My name is Yvonne. I create and post videos about my daily life with Friesian Horses. I will show you the true Friesian Horse and what they are like: day to day care, training, riding dressage and the very special birthing of foals. I explain the facts about breeding Friesian Horses and the steps I take to help better the breed.
You will learn that Friesian Horses have a naturally high gait, whether or not they can jump, if they are good for beginners and what they eat.

Watching Risey play with the branch in the pasture was heartwarming. It looks like Coralle & Uniek are becoming friends. Reintje shaking the food container was so funny. I couldn't believe Uniek was actually not hungry has that ever happened before? Yfke chasing that 1 bird was so funny, the bird finally fly off to get away from her.💞
Rising Star has been looking better and better. He is curious, friendly, interested in all about him....and his coat GLOWS with health.

Uniek knows she is The Queen and has nothing more to prove. She allows Coraelle to be the boss, for now. I hope that Coraelle is good about letting you near the foal after its birth. I can tell that she has warmed up somewhat.
I also think that you have made the right decisions regarding gelding the two stallions. Risey certainly needs a calmer life if he is going to recover.
Side note: My OCD appreciates that you clean the eye dirt from the horses’ eyes!!

Not OCD at all I always cleaned my dogs' eyes each morning it is common sense and to keep them clean must prevent infections

You and Uniek raised Rising Star to be sweet, obedient and very responsive to humans. I hope and pray jis health issues relent and he can be healthy and "more" normal. Goodness, the footage of Corale makes her look as black as all the Friesians! How did that happen? Yfke wants to push and shove you just like she does with her mom! Pretty soon time to wean! Will she go to the other barn, too? I enjoy your videos because they are so true to the barn life of horse lovers. I can practically smell the horses and the feed! Thank you for all your efforts.

Coralle seems to have become more friendly. Queen U is always spectacular, but I'm so thrilled to see more of Rientje. For me, I just adore her! RS is very sweet. I continue to agree with others in prayer for his healing. Yfke...what a sweetie! Her hair is still so curly. Is that because she is still so young? I love the way you teach her to allow people to work with her.

I love how Uniek and Coralle like each other. The scratching between them does not hurt. I had a horse scratch my back. The only way I can explain it "is it's heaven." It feels like a person is using their fingers to scratch you. Have someone scratch the horse's withers and you stand with your back to the horse. Round your shoulders towards your ears. That way the horse isn't going to accidentally bite down on your shoulder blades. Then move yourself around to get the entire back scratched. I'd love to have my back scratched again. Mathilde loves animals and they sense it. Risey looks so good. Gelding Risey is going to be the best for him. Spidey being gelded will be good too. I love the video.

Nice to see the grooming session between Coralle and Uneik! I love the way Yfke runs around playing, still a tall girl and very sweet. Lots of prayers for Risey, he seems happy in himself, Stal H is good for him.

Here are some fun facts. My favorite horse was Man O War, who's nickname was Big Red, followed by Citation and of course Secretariat who was also nicknamed Big Red. Man O War's sire (Fair Play) was Secretariat's great-great-great grandsire. Horses related to Secretariat are RISEN STAR and LITTLE RED ! This just tickled me because I see something special in Rising Star and I hope he conquers his problems if only so that he won't be put down. He has my ❤
Coralle looks absolutely gorgeous in this video. And Risey does not seem to have a severe case of wobblers. Some horses with it are much more disabled. So I continue to hope that he will improve if not heal 100%. I am not afraid of spiders. They help keep unwelcome bugs under control.

If we get to see RS as an adult, I wonder how tall he'll become due to the fact that he's going to be gelded in a few weeks. Geldings are usually a little bit taller than stallions on average due to the slower growth rate which gives their growth plates more time to close. Another Sjors incoming, maybe? RS was already going to be very tall as a stallion.
I also wondered if Risey would be the Sjors of Stal H!

Thanks Yvonne for a beautiful video. Your videos are so calming! I used to have horses, and I don't miss the riding so much, I do miss the sights and sounds and smells of horses. Especially their munching -- why is it we don't like to hear people eat, but love the sound of horses eating? lol. Rising Star is looking great, he glows in the sun. As always I pray for his recovery, and in the meantime, he is enjoying life grazing and being near other horses. And I think he will be more content as a gelding (I read you will be gelding him?). Thank you for making sure he has such a great quality of life!
About spiders -- here in Ohio, USA, we don't have too many spiders that are poisonous. I'm not afraid of them. We do have Black Widow spiders and Brown Recluse, those can be a problem, but the chances of getting bitten by them are small really.
I love being able to see Risey more, and I keep remembering him in my prayers. I know like with humans, there are always new medical treatments being found, I think it’s the same with animals too. I hope there is something new for Wobblers soon!🥰🐴🙏🏻💫💞

Coralle has learned that being patted and scratched is very nice. I remember when she first arrived she would always move away. Risey has discovered branches are good to eat.
Am so luving Yfke and waiting for her foal coat to change......she reminds me of curly headed children.....cos her baby coat always had that slight curl.....wunder didnt have that......but he definately went to full fresian black relatively quickly......will miss the little trouble maker.....are you going to breed from Saly again?..... also when is corolle due.....with her Uniek baby? Many years ago I had a filly born from one of my horses.....that looked like Risey ..a Thoroughbred.......so Risey always tugs at my heart strings.....thinking you saying Coralle is Boss.....maybe her baby should be called "Queen Boss Baby" ..ponders as Uniek is scratching Corrole.....makes me think she is saying to her...."Just remember who is "Queen"

Hi from Canada love Little yfke she is such a refined beauty 💖 What I wanted to tell you about was a show I was watching and it concerned a cat that that had a chip put in her neck and when putting it in the vet had struck a nerve and she could not walk right after it. So her owner took her back and had the chip removed and she was ok again soooo I wanted to tell you about it as you had Risey chipped I believe and was wondering if maybe that was the problem with him. Just thought I would bring it up as food for thought. Stranger things do happen I loved Risey(( At first glance )) lol The day he arrived think I heard that before watching every day you post. take care many hugs.😀😀

Yvonne rode Uniek and Reintje a lot for their dressage competitions and is very used to riding them. She never rode Saly, who is more skittish, very often.
I absolutely love that the horses are handled fro birth.i know that has th be a great asset in training as you go as they grow.

Yfke is such a sweetheart. She's getting so big and learning lots of new things. It looked like Yfke enjoyed the grooming session. Seeing her chasing the bird was priceless.

i think Yfke is going to become a stunning mare, i'm so excited to watch her grow up!!!
Such a good girl, Yfke is! it’s great that she’s enjoying her early training. She will have always to pick up her hooves for cleaning & for the farrier She will always require grooming (and especially before those important future keurings). I think she’ll end up being a righty mane like Uniek, but maybe not? So glad that Uniek looks very comfortable after yesterday‘s trail ride. Hope Yvonne’s soreness went away quickly. I’m so glad that Risey seems so happy at Stal H with his two mems Yvonne, Uniek & the others. I believe it’s a good sign that he’s playing again. I also think that Saly & Wunder were totally ready to be separated. I’m also glad that Risey & Spidey will be gelded so that can safely stay together at Stal H. I hope that one day, (after his testerone level decreases) Risey will be able to go out in the meadow with the mares , like Sjors does.
Risey has had plenty of training to be a watchman like Sjors, he had him to learn from.😘

Awe yfke is so cute and adorable chasing the little birds,I love this video and I enjoy watching it.I am still praying for rising star's full recovery from his wobblers in his back legs.I am hoping and praying that the treatments continue to heal rising star that he had a while ago.
I love how Uniek and Coralle groom each other. I especially like how Uniek wiggles her upper lip against Coralle's mane. It almost looks like a form of massage😂.
And Uniek came up with a very gentle form to use on Yvonne's neck!

Uniek is such a pretty mover…her hooves barely seem to touch the ground.❤ we have huge spiders here in the southern United States. I don’t mind them being big because I can see them, and get out of their way. When we ride in the woods, I always make the person on the tallest horse go first-to break the webs across the path.😊

I miss scrolling down and seeing the information from Stal G. I haven't seen any of the horses from there lately, and sometimes I want to remind myself of which horses are still there, how old Wytse is...and other things. I am sad that Yvonne is no longer so connected there - but she cannot be everywhere, of course. I am sure the horses there and the people miss her, but her family needs her too.
I noticed Yfke right eye looked red when she was drinking her milk. Did she damage it?

Coralle looks like she is going to burst. I was really surprised at how many times she rolled. That must have felt so good to her. It is so nice to have your friends help out at times. Dogs can tell who likes them. I think Matilde is good with all the animals. Take care and have a pleasant evening.
Uniek is like a massage therapist, inspecting Coralle/s neck for "just the right spot" to treat with a good scratch/massage! Soooo wise!
