Funny enough, there’s actually an episode in Star Wars Rebels that has Rex and some Battle Droids put their differences aside to take out a squad of Stormtroopers together.
In this context the line “Is this the place that I’ve been dreaming of!” It’s hard because we know all clones had a nightmares of a never ending battle.

Finally, some time after order 66, the clones and the clankers put their differences aside and began a band. Travelling the galaxy to perform and show that anybody can work together, if they only just try hard enough.
I'm a little shocked what emotional impact this has on me. I'm going through a pretty hard time right now and the lyrics perfectly describe how I felt for the last couple of weeks. Hearing the voices which accompanied me through my childhood takes me back to these simpler times and comforts me a lot. It's bittersweet really, and I can't believe I'm actually saying this about an STAR WARS AI COVER OF A MELANCHOLIC POP SONG.
I walked across an empty land I knew the pathway like the back of my hand I felt the earth beneath my feet Sat by the river, and it made me complete [Pre-Chorus] Oh, simple thing, where have you gone? I'm getting old and I need something to rely on So tell me when you're gonna let me in I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin [Verse 2] I came across a fallen tree I felt the branches of it looking at me Is this the place we used to love? Is this the place that I've been dreaming of? [Pre-Chorus] Oh, simple thing, where have you gone? I'm getting old and I need something to rely on So tell me when you're gonna let me in I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin [Chorus] And if you have a minute, why don't we go Talk about it somewhere only we know? This could be the end of everything So why don't we go Somewhere only we know? Somewhere only we know? [Pre-Chorus] Oh, simple thing, where have you gone? I'm getting old and I need something to rely on So tell me when you're gonna let me in I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin [Chorus] And if you have a minute, why don't we go Talk about it somewhere only we know? This could be the end of everything So why don't we go? So why don't we go? Ooh-aah, oh [Outro] This could be the end of everything So why don't we go Somewhere only we know? Somewhere only we know Somewhere only we know
I love rhe wholesome "roger roger" from the clone to the droid and then the droid returning. It's like a "Good job, i respect you" "thank you" or a "you good" "yeah man"
I loved it. It brought tears to my eyes. Also that the Clone Trooper and B1-Battle Droid sang with Light Sabers, instead of actual microphones is hilarious.
I literally can't stop watching this. It's _so_ good. First off, it's kinda a fitting song for the Clones and Droids to sing: the war was their life, and they struggle when they can't find their purpose anymore. Second, the presentation is amazing. The low-quality models add an amateur humour (like the out of sync drummers), but what sells it for me are the singers' poses. They're janky, but slouch depressedly. And yet several times they straighten their backs and hold their heads high in the face of each other, as if neither wants to fully show their loss without the other army's presence challenging their existence. Since they're the ones in call and response with each other, the musicians refuse to look at their leads. Good soliders follow orders, and orders were to kill the enemy. So they allow themselves to get lost in their playing, just as Clones turned on potential defectors so easily. It just looks so friggin hilarious to see a budget model try to look begrudging anyways. And the camerawork. It's very committed to who's in the spotlight at that time, even omitting the Drummer Droid since drums actually aren't playing that bit at first. Third, the _music._ I tried listening to the original after i heard this, but this _is_ the definitive version for me. The Clone is struggling to make himself audible out of shame. The Droid sounds physically incapable of singing with such empathy, so the tone is strained and unlike the Clone's, forced in a loud cry as hard as he possibly can to make anything work. They're also mediocre (if not accurate) rigs, which adds to the humour, but I unironically love the Droid's voice. But better still is the back and forth, so neither is exposed to the mic for too long to hurt our ears. The song gets increasingly better as they begin to waver on long word notes, too, and the key change. Just, phenomenal. Somehow a freaking meme displays Republic fallout and sells a cover magnificently, all while being a funny "Look at the robot trying to do this" joke.
I've been waiting for them to sing "Somewhere on Kamino" at least once instead of "Somewhere only we know" but this is amazing either way lmao. Great work!
I just felt the biggest rush of nostalgia I’ve ever had listening to this. Like almost on the verge of tears. This was absolutely and beautifully amazing

There's never winners in any wars trust me on that
War - HUH!
…What is it good for?
Palpatines rise to power
Everyone was a pawn to Palps
A clone and a droid lamenting the lost meaning to their existence after the clone wars ended.
Well, this song is called "Somewhere on Kamino" in my head forever now. Thanks for that.
It’s crazy that this song was put on the map 10+ years later because we all saw a emotionally torn Clanka on the battle field, now it’s turned to this masterpiece
Finally, some time after order 66, the clones and the clankers put their differences aside and began a band.
Travelling the galaxy to perform and show that anybody can work together, if they only just try hard enough.
Somewhere only they know...

That made me snort
New sub. My son just showed me this. Fire.
I’m so happy this is amazing
I'm a little shocked what emotional impact this has on me. I'm going through a pretty hard time right now and the lyrics perfectly describe how I felt for the last couple of weeks. Hearing the voices which accompanied me through my childhood takes me back to these simpler times and comforts me a lot. It's bittersweet really, and I can't believe I'm actually saying this about an STAR WARS AI COVER OF A MELANCHOLIC POP SONG.
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river, and it made me complete
[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, simple thing, where have you gone?
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
[Verse 2]
I came across a fallen tree
I felt the branches of it looking at me
Is this the place we used to love?
Is this the place that I've been dreaming of?
[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, simple thing, where have you gone?
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
[Chorus]
And if you have a minute, why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?
Somewhere only we know?
[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, simple thing, where have you gone?
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
[Chorus]
And if you have a minute, why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go?
So why don't we go?
Ooh-aah, oh
[Outro]
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?
Somewhere only we know
Somewhere only we know
Thank you 🙏
Am I the only one waiting for this to drop on Spotify?
You'll never guess what

If only this was the future the universe could have seen. Clones and droids in harmony with order 67.
I love rhe wholesome "roger roger" from the clone to the droid and then the droid returning. It's like a "Good job, i respect you" "thank you" or a "you good" "yeah man"
I keep hearing the original version of this song on YT shorts and I hate it so much but this this is beautiful!
I loved it. It brought tears to my eyes. Also that the Clone Trooper and B1-Battle Droid sang with Light Sabers, instead of actual microphones is hilarious.
Second listen and I just noticed that the microphones are lightsabers 🤣
10/10 animation 👌
Ayee you noticed it 😆
I can’t stop listening
Bro wrote a essay
@@randomstuff34607 Joke aside, it's kinda sad our first instinct when we see somewhat long text is "You tried too hard".
@randomstuff34607 yeah he did lmao, but did you read said essay? He's got good points
@@spidey5108 bro you wrote something better than I could ever write it's a compliment, not a insult
This is beautiful….
1:57 Him yelling that line sounded, dare I say, perfect
I think what makes this seem more tragic is when you realize they are one in the same. Both used solely for war, and they are all replaceable.
In another universe maybe the clones and the droids were homies… both just pawns in a struggle for power
This is way too good needs more views
Thank you. I appreciate it 🙏
@@Jared-Luck you're welcome keep up the good work
This unironically gave me chills
I unironically listen to this
HEAR ME OUT a Star Wars story about a clone being sent into forced retirement after order 66, he finds a group of rouge droids and clones and they start a band together singing about their traumas and happy memories lmaooo
“You’re listening to the Grand Army of the Republic broadcast, the voice of the outer rim. This next song goes out to the Mud-Jumpers of the 224th, slugging it out on Mimban. Keep your heads down and your seals tight, boys.”
Theres me crying at 4am over a Clone and a clanker singing.
That was great
I come back and listen to this, every so often
Bro they really put aside their differences to make this and it sounds really good
I can listen to this a thousand times, it’s so good
I cosplay as a clone trooper, and THIS makes me so happy!!
That's so good. I wish I could get a 332nd armour

@@EdenSandersArt count me in.
Can we talk about how the clones and the droids playing the instruments didn't miss a single note or beat?
Maybe they aren't that different after all.
Stormtroopers would have missed
this song changed my life, so beautiful.
0:44 Droids... 🤣🤣🤣
This is actually so beautiful that I legitimately teared up, all memes aside
I have replayed this 18 times now today.
I can't stop watching

Palpatine if Order 65 was executed instead
ik other people have said this, but this is so much better because both of them were only created to fight each other in a war they didnt cause
0:54 Bro a single click on that saber and he’s dead.
I can already see the history books covering this decade in the future
I just realized the Mics are lightsabers.
