At my gym, I see a lot of black and Hispanic people. A lot of black older people as well. I'm happy our community is trying to be healthy and active. Out of my peers and family, I am the only one who consistently works out. A lot of people let themselves go. I definitely need to stop procrastinating in my life overall. 🙏🏾

I was out getting that money yesterday & spelt in a little longer then I would like so I ant feel like going to workout. Soon as I got in at 9pm I went out walking for 45 mins. NO EXCUSES. Even though I wanted so bad to not do anything.
I always tell myself “just 5 minutes - that’s it !” And 95% of the time that 5 minutes will turn to 10 then into 30 or longer ! It’s just tricking your mind. I do the same for my gym sessions. I go every Mon, Wednesday and Friday regardless …I tell myself even if it’s just waking in and stretching that’s enough but Guess what once I get started I almost always smash it. Some days it’s just not there ( especially us being women 🙄 ) and that’s ok - I give myself grace. Just showing up for that 5 minute walk or 5 min stretching turns into so much more & has really helped me so much In my fitness journey! You got this ! 💪🏽

Thank you so much for speaking on black women not working out! Sadly enough, it has a lot to do with the maintenance of our hair. Also, from what I’m noticing the benefits of the GLP-1 injections can be achieved with fasting. I know fasting may not be a viable option for all but if you can, please consider this over medication management. I’m currently doing OMAD and it’s been great!
3Bs🔥🔥🔥🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿I know intermittent fasting has been a lifesaver, my skin be glowing, mind healthy, can think more clearly and doing body cleanses and getting my body to naturally detox has helped reprogram how it allows and repells e g sugar intake and junk , it tells me when I've reached a certain limit and cannot consume anything else, sometimes when its self detoxes, i cant even eat any junk food including greasy stuff. I fully agree with you Mr. Gaskins. We gotta take care of our temples so they can take care of us and be there for us in the long term. I work out everyday unless I am traveling for work but the problem that I have with it is my hair. I can't wash my hair everyday but it is drenched with sweat. I can't keep putting heat in my hair either. Thought of protective styles but can't wear weave or wigs. So far it's been a convenient ponytail 😂😂😂😂 This could be the reason you don't see many of us sisters in the gym.
🤣 at you talking about that 5mi a day. Hearing a man your age that was an athlete talk about it like you just did makes me feel so much better about it, because...phew! It aint easy to keep up, especially after a long day of work! It is the simplest routine and the one that has worked for me though.🙂
If you have the physical capacity and set a goal, like doing a 5K race (walk or run), it can really help motivate you to exercise and eat healthier to get ready for it. There's nothing like having a sense of accomplishment. Not only can it improve your health, your physique-- it also is a confidence and self-esteem booster! Start slowly and work your way up. Every step counts, and doing something is better than doing nothing!Bodies are built for MOVEMENT!!! 🏃♀️➡️

I’ve seen your videos on men cheating and how a man’s desire for sex is different from woman. However, I find way more woman practicing abstinence than men, and it’s a bit discouraging to know the percentage of men on this journey is extremely low. That 2% is addressing 55 plus specifically as it relates to our grown offspring dishonorable behavior towards us, our grown offspring trying to to use and abuse us for our finances and when we have to make a decision to put our grown children out because we don’t want to have a Marvin Gaye situation or they have rose up on us so we had no choice but to put them out and now they cut us off because they couldn’t live with us and run over us. Also, those grown kids who got on drugs because the biological father or biological mother (and their spouses ran their homes with drugs in it), we were The last to find out too late and now our children or either on drugs, in and out of jail or in rehab and they cut us off or it’s the other way around were we had to cut off our grown children who are between 23 and 35).
Most of the black women I know don't want to mess up their hair. They aren't trying to sweat out those expensive lace-front wigs, etc. So, they might walk, but they never do any strenuous excercises.

Get braids. You can do Knotless box braids or snitch braids with a bun or ponytail.
@Micahsophia I wish I could. It's something in weave and braid hair that I am allergic to and had to take it out the same day.

Yes the 10k a day is good rule of thumb our society is too stationary I think that’s the term. If you can’t do 10k go for 8k
