I do agree with the fact that we need to debate with rebels to protect our children mindset. Today's children are tomorrow's leader. If somebody is given life death sentence, just think for a moment (may be for Mili seconds) What they might have done and what the victim went through and what victim's family is going through. Emotional satisfaction of victims family way much important than whether guilty person learned something or not. Our life becomes upside down when we lose contact with our dear one for few hours, how come people become insensitive to someone else's loss.

"As is the case with most conspiracies, there is and could be no evidence amounting to criminal conspiracy, but the incident, which resulted in heavy casualties, had shaken the entire nation, and the collective conscience of society will only be satisfied if capital punishment is awarded to the offender."
Judgements must be based on evidence!! Not on emotions!! That judgement in my opinions is a mistake! They even executed him before anyone could respond, without informimg his family members and buried him within the jail and didn't give his body to relatives!

Asking her and labeling the video as the truth of what happened in JNU is like asking a murderer whether murder took place or not.
Organizing an event for Afzal Guru itself is an act of sedition and all those involved must be facing trial.

Apologies but the video fails to present the reality for people to make neutral decision. People in that protest where Anti India slogans were raised should identify the ones who did it and rescue their leader Kanhaiya instead of fumbling on the sequence of events on that day to safeguard the ones who are responsible for raising those slogans. if you are saying the ones who raised anti India slogans did so because they were provoked, you are absolutely not on any higher moral grounds to question ones who got provoked by hearing such slogans. I wish the person who made this video asked some counter questions to those interviewed rather than presenting their voices as the "reality." If the news videos you showed in this film were biased then this video isn't anything but "biased" on the other side. having said that, what's happening in JNU is unfortunate and needs to be stopped immediately perhaps with words of Gandhi - "PEACE". Opportunists from both the sides should stop fanning their political ideologies and neutral people should join together to end this mess. Okay let me point out a few things here to the supporters of the JNU union based solely on what I've seen in this video.
(1) You can deny being an anti national all you want, but holding protests and demonstrations against the capital punishment given to terrorists convicted by our Judicial System is called being ANTI NATIONAL! You are protesting in the interest of people who have waged an open war with our motherland!
(2) Let's talk about capital punishment now. You think capital punishment is inhuman and incorrect so you want it to be abolished. Let me tell you what happens when you capture terrorist masterminds and keep them in our prisons without capital punishment. The December 1999 hijack is what happens that resulted in us having to hand over three Jihadi Masterminds. One of which possibly went on to orchestrate the 9/11 attacks (Ahmed Omar Saeed) and the other (Maulana Masood Azhar) ended up being one of the key conspirators of the 26/11 attacks as well as the Pathankot Attacks and has publicly vowed to not rest until India has been destroyed! That's what happens when you don't give convicted terrorists Capital Punishment
(3) Mahatma Gandhi, Lokamanya Tilak and other freedom fighters were arrested for sedition AGAINST the BRITISH RAJ, FOR INDIA! Your representative(s) is/are being arrested/accused of sedition AGAINST The Republic of INDIA! It's not the same, so don't liken yourselves to Mahatma Gandhi or Lokamanya Tilak. You are not in their company!
(4) Yes like Ms.Madhuri rightly points out, to fight something wrong, you must point out and express anything and everything thats wrong even if it sounds displeasing to your ears. Very True. That's democracy, and freedom of speech and expression. You can raise all issues you want, against anybody you want in our country. You can be a whistle blower and an activist all you want; and every time you blow the whistle, you'll get positive and negative responses all the same because there'll be people with interests for and against the matter. But the moment you defend a convicted terrorist against your country in the name of being activists, you would've brought onto yourselves the collective disapproval of all persons who even slightly consider themselves to be patriotic.
P.S let us for once assume that nobody from your union shouted out the anti national slogans as many of you repeatedly point out. But holding protests in the interest of convicted terrorists responsible for jihadism on our soil is being Anti National in itself. Period.

I think this video impressively captured the perspectives of the students that are being abused with the term "anti-nationalists" . On the other hand, the mainstream media is mostly focusing on "nationalist" and portraying a war type situation. they want us to choose sides... and hence labeling it with extreme terms. In my opinion, the solution is to spread more awareness regarding the term nationalism and anti nationalism and actually understanding both the sides with empathy and open mind. I believe this is actually an opportunity to get together and learn from this fiasco.

My lady, people can protest capital punishment but they cannot portray supreme court(the highest authority which interprets the Constitution) as murderers of democracy. People like Gopal Krishna Gandhi had filed petitions to prevent Yakub Menon's death punishment but they never went against the SC decision.
Also these students shouted azadi slogans for kashmir (as seen in the video) which means they support secession in kashmir. But it's against Indian foreign policy. It becomes difficult for indian diplomats to take a stand in UN on this issue thus creating obstructions in resolution of this conflict.

Anti National? How? They took permission for the cultural night for which they were given permission. When they were denied that, they protested peacefully. All JNU students, even 3 ABVP leaders say they condemned the anti national slogans and that their university is being made a scapegoat. Nowhere on camera or on any video available, does Kanhaiya Kumar say anything against India. You don't want to believe the eyewitnesses? or the video footage? then that's OK. it's your choice to remain ignorant. But based on all the videos available and all testimonies from the students, it's safe to say there's a large conspiracy against all anti-government (not anti-india) voices, which is against the spirit of democracy.

I want to tell everyone that in JNU not all programs are pro or anti, some are just neutral where people who have knowledge about the incidents and have facts come front and educate people. Also, I am sure majority of the people of India had not even heard the name Afzal Guru before 2016.
