That was wonderful! The man playing Scrooge was brilliant. He reminds me a little of Crispin Glover. He just nailed the voice and those last scenes. I also really loved Mrs. Cratchit. She had such sincerity.
Same but mine’s isn’t for school my friend is trying start a acting company and asked if I wanted to audition so I am auditioning for belle Update: I got two parts the parts are Martha and Teen Scrooge
Spirit of Christmas present looks like a pimp with that fur. I love the production. As a child I played young scrooge. Throughout my life I have seen every sort Christmas carol plays and movies out there and so far I love this one.
I have probably seen about two dozen adaptations of A Christmas Carol...its one of my all time favourite books. This production is superb. The special effects are remarkable for a college theatre, the set design is clever and quite charming and the acting is excellent, especially the fellow portraying Scrooge. Well done everyone! You have created a Christmas classic!
I watch every single version there is of A Christmas Carol and it’s about time I caught a live play!! LOVED IT, and will definitely be back next year!!! God and spirits willing.
I found this to study roles and such for my school's adaptation of Christmas Carol and my role as Spirit of Christmas Past ( yay for being one of the shortest of the cast. I ended up watching the entire thing at least three times. Fun.
Normally I try to make it to the Goodman Theater for this but couldn’t find the time. I must say this was a very pleasant surprise to come across. It made my evening that much better. Kudos to the whole crew even though it’s from yrs ago it was still a wonderful treat. For that I’m grateful.
So I came to study my part as Mrs. Peartree (one of the narrators) and watched the whole thing and got amazing ideas to tell my theater teacher to use AMAZING WORK! Best version of this play ive found!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this stage production of "A Christmas Carol". One of the better adaptations of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" I have seen, actually (and I've see a lot, since this is my favorite story). I particularly liked the performance by Scrooge and the humor infused into the dialog. Well done!
I’m playing Scrooge and this is really good for studying roles. His performance wasn’t perfect but really useful for helping me with characterisation particularly the voice and his transition throughout the play from ‘evil’ to ‘good’
Study the Albert Finney version. He is NOT evil at all, he is embittered with life...THAT IS A HUGE MISTAKE MOST MAKE. It makes the change in him more plausible and presents a more joyous change for he and the audience. . . . . . ..
It is possibly my favourite version second only to George C. Scott's one and the Michael Caine / Muppets one follows it along with Jim Carrey's, Mickey's and Guy Pearce's.... So it goes like this 1. 1984's " A Christmas Carol" 2. This one 3. Muppets' Christmas Carol/ Mickey's Christmas Carol/2009 Disney's Christmas Carol/ 2019 Guy Pearce's A Christmas Carol
29:53 The air was filled with phantoms all of whom wore chains like marley. They seek to interfere for good in human matter and had lost the power forever!
Props to the guy playing Scrooge in this show! I bet he’s much younger than he’s made to act and look in this show. So talented!!!
girl we know that's your son bitch
Sincerely, the best adaptation I’ve ever seen of a Christmas Carol. Bravo. Absolutely stellar
That was wonderful! The man playing Scrooge was brilliant. He reminds me a little of Crispin Glover. He just nailed the voice and those last scenes.
I also really loved Mrs. Cratchit. She had such sincerity.
I laughed so hard when Scrooge sang joy to the world when Bob is late.
Bravo to all who did such a good job in this play.
In all my years ,,,,,,,,I dont think I have ever saw a better performance of this timeless classic,,,,,,,,,,Wonderful Job everyone.
I believe that this story gives people an important meaning that money cannot buy you freedom, friends or a family of your own but your own doom.
I watch this every year and love it!
I am doing ' A Christmas Carol' For my Christmas Play this year for school, this really helped

A GREAT PLAY AND IT'S SO GOOD THIS COLLEGE TAKES SUCH AN INTEREST IN THIS GREAT STORY WITH GREAT ACTING!!
Bravo thank you for posting this, we should all keep Christmas year round.
I, started watching for makeup ideas for our play coming up and ended up watching the whole thing! I love this!
i laughed at 2:16 when the body made a thudding sound it kind of reminded me of a scene in the movie little shop of horrors
Amazing Scrooge!!! Best one I’ve seen even Jim Carrey didn’t do it as well
Jim, well, is a bit overrated!
Animated versions or CGI, like Carrey's are never as good as live action. Disney should have done a live action one!
Awesome play! I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for putting it on UA-cam.
I like this show
Thank you for putting this on UA-cam
My school had a field trip to Russell sage college theatre to watch the show!it was so good!i wish it never ended!
Amazing cast...Thank you all!!
I found this to study roles and such for my school's adaptation of Christmas Carol and my role as Spirit of Christmas Past ( yay for being one of the shortest of the cast. I ended up watching the entire thing at least three times. Fun.

I love Marley and the reverb used on his voice.
The sets are amazing

A few years ago I had to direct this play in n my school and thanks to this amazing play, It helped me to direct the one of my school

33:46 when your hyped up after being yelled at by parents then imagining what you'll say to them if you had the courage to...
whoever that guy playing scrooge is he's excellent for the role
"Children lose in the streets, what is this? America?"
I laughed at that line so much I almost died!

This book/play/movie is the best book/play/movie ever! And the ones who played Scrooge and Bob Cratchit was off the top 🙌
I’m playing Scrooge and this is really good for studying roles. His performance wasn’t perfect but really useful for helping me with characterisation particularly the voice and his transition throughout the play from ‘evil’ to ‘good’

I love how Scrooge was laughing while pretending to be mad at bob
Great interpretation of the ghost of Christmas Present .
The actor playing Scrooge seems just like Harry Brandon who played Barnaby in March of the Wooden Soldiers.
Just played the Ghost of Christmas Present .
I was rewatching Doctor Who, and "The Christmas Carol" was mentioned, so I just had to watch a production of it, and this one is awesome so far!
Excellent work
I have to go to a field trip to watch a play of this
Amazing! That is a wonderful production! It’s so good I had to watch the whole thing!
1:36:52 Funny when he grabs 2 hands, they would naturally hold even tighter to their friends hands.
Splendid!

Out Of The Three Ghosts I Gotta Say The Ghost Of Christmas Future Is My Favorite I Mean He Scares Scrooge Into Being Reformed And Change His Heart
You have to hand it to these people who went on stage.

Oh and also, the 32 down voters don't have a soul.....

Very well done !!
I did played as ebenezer scrooge at hillcrest high school
17:25 why does that make me laugh so much?
I am in this play at my high school!
Really😯
It is possibly my favourite version second only to George C. Scott's one and the Michael Caine / Muppets one follows it along with Jim Carrey's, Mickey's and Guy Pearce's....

1. 1984's " A Christmas Carol"

29:53 The air was filled with phantoms all of whom wore chains like marley. They seek to interfere for good in human matter and had lost the power forever!
Very enjoyable
Playing the ghost of Christmas yet to come must have been really hard to act
I saw a play called the Wasn't like this through it was different
Yes, Jacob Marley was dead as a door nail to begin with and there’s no doubt about that.
