Its not ignored by the people it was meant to touch. A Genius Album which will someday raise it's head and be recognized by those who don't really care but won't be able to deny its Power...
what an amazing and emotional song! All fellas in the comments describe it so wisely. I keep listening this song in my sleep, and/or listening it while missing folks back home. Congrats to 'those bastard souls'
Wow, I have REALLY enjoyed this album! I feel it should have gotten so much more attention. What vocals, Dave Shouse! I always believe Dave Shouse on this album = emotional singing but also w sooo much variety. I’m sorry for the hurt that made him write this album; I think I understand, and it’s not a pretty story (well, starts off grand BUT ..... ). Glad he could write such good music that also helps exorcise the hurt, anger, love. Powerful stuff. Joan Wasser’s violin playing = fantastic. What a mood her playing can create, just great throughout. Love the variety of song types on the album. Think interesting how on other site comments not allowed on “The Wake of the Flood” (people fearful?) “The Last Thing that I Wanted was to Show Up and Blow Your Mind,” “Up to You,” “Sophia Rhodes(? title),” “Have You Seen Her”, etc. = Dave is brave. Good for Dave Shouse to put the truth out there. But what is music w/out truth??? I hope, over the years, somehow, more people will discover this quality album :)
