Sir, few of the facts are wrong, as I am a 4th year (2025 Batch) CH student at IIPE I can verify the facts. For general students the fees are 75k per sem, the fee's structure changes for odd/even sem and for different family incomes and CGPA.
This year 2024, ONGC did not visit the institute, and compared to petroleum, chemical is having better placements, if anyone wants to join choose wisely.
Not only for joining at IIPE, but anywhere else, clubs are mostly inactive, so do not expect much from IIPE for extracurricular activity.
No one got below 100 in GATE CH, this year 2024. 3 students got below 100 in GATE PE, this year 2024. But many students get below 500 ranks in GATE in either of the branches.
So, if you really want to join IIPE, visit the website and check your requirements.

@@AshishRanjan-ub1yl To be honest, the college strength is too low, so to conduct any activity or event, the man power is quite less, so there are no regular events.
And there is no permanent campus yet, is still in construction, you can see progress in IIPE Vizag youtube channel, so there is nothing such as good campus life here. As it is a just hostel (extraordinarily good, one of the good thing about IIPE) and institute (Just a floor of 10 to 12 rooms and a small building with labs). No playgrounds for IIPEans, but can use AU(Andhra University where IIPE temporary college is) ground which is already being used by all the people of vizag. But one good thing is currently the campus is in the heart of vizag unlike permanent campus which is situated in outskirts, almost it is in the jungle.
Bhaiya can i get iipe chemical ? My sc rank is 4004 .. and how's the placement and academic scenario, I've read about it and i have seen it on their official Website too but i think it would be better to know from a senior , please reply bhaiya it will help a lot.
@@anirbanroy6553 I can not gaurantee you whether you will get or not, but seeing the trends of previous 4-5 batches, there is a good chance for you to get admission.
Coming to placements, I have seen 3 batches passing out and I can say that Placements percentage is quite high(more than 90%) at IIPE for Chemical branch. And with NIRF rank probably coming this year the placements for our batch will be almost 100% as few companies asks for NIRF ranking, and almost 10-15 students get placed into PSU's and subsidaries but there are very few private core companies coming to IIPE.
In Academic point of view IIPE offers a better cirriculum than most of the NIT's and IIT's for chemical.
