    Whatever this young lady is making it isn't enough. Her voice is so reassuring and comforting. Not direct and demanding as some teachers are. She goes slowly and makes it super easy to understand. She should seriously do audio books on relaxation she'd make a mint. I am not kidding. She has exactly what it takes to be #1 doing this. I listen to relaxation tapes and no one I've heard can beat her! I honestly had a really bad headache when I began watching this video, to learn to wire and tape for crochet flowers. My headache is now gone. Leanne you are a godsend! I learned something and got my headache treated at the same time. Now a subscriber. I will be applying your techniques to crocheted flowers to give them more realism. Thank you so much!! I am totally serious about that audio books that isn't a joke.

    Thanks for the video! I love Carnations in wedding bouquets but every time I use them some of the heads snap off after I have arranged and taped the bouquet. Should I be wiring the carnations if they are for a bouquet? If I do then that means they can't stay in water until I give them to the bride and I live in a hot area.

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  8 років тому +1

      Yes, you must be gentle with carnations. Try keeping them low in the bouquet and cushioning the blooms with foliage.

    Which gauge wire for each flower that you just wired please .

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  Рік тому

      Hello White Orchid, and thank you for watching our show! For most of the flowers in this video, Leanne used 22 gauge wire. As she mentioned earlier, we generally use three different gauges of wire in the Flower School classroom. For heavier flowers, we use 18 gauge wire, which is the thickest size. For very delicate blooms, we use 26 gauge wire, which is the thinnest and lightest wire. In general, 22 gauge is perfect for more wiring and taping projects as it is neither too thick nor too thin and it holds the flowers well. We hope this information helps and we wish you the very best with your floral designs. Hope you have a marvelous week and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

    How long is your program and can it be done online

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  4 роки тому

      Those are both excellent questions, Dora! Thank you very much for asking about our courses. For Basic Floral Design, our in-person program is three weeks in Portland, Oregon. For the on-line program, your lessons are available to you for one year so you can work at your own pace and complete the program in the time you have available. Some students finish quickly while others take their time because of other commitments. Our teachers offer a lot of support and feedback to our students, and we have had students all over the world complete the on-line program. You can find our courses here: www.floraldesigninstitute.com/ If you want to chat with us about the courses, please feel free to give us a call at 503-223-8089 or pop an e-mail to rose@floraldesigninstitute.com. We'll be happy to answer any questions you might have and discuss which option would be best for you. We're delighted that you joined us for this show, and we hope we'll see you again soon. Wishing you all the best! P.S. You might enjoy our resource library too: www.floraldesigninstitute.com/resources.html
