Crazy Screwdriver Experiment

  • I had a crazy idea about how to modify an old screwdriver. Thought I'd play around with it in the shop. I videoed everything so you can watch if you like.
    Have a great day.
    Side note: for some reason, Google deleted "one of my Adsense accounts." Frankly I don't know if I have more than one account and I don't know if this video will even get monetized. I'm not good at keeping up with that kind of stuff. Suffice to say, there might be some upcoming changes to my channel.

    Ben, I am glad I found your channel. I appreciate your trials and tribulations in the tool restoration hobby. Experience is a valuable commodity. You’ll get better. As for painting the spaceships, use blue tape to mask off the ship to get good pinstripes. Never give up. Never surrender! Keep up the good work.

    What a great project! The shape of that tool looks so ergonomic, it's funny how things like that happen some time by accident. Ben I know I have said this before but now you really are starting to have fun in the shop! Every project we do is practice, eventually we get to the point where we have practiced enough that the pucker factor is low. =D Funny story- I used to own a 1951 Pontiac and here in NY you can register old plates from that year if they are in good ORIGINAL shape, no restorations. I had a pair of '51 plates in the garage that belonged to my grandfather so I wanted to use them but they were super rusted. I restored them and knowing the DMV would fail me if the plates looked new I crinkled the paint with a heavy coat of clear and the plates looked 50 years old! It worked! =D

      Yeah. Zero-pucker factor makes it fun! Thanks John.

    GREAT, GREAT Video. The table leg trick is perfect. You have a very creative mind.... Looks like the handle fits your hand like a glove. The 'crinkle paint' is a happy accident. If it dried like that it will add to the 'grip factor'. You may want to turn it into an awl (pointy thing). Do you do the piano background music???
    Michael from Canada

    • @mrbenmall
      @mrbenmall  2 роки тому

      Thank you Michael. No I don't play the piano that well. I acquire production music from UA-cam and other outside vendors ($$) so that I can legally use it in my videos. I like the piano style with the visuals. But I must admit I get tired of using the same cuts - so then I buy more.
