It sounds silly, but I have been looking for this song for years. As a kid I kept only catching the end of this song on the radio. I'd always get the last 30 seconds and never knew the words. Finally, my roommate found it and I've never been so happy.
It's not silly at all. Back then we didn't have song ID.
They would play 3 songs in a row and then say the name of the song and artist but my mom always turned off the radio before I could find out! 😅

I'm 15 now, and my bro is 23. My bro used to blast music in his room when I was younger and nowadays I still recognize some songs he used to play. A few days ago this song popped into my head, like it was one of those weird times where you literally know nothing but the feeling the song gives you, didn't remember any lyrics or the melody. After searching for hours online, I finally gave up. Tonight at midnight my bro and I were talking and I said, "It's a really happy song," and he said, "Roll to me by del amitri?" and right away I was like, "OMG that's it." Turns out he had the same problem as me and ended up calling a radio station for help back in the day. This is now our song lol. Just hearing it makes me so happy. SORRY had to share that.

Yeah kind of had the same problem looking for this song...heard it on the radio of course but didn't remember any of the lyrics. So I kept listening to the same radio station and it never came on again(at least when I was listening). Then last night I was listening to a 90s pop rock essentials playlist on Spotify. I was thinking to myself, maybe I'll finally find that song on here. And sure enough I did. Just keep looking and sure enough you'll find it.

I remember my mum playing Roll to Me when I was younger (I must have been 6 or 7, I am now in my early 20's), I heard it the other day and was instantly taken back to a memory of me dacing around the kitchen without a care in the world. I grew up and developed a low self esteem and. After hearing the song I realised I didn't care anymore and now I am going to dance whenever I feel like. Thank you Del Amitri for given me a care-free attitude to life.

This brings back happy memories. In the 90s, I was working in Cambodia with my 3 kids in tow. There was not much entertainment, but we got a couple of TV stations from India and Hong Kong. We'd sit and watch the music videos and it was a fun time for us. I think it was the end of purely fun music.

When I was probably 10/11 I heard this song on the radio and I could only remember the lyrics “you’ve been down so long you can hardly see” and since youtube was newer it wasn’t as easy to just type lyrics and find a song so I think it took me a good few weeks to find this song and I don’t regret putting in all that work at all! This is one of my favorite songs ever!

Thank you for posting this. Last time I tried to track down the band that recorded this song, various websites were crediting the Spin Doctors, even though I knew that was wrong. I couldn't remember the name of the band, so I typed in the lyrics I could recall and got soooo annoyed with the search results.

This song exists in a far off corner of my memory. I think it was playing on an ad roll on a nickelodeon cartoon vhs, not sure which one. I only ever remember a few notes, but they instantly give me a nostalgia overload whenever I hear them.

I remember the singer’s head was put on a baby in a stroller and he had a busty hot mama and was rolling around checking out all the other babies hot moms. Great song, makes me miss the 90's a lot at times. The first time I ever heard this song along with my sister, my sister actually thought it was Blues Traveler as the main singer instead of Del Amitri. Hard to believe this song is one of the shortest songs out there and only just a tad over 2 minutes long and it still made it onto the radio stations after its initial release. Bad news lately is I haven't heard anything from Del Amitri or if he's recorded any new musical material since back then in the early 1990's.
When this used to be on the radio all the time in the 90's, for some reason my siblings and I called it an Elvis song. I remember the video to this, too.
