@@frumiousgaming Hah! Blast from the past. The team fell apart before we competed. Normal bullshit. A few months after this, I stopped playing TF2 and I haven't played it since. I still miss the game from time to time.
haha you're lyna's friend! yeah I actually am using 11in/360 atm and got used to it after some dm. still a little slow for me but my tracking feels better especially for mid fights so i think im going to keep slowly getting use to this. and yeah haha i heard ben uses 6in/360, and also i have mouse accel off
i don't know if there is a way to do it with you're computer, but a surefire way of finding it is simply get a ruler and measure the distance your mouse moves when you do a 360 in game. your mouse has little to do with sensitivity. the mouse affects precision mainly
Something I want to point out about the scout jumping: For Scouts: Try to land on places higher than the solly, and keep to those higher places. Makes it MUCH harder for them to hit you. For Soldiers: If the scouts are jumping on flat lands, just wait for them to land before shooting. They can't strafe out of your rockets if they've already used their double jumps. If they are sticking to areas higher than you, pull out your shotty and hope to outgun them.
This is the most commonly use answer, but use what feels right. There are a ton of scouts that use high sensitivity. For example, yz50 uses or used (not too sure) a 6 inch like yourself. Even some scouts use sensitivities that are 20 inches and higher, like cookye and they still do well. Just make sure you turn off mouse accel.
@FailedGambits I didn't claim you play on 14 inches, I was talking about the video where clckwrk says pros often play between 7-14 inches. I also said in my comment that I have lowered my sensitivity. Reading. It's hard.
I never really though about it but my sensitivity is really high, its around 2.5 inches for a 360. But no my aim does not suffer. Though im a wrist gamer and have 4000 hours played at this sensitivity so im not changing it lol.
jumping in a 1v1 situation as scout wont do a thing, when you jump, you are more vulnerable to meatshots, and more predictable(unless you are using the atomizer) Dont jump in 1v1 scout fights
@FailedGambits I have no idea how someone manages to play on 14 inches/360, do they have to throw their arm to the side to do a 180 or something? I don't know how I did it to be honest, I heard a lot of people were using a high sensitivity in CoD4 so I made it higher in all games. I'm now working on lowering it to a lower sensitivity than I have ever had before.
yes. i roll pubs as any class but i will very rarely win against a competitive scout i'm not good at aiming though that's why i mained spy (300 hours :D)
20/360 for me. I'll make it lower when I get a better mouse because it is a bit too high to shoot with the pistol from long distance. 25cm should already help.
@DemonicTurtle66 I just lowered mine to like 8 cm/360 and I can already tell the difference especially as a scout or sniper (though as a Heavy and at times pyro, I like high sensitivity). Only problem is that I need a bigger mousepad...
how do you use your mouse? mine is like 5/360 and the way I play is that I have my wrist resting on the mousepad and do all the movements by flicking my wrist.
i have 6in/360. is that too high? mouse dpi is 1800, ingame sense is 1.50 (raw input on) windows is default 6/11. how can people play 12in/360??? i tried that setting and holy shit it felt so damn slow like my mouse had to go across my entire desk to do a 360
7 INCHES? Mine is 3.5 cm and I never considered myself to have a very high sensitivity. How do you move your view around that quickly? I can barely make a 360 with 7 inches.
yesterday i went to my first mge server and i did not know how it goes or something and i got raped sometimes but now since i watched this i got better thx :D
I know its edited. That's exactly why I ask this. A lot of youtubers seem to be doing this kind of editing lately and it just doesn't sound natural to me.
yeah it's just psychological. Btw guys your sens should be: 400 DPI 6/11 windows sens Between 1.5 and 3.5 sensitivity in game Most pro players (same for CSGO) stick to this because it is proofed it's the best combination
This is 6 years late but in case anyone wants to know I heard it's a bug with demo recordings, I also saw this in j_peg's 71 ks video recently, so in true valve fashion they never patched it.
My meatshots: 30 damage
Their meatshots: 125 damage
James Da Batman i see you on strifes twitch :)
Lol so true man, anoying when that hapns...
James Da Batman Meatshot = above 50 damage
James Da Batman A good meatshot should do 95dmg or above rly.
Pretty sure a meatshot is when all 9 pellets hit, which should do at least 90
9 years later and it's still relevant and everything said still applies today
😄
mge me noob anime kid
You don’t jump or mainly fight scouts
Those multiple cuts throughout even one sentence was really jarring.

how did it go?

Old but gold:) thanks!
If I put my sensitivity up to 14k dpi and put my sensitivity to the max in tf2 I can't move it a cm whiteout doing several 360is
10 years late but good video. Helped me with scout.
no matter how many guides i watch I'm still horrible ;-;
Guides won't make you good, practice and applying the information you learn't from them in action does.

clockwork is the best scout in the game arguably
as a demo i find good scouts to be the most intimidating

that was a very good advantage i love this video
Old video that is gold
Thanks for the tips!

HUD???
Custom.
Download RaysHUD for something similar.
Good video mate. Cheers.
i do mirror and i think this strafe aiming makes me an easier target for the enemy too
My question is, how do stop soldiers from getting the highground in mge? This always happens...:c

the competitive game mode you rusty screw
Competitive TF2 has been a thing since the game came out. What does the description have to do with the "comp" gamemode?
So THAT's what MGE stands for

@massampage So long as nothing important is missing. I'm preferring this over a version that's got a ton of "um's" and "uh's"

Dead Head if u change it from 3 to 99 yes

What view model FOV should I use as scout?
90

Scout always has an advantage over pyro. Just run away, backup and then kill them.
My sensitivity is 180 idk why but it works
Even the best of player WILL miss their targets, especially if thats a scout their trying to get.
