobebe, where they also promoted Waggy with it which was a super cute and funny song/performance
