Hey dev here. Great video thank you for the feedback :) , some quick extras to add, Pacific planned in for the roadmap late this year, the graphics have been entirely overhauled from grass, trees, buildings, lighting, map overhauls and more :)
Love your game! And Thank you for letting us play as the french btw
Still not topping HLL.
@@IndigoJoe28just a casual, stay in HLL
@@eenis1281 have fun with your 2 barely full servers and clunky game.
@@IndigoJoe28 I will! Now run back to your adhd COD/fortnite games and enjoy it ya filthy casual
The 40 vehicles in the update came from the mod they bought. I also gotta add, Squad 44's audio design (besides footstep sounds) is miles better than HLL, idk how many audio reworks that game has had but it sounds like muted poop compared to S44.
S44 audio is definitely good but there’s been a few times where enemy footsteps are non existent in S44
@@iVETAnsolini besides footsteps
Yes, I picked up HLL for a round after switching to Squad and Squad44. While beeing in cover I reported a truck driving by only to find out, when I left the position, it was a Phanter sounding like one. Silent engine noise and no track sound what so ever...
HLL just does not hit as the Squadgames do.
Yeah, especially when it comes to guns. The guns in HLL sound like ass
One thing I never really liked with hll audio is ambient gunshots instead of how every explosion, rifle, and machine gun you hear in the squad games was directly caused by someone
Big thing with Squad44 is the mod scene. The Offworld devs bought out 2 major mods (Crete and Project Variety) and implemented into the main game. Its good as mods are what players want to have. Hopefully we see the Chapter Red (Ostfront) mod implemented soon. Plus with 100 players and Iwo Jima before the year ends, things are looking good. The milsim/realism is a big barrier for most HLL players that would otherwise jump onboad the S44 train.
Things are looling very good for squad44 imo.
They didn't really buy the Crete Mod.
The Crete modders were simply the ones hired by Offworld to become the new Devs.
My issue is lag and bugs. i dont know why but the emplaced machine guns are almost unusable and i have more lag than in any other game. even local servers
I think a bigger problem is the fact that Squad44 is only available on PC
At least for me, I don't have a PC that can run such a game and they are really expensive
@@pilum3705 That is so smart hiring people that allready made content for free out of passion for modding and wanting a good ww2 game. Now they are living their dream. I just hope their publishers are not pushing them around making them do things or set unrealistic deadlines and stuff like that.
I think they both offer something different, so I'm happy for them to co-exist.
But what I do want is Squad 44 to really push on and give the HLL Devs a kick up the arse because they need it. And vice versa
Some good ole competitive capitalism
Exactly. Competition brings best results.
T17 has now decided it was a good idea to price HLL at the triple A level of $50 shortly after releasing an overpriced $12 DLC with mediocre skins, smh just buy Squad44 fellas.
Well, it kinda scratches a different itch.
Within the ww1/2 genre, we have arcade fps (eg soldier of fortune, battlefield), arcade-like large scale fps (rising storm) and mil sim fps (post scriptum, squad).
HLL plays middle ground between mil sim and arcade-like. Similar to rising storm 2 but leaning closer to mil sim.
Sounds like they're trying to kill it off.
Why does off world Studio not bring the game to console?

Something you missed was that the Pacific update has been announced in their new road map.
offworld actually officially teased the pacific theatre coming to squad 44 somewhere in the next 6 months
they didn't give any kind of time frame.. they said its very early in the development
@biro9328 if you actually read/watched the announcement, they said by end of year
@@biro9328 The roadmap announcement they made contains the next six months. Their pacific theatre update is also included in that roadmap.

It's like there's a limited number of players who like realistic shooters, then of that there's fewer who prefer WWII realistic shooters, then of that there's fewer who prefer a more realistic WWII realistic shooter. So basically whatever it does, it will always be niche but I'm glad to see that it's definitely not dead and is coming back in big ways
SQ44 has mostly only maybe 5 or 6 populated servers at a time for me... of that maybe 2 or 3 are actually somewhat full.
You can’t play a milsim and complain about it not feeling as smooth as an arcade like shooter.
Thanks, finally someone with common sense-
Being smooth and polished isn't mutually exclusive with military simulation. Pretty certain alot of flight combat sims literally do this all the time with little issue. So idk man.
@@monarchtherapsidsinostran9125
No one ever talked about it being polished, it referred to being "smooth" (as in easy) as an arcade shooter.
@graustreifbrombeerkralle1078 nevermind then carry on x.x
Yeah agreed.
Funny that every milsim i play is a spaghetti of code, always stuttering. Be it HLL or Squad44, is it too much to play at a stable framerate?
Squad 44’s audio and animations blow Hell Let Loose’s away.
Oh, and they’re adding the Pacific Theater, first map will be Iwo Jima.
Unless Squad 44 is coming to console it's not Knocking off HLL.
Exactly again
That is the only reason HLL has a high player base!
Want to play in a cinematic WW2 realism shooter that feels like Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan with a free mod community? Play Squad 44.
Want to play the same old WWII formula from the ‘00s with EA DLC content? Play Hell let Loose.
doesnt matter, Hell let Loose wont die because squad 44 is not on xbox or playstation
@@JimmyGondolainb4 thr massive shift to PC gaming as traditional console gaming and their support networks have declined significantly in quality and population
@TXJarhead As someone who owns both a ps5 and gaming pc I personally enjoy console gaming more. Having HLL on pc and ps5 it's more enjoyable on ps5. I do plan to try squad 44 on pc and see how it is soon.
@@TXJarhead PCs capable of running games like Post Scriptum come with a bullshit price tag. Consoles will never truly decline away for that sole reason. You can get a new gen console brand new for half the price of a upper middle class gaming PC. It's actually stupid.
Idk what he's talking about saying the game doesn't look good and is clunky. Compared to hll squad 44 looks better and plays less stiff and clunky.
Yeah i also dont get it. It actually feels like a finished and even somewhat polished game with a common artstyle and atmosphere. Especially in comparison to hll.
Amd uniformes and guns are historically accurate
Playing at 4K you really notice HLL shortcomings in visuals when compared to SQ44, pop in is rly bad, certain assets look like cod 2 from even a small distance, lighting is quite bad, textures are quite low res
Lol Squad 44 looks worse than HLL and also is worse optimized. Also it has several game breaking bugs that haven't been fixed since 2019 or so
@@SONNENKVLT cant confirm this. As already said for me at least hll feels way worse.
There are not many players who are playing this game now - around 500 - 800 only. Comparing to Hell Let Loose where are +4000 players.

Yes, but people wanna change.
HLL = casual experience addictiv.
SQUAD44 = immerssiv / tactical FPS gameplay.
experience curve is hardcore in SQUAD44.
You are bored in HLL quickly because it is EZ PEZ lemon SQUEEZIE.
it is like comparing CoD and Armed Assaut
What the hell are you worry about? Just buy squad 44
No because HLL is just overall more casual and appealing to the average gamer. HLL also has the console market right? Either way S44 is on the come up and looking great. But it definitely ain't killing HLL.
Yes true, like HLL cant kill BF5 and so on. Casual games attract always more gamers. Try play best ww2 flight sim IL2, less than 1k players and there is nothing wrong with game, it just isnt casual friendly
@@AndyP998 yep, same with Project Reality !
It is familly gaming, not boring casual trash gaming
Hell let loose isnt even casual. It just isn't crackhead level hardcore trying to make everything exactly like real life. It takes a realistic approach to the ww2 battlefield. Realistic gunplay, large scale battles, and stunning (and flabberghastingly realistic) maps.
And calling Post Scriptum "crackhead level hardcore" isn't an insult. It's great to have games like that. But Post Scriptum being that kind of hardcore shooter doesn't make hell let loose your average casual shooter
@@appllwithmemes S44 definitely aint crackhead level hardcore. That can only be given to arma which i dont even play. The biggest thing to me about s44 vs HLL is the gunplay of HLL feels like crap compared to squad and s44

Everyone should try this game. It is so good.
Listen to Squadleaders and you’ll usually have a better experience.
no, theyre 2 intrinsically different games. HLL is less sim, more semi casual hardcore requiring less interaction and comms -
squad and post scriptum are straight up hardcore games that require heavy teamwork and comms
How so?
@@ribspreader123 (in comparison to squad) Resource economy and setting up spawnpoints is simpler and easier in HLL. Weapon sway, recoil, and suppression is less intense (allowing for more lone wolf/squad plays). No stamina system effecting sprinting and aiming.
Every match I played in Squad 44 people didn't say a single thing, while it has happened plenty of times in HLL where I got a talkative squad. The only instance people said anything at all in Squad 44 was when I played in a tank crew. Perhaps I'm in the wrong server or something.
I'm sure the people on Squad44's 5 active servers will love it.
yup.
it is cool !
I hope tomorrow players will open their eyes, left HLL and move on the best WWII immerssiv tzcticzal FPS of the XXI' century !
Squad 44 needs to have the Eastern Front first by adding the Soviets, I feel if the devs do want to have multiple theaters of war they must add the Pacific front which in my opinion would add alot of new players. We haven't gotten a good Pacific front in those types of games since Rising Storm I back in 2011-12
2:37 That is an Ostwind, a german AA vehicle. The Nebelwerfer 41 and 42 (Those you seen often in movies or TV series) is a Rocket propelled artillery, its similar to the British Land Mattress.
I'm sorry I don't want to be annoying, its Just that I love history and talking about It.
Gotta say calling the sound design just okay is silly. I've never played a more immersive sounding game in my 40 years. The sound in Squad 44 is incredible.
That part about clunkiness and sound design really made it seem like they never even played the game and just went off of other people's content
OWI needs to promote it more
Both Squad:44 and HLL are made in unreal engine 4. The reasons we don’t have these mechanics in game is because BM stopped actually developing the game after the “full release” and instead settled for just adding rather then fixing or building the base game. Hopefully we get this stuff added but T17 has less then 20 people working on the game so at this point I have no hope
I remember critizising exactly this feature bloating in the hll subreddit and getting downvotes for it in the early days of the game. Ive switched to post scriptum since then and never looked back. Of course i tried hll again but it still feels as unpolished and clunky as some years ago if not worse.
How do you know the number of people working on the gane? They're a big company with many games.
@@IndigoJoe28 The Community Manager for the game has confirmed the number
Unless squad 44 comes to consoles and becomes cross-platform, it'll never touch. Hell. Let loose
i personaly think the update was awesome i wasnt expecting it to be this big ... but... in my honest opinions... the biggest problem with squad 44 is the server queus .. its hard for you to get in to a server that it isnt full and have less then 10 people waiting in queu in front of you and the servers that you can get in are fully empty ... so you either wait half an hour to log in to a match obly to get disconnected or something else happen or you join an empty server only to see other people come in and start troling lol
i honestly thing they should find a way to fix this idk i dont have any creative solutions but i think that this is one of the main issues if not the biggest one that drives most people away from the game
I like how bold action works like Red Dead 2, the whole double-clicking to rack the bolt thing.
As a HLL Veteran I'm in a big disappointment. I remember playing it from its first days, it was so good.. Post Scriptum was dead game back then, there were few players but you were almost never able to join to some normal server due locked server or only another nations as FR, GR, IT.. People wasn't so nice when you joined and asked if you can be there even if you speak EN. HLL then started to falling apart and that's due to it's buggy updates, higher prices of DLCs which some only adding one helmet. It's breaking my hearth to say it but.. I now recommend to you all to try Squad 44, the way it's heading is.. is really good!
15 hours on HLL, 1000 on Post Scriptum, 5000 on SQUAD.
Tactical = cooperation = communication = nation.
Nationalist server = good gameplay (communication ++)
Garbage server (italian, turish, german, US, texan, swedish, chinese on the same server ) = bad gameplay (missunderstood, toxic gameplay)
This is the way.
Be respectfull is important.
Also.
3000 player base game = pure, correct gameplay
30K or 100K+ = melting pot = low and bad gameplay
I have spoken.
@@TUROCK320 Thank you for you info and I will and only can agree with you! I am playing S44 now for some days and that feeling from it never gets old, so yea!
You could probably do a video "Could Hell Let Loose's new update revive Squad 44" and it would still be the same outcome 😅😅😅
I love milsim stuff (im a huge arma player) but I do need a reason to play and for me is having XP and levels. Just gaining new level with a new patch with the rank on the shoulder would make it. I dont need weapon or cosmetics to unlock.. just a way to show that I have experience in the game.
Red Orchestra 2 had it and it was great (uniform, weapon, rank..)
I don’t think Squad44 has enough steam to overtake HLL. I still remember when it came out as Post Scriptum, and I remember how it died off. Also, HLL and Squad seem similar on the face of it, but they are targeted towards two different audiences.
Also, for better or worse, HLL has a stream of game pass players who get to try it cheap through gamepass.
Gamepass was a sort of double edged sword, sure you got new players etc. However the quality of the majority of the players were subpar at best which caused the experienced players to get annoyed at new players that didn't communicate, coordinate and participate at the squad level in mind, which has created the phenomenon where people get banned from severs for not being lvl 50+, and the experienced players going all on one team and steam rolling the other which hurts the community greatly.
1:20 HLL should add stationary machine guns. It should work how you build an anti tank gun for the AT class when you use a wrench to build the anti tank gun. For the stationary machine guns 1 person shoots the machine gun while the 2nd person belt feeds the machine gun. I would love stationary machine guns to be added to HLL
The only problem w/ Post Scriptum (Squad 44) is the missing of customizable itens... I mean, they randomly put different skins on spawned soldier, but the lack of customizable skins AND weapons kit that HLL actually has doesn't incentive the player to play to earn progression... Thats and the game being a little bit heavier (*on the time it was realize) was the only obstacle on him to make the best FPS on markef
The new update sold me on Squad 44 and it's a fantastic experience! Can't wait for update 1.4!
Until squad 44 comes to console, it’s not killing HLL
bro, its been figthing HLL on PC for years and failing. its a good game but its not a HLL killer....
Squad44 is so good, its still got some things to fix but its coming along.
Bought Post Scriptum back when its new then i came back last week got a nice battle in foy i think or haguenau istg the firefights from mgs and rifles without a clear sight is just “chef’s kiss”
The foliage problems in HLL and the lack of communication from the community are why I play Squad & 44.
hell let loos is a completely different game its for the larger mostly casual audience seeing the videos come out saying "COULD THIS KILL HELL LET LOOSE !?!?!" is weird because each of the pervious updates haven't killed hell let loose
I would like that for Squad 44... and I'm writing this as an HLL player... The aiming in HLL is similar to the CS haptics...and that's also a big problem, mainly players come to farm kills and then upload their 120 kills... it has nothing to do with teamplay... and a few classes in hll just don't make sense so... there I like the game mechanics in squad 44 better... takes more getting used to but makes a lot more sense... and lot more immersive! and my god these explosions at squad look so cool... and this content that is constantly coming out for this number of communities?! Can't you just swap the number of players for a week... kind of like the series "Wife Swap"... an extremely important point in Squad is the map size and this large fleet... in HLL the caps are usually close together... I think the map size in Squad is more optimal... especially for playing with tanks!
The Hell Let Loose maps are all at minimum a square Kilometer and the points are completely random. They aren't usually close together and the maps are very much big enough
I wish HLL, and Squad44 could have a baby. Squad Let Loose 44. The gameplay and mechanics of Hell Let Loose, with all the content of Squad 44.
I think both are different enough for them both to exist and be enjoyed. For realism Squad 44 has the upper edge, but it will demand too much patience and teamplay for some players. As a 1000+ hour SL and CO in HLL I must admit that the squadplay feels more complete in Squad 44 since every role matters, something which really sucks about HLL and medics for example.
Just waiting for some optimizations to come to the game as the framerate does make me feel limited in playing well at some moments on some maps. Been great to see the community and full servers grow, I hope the devs can keep working on this with the same angle (love for the game and listening to community rather than just monetizing bs).
If Squad 44 brings in player controllable airplanes, it’s game over for HLL
My main issue with Squad44 is that the changes made from Squad changed the way the Advance and Secure game mode plays too much. Not as much fun and cohesive, so then pretty much every single server is running invasion or offensive, which are far too similar and really detract from the teamplay experience in my opinion. It is most often just two teams smashing into each other in a completely unorganized and disjointed fashion. Almost may as well not have sections/squads and voice comms because everyone ends up doing their own thing most of the time because it is just chaos over a small area. May just be me, though. I personally have never cared much for invasion even on Squad, and will choose AAS every time
In Squad44's latest devlog they said they will slow down regular updates because they are working on the Pacific theater
The vehicles was not in Post Scriptum's data, old devs were so lazy thats why the game died. The vehicles are coming from a popular community mod PSRM. It is a higly realistic version of the game implementing real-life into the game for more exclusive experience. Therefore it is the communities duty to keep the game alive and decide when it is dead.
8:16 "graphically it is not a good looking game and sound design-wise, it does a pretty good job"
Maybe the character models aren't ultra triple A level (but who really cares when he's 100m away), but the explosions and lighting are phenomenal
The sound design is also incredibly immersive, from tank shell ricochets, bullets whizzing over your head and stuka sirens screaming above you, I can't think of a game with better sound design
Stuka sirens are historically inaccurate for any map set past 1940
Hell let loose is on consoles so in my opinion it is not going to die anytime soon
The reason Hell Let Loose is in the condition it is in is because the new management team at Team 17 thought it would be a good idea to get rid of all their in-house developers. Everything is farmed out now and you see the results.
I was avid hll player, yesterday I tried S44 and its so much better. Comunication is better, gameplay is better, less running simulator, wayyyy better vehicle gameplay, wayy better explosions and chaoes, sound is also better.
need to release on consoles
As always great to see coverage for the game. Give it the hype it deserves. You should REALLY check out the Realism Mod and partake in some events. It's the true pinnacle. We've had all these things for a really long time like all these vehicles and an absolute ton of additional features that I think you would appreciate. The mod is years old and has a dedicated team of developers who have arguably been the most active and consistent mod team for S44. Reach out!
Squad 44 needs to be ported to current gen consoles for players to spike big time
with crossplay
I think they have two very different goals. Also Team17 has not got a single update right.
It is a lot better in so many ways. I hope it continues to be revived at least to be a direct competitor and get a bigger community
I maybe interested if they make the scenery better ie Buildings, ground textures and what is it with the colours? doesn't look real.
I will stick to HLL for now.

@@TUROCK320 you do realize hell let loose was made with a small dev team and very limited resources, and still sold for alot of money, they wouldnt need that much money to make a rlly good game, just competent people passionate about their project and not held back by shareholders and time frames theres alot more to it then that but, its rlly not as crazy as "500 million dollars" to make a decent game there will come a time when people will realize, the tactical realistic shooter genre is the future and it would be wise for the top game producing companies to invest into make good games, tarkov btw has loads of players, and many other similar games.
The Decemeber pacific update shows they'll be trying to bring in new players with that popular setting. Game is great overall and it's only getting better now
lowkey Squad 44 is its own game as is Hell Let Loose. The only thing that can kill Hell Let loose is itself I doubt there will be another game like it.
Im allready in love with Squad 44. I got the game and played like 10 hours straight and so much stuff happened. I was sitting in a bush and shot 2 guys then had a bayonet fight with the third one then saw a Tank being hit by a tank shell only to have it ricochet off and going straight into another vehicle a few meters behind the tank while player controlled rocket artillery was hitting everywhere around us. Hell let loose constant free weekends also attracted a lot of players that dont even communicate or play somewhat tactically, Squad 44 does not have this problem (yet) i have only seen good squad leaders and all the players work together while listening to eachother. Definetly worth the money!
Players are definitely sick of T17, but until Squad hits multiplatform HLL has nothing to worry about.....unfortunately. But then again, T17 trying to increase the price of a game riddled with game breaking bugs that they don't fix, T17 will probably kill their own game. If I payed $60 today for HLL to find out that my character will randomly spawn not being able to run, crouch, reload or jump, comms stop working until you switch servers and the menu screen doesn't even work when trying to leave a server unless you pull up stats first and then leave the server, my automatic thought would be what a garbage game.
They didnt just rebrand. They improved performance MASSIVELY
The distinctions between these two games are evident, of course. The gameplay is different. I prefer HLL because of its freedom for players. However, Squad 44 still has a more dynamic sound. (except for the sound of walking).
the only way for squad 44 to kill HLL is if HLL stops updating the game, or if squad 44 comes to both consoles. More people have access to HLL and HLL is easier for casual players.
I think that with "mil-sim" FPS games it is still pretty much a brand new, untested, unverified teritorry as for players as it is for devs because the moment you, as a dev decide to make a mil sim shooter, that is imho the moment when you have to go into percentiles, as in: how much percent of a game do I want to be realistic (mil-sim) and how much percent do I want it to be somewhat arcadey in the sake of FUN?
I think that it is not hard to make a mil-sim game: one shot kills, no HUD, no crosshairs, characters so weak so that they are almost anti heroes, no team related HUDs or UIs, etc etc - basically all the stuff that makes one scream: "this is so unfair and NOT FUN!"
So the question that imho remains is: "how do I / we make a FUN, yet HARDCORE simulation shooter?".
Love both games! Sadly Squad 44 is borked on Linux due to EAC not implemented to support it in Linux by developers. Really sad for those of us who broke away from Microsoft due to W11 privacy intrusions.
Offworld needs to work on the tanks, there's still many bugs plagueing the handling of vehicles and armor squads are extremely limited. Good luck ever managing to squad up with friends lol
Any man who must say, "I am the king" is no true king". It's the same for video games.
Honestly the fire fights in HLL have always been better than Squad imo, HLL really gets the "frontline" gameplay down because of the way the cap points can wipe out spawns.
I'm at 550 hours now on HLL and it sucks to see the game just get destroyed by the T17 team. The T17 team has been WAY too greedy with their DLCs, and I haven't been supporting them for a while now and wont be until they actually start fixing the game. Squad44 for me has been ok, I don't like the way it looks, the community has been 20/80, 20% willing to help and guide when you have questions and the other 80% just talks down to you. I remember in HLL (prior to T17) we would always help others and help guide them no matter the situation cause at the time we wanted the community to grow but now in HLL no one uses a mic anymore and does NOT want to communicate at all, so the matches have been torture.
The new content had been created long before OWI bought Post Scriptum. The Mercury Arts devs simply wouldn't allow the previous owner to have any of it, as he wouldn't pay them. Then he sacked them all. I think that it is hilarious that HLL players are no longer crowing about PS being dead and now are trying out Squad 44. The learning curve is a bit too steep for most of them though. Personally, after almost 2,000 hours on Post Scriptum, I stopped playing soon after the armour update as I could no longer drift Tigers. Apparently, it is still not possible. Too bad.
Squad 44 about 400 people on line, Hell about 4 thousand.
If squad 44 can’t get a version on console it will never kill hell let loose
Eh HLL has a larger player base on console. So doubt S44 will kill it
because what choice do console players have? lol. If I was still stuck on my PS5 then HLL would be my #1 played game. Now that I have a PC, it's Squad. And hopefully soon Squad 44.
it has a larger playerbase on on steam as well HLL goes has 7k players on during peak hours and squad 44 hardly reaches 1000
@@Angelic_Hero it will change in future due T17 is going to likely downshift the updates. they have milked all money from HLL community and are now moving on differend things. you still get occasional bugfix etc or cosmetics but thats gonna be it. the game is slowly going to be downshifted. Meanwhile S44 is just getting its feathers back in good condition with the aid of OWI. Might look differend in few years that the ww2 scene shifts more towards S44 in PC
It would be a blessing if S44 came to console
If they put it on console and it's cross platform with pc then I think it would grow and get better than hell let loose

Squad 44 would be my preferred game, but the patch came with a tonne of bugs including a big one that basically had the game crash after 30 minutes of play. I understand it has been hotfixed but only in the last few days so I was planning to hop back on.
Its very much a warning to rushing out a patch, I had a bunch of friends excited to get back into squad 44 and the awful patch had some of them (one in particular) swear off the game entirely as he was sick of bugs always ruining his experience.
Now granted he doesnt play Hell Let Loose either for a lot of the same reasons.
The issue with squad 44 regarding HLL is the graphics quality at close distance. It's worse and feel a outdated game. But all squads games are like that.
The age of hll is over... the time of S44 has come!
i feel like hell let loose may drop off more on PC because of the competition but not on consle since it is really the only game of its type available for consle players. Its still has a storm of issues but still played cause its the only thing available.
HLL is just a lot more playable, that's why it is vastly more popular than S44. It's simpler and not nearly as hardcore. Personally I think S44 is still too clunky to really enjoy. I'd rather see the developers improve the game than add more guns, factions and vehicles.
Ngl man, if you u played it since post scriptum, you’d be tired of the maps in some way or the other by now
2:36
You meant the "Wirbelwind" (Whirlwind), but confused it with the Panzerwerfer. And no, what you are seeing at 2:37 is the so called Ostwind (East Wind).
Graphically Squad 44 looks amazing now after the update. HLL looks slightly better maybe but it has plastic COD looking graphics
Not going to lie I was watching someone play squad44 the other day and the atmosphere in the game is insane the explosion the whole feeling of the game is gritty loved it. I went and played hell let loose and it just didn't have that same effect as watching squad44... I believed there's even mortar team and I also saw someone using a flak gun soo many in squad44
All squad 44 has to do is to release it on consoles and it will immediately destroy how let loose and I’m not saying that this should come immediately. I’m just saying with helmet we was being on consoles it’s more accessible to a casual gamer.
meanwhile me, Squad 44/Post Scriptum killed the game for me when I heard how awful it is the sound sfx when HLL first came out
Truthfully, there’s nothing on the market comparable to Hell Let Loose. Arma is too sparse with its combat. Insurgency is too limited. If you have a hour and a half available HLL is just a masterpiece. If you’re communicating and your squad is proactive. Hell Let Loose is a cinematic experience. You can see yourself as the person you are playing. How the combat feels is also great. The controls are a little clumsy and could use some polishing but overall it’s incredibly fun. There is nothing quite like running through MG42 fire and seeing the entire squad get mowed down and you are hiding behind the bodies. Last night when I was playing we were calling in artillery on our own position trying to plug the breach in our defense. There’s a 30+ meter margin of error on where artillery is going to hit. So we are basically beginning a man who is using a map and iPad app to thread the needle around our building. When the first shell hit, I commented that “we are definitely in the margin of error range”. So we were just laughing because it was just a matter of time before a stray caught us. “Fire for effort”
This is the kinda shit people don't understand. Hell Let Loose is a complete utter masterpiece. I saw one dude saying the guns have too much dispersion and that the movement is too fast for the tight corridor maps. Like dude, you people just don't get it.
And the fact that both of those statements are entirely brainless.
They should release an update titled "Heave Hold Tight" to jab at HLL lol
sorry for being a nip picker but a stug is not a tank its an assualt gun. It was first in the end of the war tank units got them as assualt gun from the arty units. Other then that little thing that dont really matter, nice video and you made me install the game again.
Greek front was from before OWI bought the game and isn't made by the previous team or OWI, it was made by a mod team who is the main team working on Squad44 called Mercury arts. Personally always preferred Post Scriptum over HLL, HLL just didn't have enough serious players who actually cared about the obj, visually HLL is better but Squad44 will always be the better game gameplay wise and player base wise.
If they would put squad 44 on console there would be a ton more players.
I’m waiting man
Yes, a ton of players who just want to run and gun and who don't communicate. No thanks.
@@graustreifbrombeerkralle1078 That elitist attitude is what will keep the playerbase small and the game from growing
@@greggblack8205
The very point and core of Squad 44 is being a hardcore mil-sim game with a high emphasis on tactics, communications and teamwork. There is no point in turning Squad 44 into a clone of Hell Let Loose just to grow the playerbase for the sake of it.
@@graustreifbrombeerkralle1078 HLL console players are no issue as far as anything you mentioned goes. You're just on drugs. Cross play would make post Scriptum explode in popularity
THE GREEK FRONT ROCKS
One thing squad 44 needs is eastern front maps ill probably get the game when they have them
