Think, if Coker wasn't kept out of the endzone by an insane play by the LB on that last play, Young would have had the franchise record for TDs in a game. Absolutely the franchise guy and Canales has even said so. The turnaround from Week 2, through the benching, and resurgence since he returned as the starter is just insane. Netflix documentary level insane
That 1st and 25 hole shot was the kind of throw that will keep defensive coordinators up at night, because very few QBs in the league would even attempt something with that level of anticipation. He hit his back foot on 2 steps and absolutely ripped a 30 yard dime with zero hesitation.
getting batted down has NEVER been about size. its been about predictability, and release speed. And Bryce is ELITE at keeping everyone guessing. 'Experts' need to figure that out.
@@fantasypoliceAye I'm with you on Caleb they don't run the offense that's predicated to his strength. and if people watched they would see most of his big plays are just BARELY missed
This comment brought a tear to my eye. Warrior tears of course. They said he couldn't take an NFL hit and he'd lead the league in balls batted down. He leads the league in "having BALLS" though 😊
35:22 before Bryce reaches the end zone you see him point to the receiver which makes the defender in front of Bryce hesitate giving Bryce more cusion to reach the end zone. I love seeing little things like that work 👏
As a panthers fan, i am SO relieved to see Bryce starting to live up to potential, we've had a long, hard ten years since that 2015 season, and after last season and the start of this season it seemed like Bryce was a bust and we were in for another 5+ years of irrelevance. But man, it feels so good to finally have some hope. Bryce has improved every single week since coming off the bench. This last draft class has so much potential it's crazy, to see Legette, Trevin Wallace, Jatavion Sanders and Jalen Coker (a UDFA!) looking good despite some rookie troubles was amazing. I'm super bummed out about Jonathan Brooks because he's got one hell of a long road to relevance but even so this has the makings of one of our best drafts in a LONG time. The team finished 5-12 but we WOULD have beat the Eagles and Bucs without game ending drops that would have been touchdowns and had a shot at beating KC, and that's while having LITERALLY the worst scoring defense in NFL history. If we can fix up that defense the way they fixed the offense this year this team will be SCARY. Can't wait to see what the future holds.
I don’t see how we could pay for an established top WR and afford the type of improvements we need to improve what was statistically the worst defense in NFL history. Especially when they will be running the exact same scheme. The amount of improvements needed on defense I think sort of just leave us hoping that Coker or Leggette can develop into a true #1 ballhawk receiver at this point.
@@FreefallSC I agree. I don’t see a big name WR coming to CAR this year on a cheaper contract (only thing we can afford ATM) until Bryce proves he’s this version of himself for a full season. We’re tight on cap space, and Dan Morgan/Canales retained Evero because they acknowledge that in their desperate attempts to save Bryce Young and get him help on offense last year (signing big name OL, drafting WR, RB and TE, and trading for a Johnson was still an attempt even if it didn’t work), they had to really neglect our defensive playing staff. Let some key guys leave in FA, replaced them with cheap JAGs, and one big name they did try end up signing was hurt most of the year (Wonnum). Sprinkle in the injuries to Derrick Brown and Shaq Thompson? It’s not a surprise we finished with a historically bad defense. So I wager they look to bank on the offense to keep on this “developing” path and they focus all their major offseason resources back into defense.
This performance was a lot better than I realized watching the game. It seemed like everything was open and that's true on quite a few plays, but this was a really good performance.
I think I'm the reason you put in the earmuff animation, which I love by the way! My kids are older now and they can probably watch this video on Bryce Young, however I appreciate the bleeps for the next generations. My favorite part of the video was actually the message at the end. A lot of people gave up on him, and he was in the worst situation last year. I appreciate your honesty about young quarterbacks and what they can go through. We are definitely on the uprise. ⤴️ Thanks JT. ✌🏻
I'm very excited to see Young next year, and Legette. Honestly same thing with him, he was a more "raw" prospect and yes, everything has not been perfect in year 1, but you see the flashes of excellence that you think once the rough spots get ironed out, we could be on to something. Coupled with a year 2 breakout for 0Sanders, this team could be kinda nasty soon.
You said it just right in the closing comments. The expectation is that these 1st round QBs walk in and turn around dysfunctional organizations. If they struggle fans and the media are quick to point the finger at the kid and not the office. Super happy to see Bryce flash in the last few weeks and I hope he can sustain it. It is hard to come into a job where the expectations are astronomical and you're set up to fail.
Part of me is thinking one should never draft a QB with the first 5 picks. It's too much pressure. Draft another position. Of course the issue is that another team will take him
Every week I trick myself into thinking I’ll listen to this while I work and then I just stop everything and watch for 48 minutes. Loving the Bryce content.
JT absolutely hates the Falcons. After 1-2 videos of Arthur smiths offense with Ridder, it broke him. He will never break down another Falcons game. He hasn’t reviewed MP9 since preseason. He won’t now.
41:00 Bryce saw the defense formation and called out to Jalen to change his route(heard him go “ayo Jalen or hey Jalen” then I couldn’t understand the rest😂
In the OT time frame, the defense looks flat-footed and downright exhausted! It looked like Judon was almost hoping it was a TD. He was about to walk off the field. Like ready to call it a day😂 Bryce, great job!!

Oh yeah, that’s if we don’t get bit by the injury bug again. 😅
