Drove from Arkansas to Columbia MO to see GBV the same year. Pollard had thrown his back out a little and I offered to help him load the gear in. He passed me the bottle of tequila at several points during the show as a thank you. Will never forget that night...Proper rock n roll!!!!

the way he says "do you think she could change my fucked up life" in this set on cut out witch is so fucking hardcore and seems to impact the thematic feel significantly over the progression from the beginning of the song as it builds to the more energetic ending

Well when you write 5 songs on the shitter, 3 of them are great!! Obviously with Uncle Bob’s catalog he’s got a ton of better songs! They made a video for Glad Girls and they were signed to TVT and the corrupt criminal corporation coxksuckers had to make some sort of money! And that my friend is my Bob doesn’t deal with any label but his own! So give Glad Girls a pass on the circumstances that it was under! Thanks ladies and gentlemen! Enjoy as much GBV as you can cram into your brain, it’s a wonderful and beautiful experience.
