Thank you all so much for your support and subscribing! All the notes, messages, encouragement really means the world to me.

Hello From Laredo Tx.
I'm glad I found this channel. I subbed pretty quickly.
Make the goats and alpacas a little house with pictures of them inside
What about chicken?
This guy is in my opinion: the best person who could’ve bought this town
I agree with you 10000%. He is so passionate about it and he quickly became my favorite youtuber. I hope to visit one day and learn all about the area.
Agreed.
I thought some one else owned it?
@@AngriestAmerican Someone else owned it until this man bought it in around 2018-2019.
@@asgth6147 Brent Underwood has a partner, Jon Bier, and a few other investors. So technically, he is one of the owners, but probably, the majority owner.
I will try to remember to ask that, once I catch up to the latest video and I can get in on the "premier live." 💁🏻♂️🏔️🎥
"You used our rental car for WHAT?!?" -Rental Place #8
“Hey Brent is this HAY back here !!?!🤣🤣🤣
“BRENT WHY DID YOU POOP IN OUR CAR”
Lol! That was my first thought. Then I thought, you never know what people do with those rentals.😆
so long as he vacuumed and made sure it was as clean as the way he got it there's no problem....
just put down a little carpet fresh and vacuum that up and you're good to go.....
Haven’t you guys seen jackass? Pay the extra insurance and you can do whatever the heck you want in a rental car.
Brent showing the alpaca around town and telling him the history actually made my day
Literally what i was thinking ❤️.
Love it. Literally love it.
It's cool he talks to them. It's a way of bonding even if they don't understand the actual words

It is not she pooping in the ground
That is hilarious!
Turns to see his alpacas and realizes one is pooping 😆
hahaha! poop happens!
I love that he keeps the droneshots in where they just crash into cables, walls, mountains, etc.
Yeah... I saw it miss the first cables, I thought "whew!" Then it approached another set, and I thought it might actually miss it, then "bang!"
Just a tiny suggestion - the goats need something to climb on too. Goats love to climb. My suggestion is old big tractor or heavy machinery tires stacked like 1, then 2, then 3, then 2 on the other side, and then 1 - you can fill them with dirt to keep them very secure. I have a friend with a homestead in Idaho who has 8 alpacas and they also used the tire dirt fill-in and mix in all the alpaca and goat poop - it makes the best compost ever - if you can even grow any kind of veggies, either inside or outside. Growing even the smallest pots or plot of land veggies saves on the grocery budget as well and is more healthy. I love Cerro Gordo and hope someday to visit!
Never did I imagine that I would watch a man give an alpaca a tour of a ghost town. :)

we've seen movies I think we can guess what the weirdest thing is....wrapped in plastic, dropped on the side of the road.....for a fisherman to find.....eh such a humble beginning for a show.....lolz
I too worked in the business for years, yes it is pretty weird but yes all kinds of crazy things happen in rental cars. We had a guy go out in the desert and blow his brains out , left a gruesome mess.😰
Hey Brent,
I'm David, I'm 24 and am a photographer from the UK, I came across you videos a couple months back and after the first I was hooked and I watched all of them within a matter of days. Now I wait eagerly each week for the next update from Cerro Gordo! Seinfeld! Love it!
I started watching your vids 2 weeks ago because I was bored, now I watch your vids because I'm fascinated and in awe of your scenery! from an English man 👍🏻🏴🇺🇲
Reminds me of the rental car reservation scene in Seinfeld 😂😂
“See you know how to take the reservation, you just don’t know how to HOLD the reservation. And that’s the most important part, the holding. Anyone can just take em”
As a rental car company employee, I can tell you that when you make your reservation it's through a corporate office not necessarily located in the same area as your rental office. Those rental agents don't know what is available at each and every office location. Often they only know what is available throughout a particular regional area. If the region had 1000 minivans and 20 local offices, the national/centralize rental agent will rent you one on the premise that there should be one available to a particular office. That's where driver crews (what I do) come in and relocate particular vehicles to the individual offices within the region. The problem is when between all the offices the vehicles are already rented or in the shop for maintenance or repair or some other renter extended their rental and now there are none available. They will offer an upgrade, if possible, but you don't necessarily get the same type of vehicle that you want/need. This is frustrating to the customers, local offices and dispatchers of driver crews. (Drivers experience the least impact, because we just move what we're told to and where we're told to move them.)
@@luella2u152 and that's terrible customer service by the company!!!

I love the way you treat your furbabies my friend.

Peace and happiness to you brother.
Here's a tip: tin roofs or galvanized iron typically will rust in most environments that aren't death valley or the salt lakes. Usually in the 30's and 40's they used a rust inhibiting galvanic paint, such as magnesium and later aluminum based paints, which give a lustrous silver finish to that old metal and reduce the anodic corrosion of those surfaces. If that's something you feel would match the aesthetic of Cerro Gordo, you should go for it. (And is period accurate.) You can still find the stuff new through Benjamin Moore, or Sherwin Williams.
So love your enthusiasm for life. See a dog in your life you know a guy and his dog they just need each other. Thanks for the vids.
He said, "They will fold up in the back just fine!" That was so fun! It makes me happy to see you happy!
Did you notice, when they got a few feet thru the backdoor of the minivan, their front legs dropped down and the rest of their body followed. They definitely looked like origami. 2 Cool

I dont know how easily this would be done to keep each alpacas wool separate but it would be so neat if you put a tag on the woolen beanies with the name of which alpaca's wool was used to make it! Yeah! That's what I am thinking too.
Needs more than 1 there.
When you rent a truck again. Try equipment rental places. You could have rented a box truck or even a horse trailer for the pick up. Now you need is a couple of mules and with a wagon. Have the capability to hull materials around the town and surrounding area.
20 Mule Team.
I think you need a herding dog to help alert you to animal dangers and keep the goats and llamas in line.
geese would make better "alarm animals." for defense and all around usefulness though, obviously a dog is the natural choice. :D

We had a goat for a pet growing up! He was indeed a living lawn mower. Which is my my little sister named him Moses, "because he mowses the lawn"!
You need to get a big ole Dog up there! It would alert you to, and help deter any strangers or mountain lions showing up unannounced!
Brent has a love of dogs, be surprising if he doesn't get at least one! Would hate to think any of the young cats being scuppered by the big cats.
@@NinjaXavier think he will get one eventually after they finish hotel, he should really get cats outdoors and teach them to eat food with a loud bell outside, that way they would always return
@@wedemgoyz7678 Actually, the kitties are safer in the house. Too many predator birds like hawks, owls, eagles, etc. Plus, accidents can happen, landing a kitty in a mountain crevice or down a mine shaft.
And a mountain lion or coyote would find them to be a huge 'motivational' reason to enter that living area, especially with no dogs around as deterrents.
Guns are essential when living in remote areas but too often an animal will be killed by the predator before the owner hears the commotion and gets his shot lined up. And a coyote pack or a mountain lion can catch their prey pretty quickly, taking off before you know what even happened.
Best unasked for advice: keep the kitties inside...give them plenty of toys and "kitty trees/apartments" to climb and sleep on...and let them live to a ripe old age instead of dying at a much younger age due to "outside influences".
Few years from now believe me when I say this. This place will be a tourist place and all your efforts will be cherished.
