Uniek realizes exactly what is going on and she understands you 100%. She really is practically a human horse. Royal regal proud and so very very wise. It is in her eyes. So special.

The girls are so attentive and content and happy they're not vocalizing constantly from stress. I don't think the average viewer realizes how chaotic a stable atmosphere can be. It seems like some people don't realize that they've become joyless in their interaction with animals and it's become drudgery. Horses are very sensitive to vibes in the herd and their environment, noisy places full of yelling, neighing, clanging, cars and trucks going, cigarettes being smoked can freak stabled horses out, especially fire survivors but I used to see people do it any way.
Working in stables for me wasn't always pleasant and eventually I switched to small animals instead.
I swear I'd move to Friesland for the opportunity to experience this place it'd be like catharsis and treatment for my PTSD.

Getting my daily Friesian fix and can’t believe how quickly time has passed while rewatching this video. They all grow up so fast.

Watching and rewatching some old videos and I realize now how close to and how fond of Reintje Yvonne has always been. I started with Uniek and Risey meeting each other so I didn’t know their history together. Of course Yvonne would pick Reintje - she loves her! And she’s beautiful and has amazing babies! I love this video to see infant Teije. He’s such a sweetheart then and now!
How curious the horses are to look at the baby! But baby Tije sleeps the sleep of the innocent and even his name sake Tije could not wake him. Bless the little ones, both horse and human!
And it is good to see Yvonne riding again; she always misses it so much when she can't. Also, and I love her seat on a horse. She sits so straight and seems in complete control; way to go, Yvonne!

I loved rewatching this video! Teije is so precious! He finds the clip clop of hooves relaxing too! Reintje and Minze Teije were very interested in Teije. Reintje seemed to say “ this is your namesake Minze Teije. He is very small. Son, you must be careful and you can play together when you are both weaned”
I never though a young colt would have those instincts, specially with his Mom.
I glad Reintje didn't sneeze when she had her nose in the buggy, on the other hand I wonder what the baby's reaction would have been if he opened his eyes and saw that big nose instead of Mom?

I love how, especially when you hold him upright in the crook of your arm, Teije as I know him now is already right there in that little sleeping face! Unmistakable. And for everyone except Saly, he is unmistakably yours. Poor Saly is so very skittish, but she produces such beautiful babies!
