That's all nice, but let's have a lot more love for visuals because that's also an important part of flight. I'll give you an example. Flying into rain will reduce your visibility, Strobe lights and landing lights shining on clouds as you fly through them can impede your vision and sometimes you have to turn them off so you're not blinded by reflected light. I am sure there are some folks into the whole physics elements and science but let's be honest here, the dynamics you are working on relate to the default aircraft that comes with Xplane but much of it isn't something 3d party devs concentrate on or put a whole load of time into so the "dynamics" of xplane gets undone by none accurate flight models of third party aircraft (Im sure that many here will either be flying Zibo and flight factor aircraft with very few flying the default aircraft)
hi Austin, how do you think of the below feature: when I pilot the plane by monitor, my friend is wearing a VR headset and enjoying the view. It's like a tour for a guest.
I started to understand that from a professional approach, the simulation is the right oil temperature in some hidden part of some aircraft is way more important than a working anti-aliasing or a non-freezing replay system that by the way crashes the game 50% of the time, which is not solved for... We can talk about YEARS now. Thank you for making me understand the professional approach. I just blame myself for being an everyday amateur simmer. Good pilots don't care these unimportant stuff. Only me, the amateur gamer. The wannabe.
Have to say, I've grown up around aviation all my life (father is a retired airline pilot). I had never known about how jets cool their oil - that's very interesting! Also, I didn't know about breakaway thrust, but it totally makes sense. This is great video series for explaining those concepts! One piece of feedback that got me cringing during the video - so many mentions of "I have...". I get it that Austin is the inventor of this sim, but I'm guessing the team is always growing and would appreciate a "we" approach when announcing updates.
The game and free demo can barely work on my macbook pro M1. For some reason the right click is the left click on the mouse, for starters LOL. I really hope to be able to work this game properly... seems awesome!
Can the screen alignment pattern be extended to setups using 3 or more monitor setups? Would be nice to have something that made screen alignments easier.
Austin - could you use satellite data to drive some of your graphics? Flying the simulator function in Google Earth provides elements of a wonderful experience. Of course, it's a terrible flight sim, but I can fly over my house and see the canoe I had laying out in the front yard last summer. How neat is that?
MSFS: Consumer Game XP: A simulator Now they both ar amazing, I just hope that devs also come back to XP, you can see big devs completely left XP sitting to the side, Just Flight, PMDG, Aerosoft etc... They all more or less halted development. Also what I've heard version 12.1.0 is going to be a dive into graphics, which will attract many users I think, if done correctly at the get-go.

I agree. Austin doesn’t seem to value visuals.
So, when is rendering and processing optimization going to be a thing?
hi Austin, how do you think of the below feature: when I pilot the plane by monitor, my friend is wearing a VR headset and enjoying the view. It's like a tour for a guest.
Austin delivering as always
and what are you going to do about helicopters??? thanks
Great! Following!
Great stuffs, I have one question thou, how to generate QTG in xplane12?
hi Austin,
I just bought X-plane 12 on DVD, are these updates free?
i got the update but that breakaway thrust not work i guess. still same tires.
When will you update xplane 10/mobile game
I started to understand that from a professional approach, the simulation is the right oil temperature in some hidden part of some aircraft is way more important than a working anti-aliasing or a non-freezing replay system that by the way crashes the game 50% of the time, which is not solved for... We can talk about YEARS now. Thank you for making me understand the professional approach. I just blame myself for being an everyday amateur simmer. Good pilots don't care these unimportant stuff. Only me, the amateur gamer. The wannabe.
That was fascinating sir. Thanks for sharing!
Cant wait for the next updates!
Love your passion!
You are an Hero Austin.
Xplane Is great
The game and free demo can barely work on my macbook pro M1. For some reason the right click is the left click on the mouse, for starters LOL.
I really hope to be able to work this game properly... seems awesome!
Can the screen alignment pattern be extended to setups using 3 or more monitor setups? Would be nice to have something that made screen alignments easier.
Yah here at beta we are already using this for a 6-projector system.
Austin - could you use satellite data to drive some of your graphics? Flying the simulator function in Google Earth provides elements of a wonderful experience. Of course, it's a terrible flight sim, but I can fly over my house and see the canoe I had laying out in the front yard last summer. How neat is that?
I would worry about this giving the owners of the satellite data too much power.
I learned a lot from this! Amazing stuff.
MSFS: Consumer Game
XP: A simulator
Now they both ar amazing, I just hope that devs also come back to XP, you can see big devs completely left XP sitting to the side, Just Flight, PMDG, Aerosoft etc... They all more or less halted development. Also what I've heard version 12.1.0 is going to be a dive into graphics, which will attract many users I think, if done correctly at the get-go.
Can you come up with the formulae to compute how much money we'll have to spend to update our computers to manage all this computations??? WOW!!!
Amazing!
12.0.7 on Sonoma crashing repeatedly on pre-loading. Can do a Zoom and demonstrate.
fingers crossed for better multiplayer
hey there, dev team, could you please, PLEASE get some sort of texture update on the mobile version? i can barely see text in some cases
Fascinating! Just got xpkane12! Love it
Dose this simulate automatically to the aircraft in the simulator or is it required for the third party developer to add this to their aircraft.
This is why xplane is the GOAT. The detail he goes into for this sim is out of this world. His passion makes Xplane great. Just switch to XP12 a few months ago. That other sim has been collecting dust. 😂 XP12 for the win
